[Flood Dragon], a subspecies of dragons of Eastern origin that were mostly related to snakes that have lived for countless years and in the process, managed to awaken their dormant draconic blood.
Cloud was facing what appeared to be a hybrid between a human and a [Flood Dragon], and from what he could sense, its mother was the [Magical Beast].
Normally in situations like this, the "[Magical Beast]" is the one with the dominant genes, that's why even if the child cos out a hybrid, it will end up having more characteristics of the [Magical Beast] than the human parent.
"I'm interested in eting your mother so I can ask her so questions" - Cloud said honestly.
"Cloud, that can be taken with double aning" - said Kyoko as she patted her forehead and let out a sigh of exasperation.
"Oh, sorry about that" - Cloud replied as he saw that his words could be taken in a bad way - "It's just that I'm curious what kind of actions your mother did in order to evolve."
"My mother disappeared when my father died" - Gehl replied as she gave the blond a dark look.
"Oh, I'm sorry" - Cloud said with a slightly uncomfortable expression on his face, though it quickly disappeared - "Pretend I didn't say anything."
"He's a little strange" - Piyon said as she cocked her head to the side - "Handso, but strange."
"Normally, [Magical Beasts] when they transform into humans, they are more or less beautiful depending on their species and their power level" - said Clook as she started to think - "If we take into account that Cloud is a dragon, and possibly a very strong one, then we can accept his appearance without any problem."
Cloud raised an eyebrow when he heard this, only to shake his head, after all, this had been his 'original' appearance since long before he beca a dragon.
"Anyway, I think we're getting too far off topic" - Cloud said as he looked at the won with narrowed eyes - "Why have they been following us?"
"What makes you think we were following you'll, and not that we've co to explore this area?" - Piyon asked as she folded her arms.
"First, this area is not popular among hunters, not even among the strongest mbers of the association, second, it's too much of a coincidence that you guys ca to explore just at the ti we were here" - replied Kyōka calmly - "Third, as far as I can see, you guys didn't even co prepared for the 'dangers' of this place, proving that you didn't even know where you were going"
"You're smarter than I thought" - Piyon said as she looked at the blue-haired woman - "And I thought all your brains had gone to your tits."
"If you want to fight, all you have to do is ask, little playboy bunny" - Kyōka said disdainfully as she released her aura - "But I want you to know that I have no rcy, so I recomnd you to grit your teeth tightly."
One of the few things that annoyed Kyōka, was being called an idiot.
She was not only the smartest girl in her grade at the academy, she had been considered one of the smartest students nationally. Kyōka was not only beautiful, powerful, but also very smart, but this she did not show for different reasons.
One, she wanted to fight against strong opponents, so she fought head-on, without asuring the consequences because only then would she find the thrill she was looking for.
Two, she was direct and simple in her decision making. Kyōka was one of those people who after deciding sothing, would not change her mind until the end, and when everyone saw the results, they would attribute it all to luck, and not thanks to all the analysis she had done before acting.
Third, this was a mask to make her opponents let their guard down. Kyōka was an expert at taking advantage of the slightest mistake made by her opponents, which is why she displayed such a simplistic attitude despite her intelligence.
All those factors, combined with her simple personality, made Kyōka look like a stupid woman who only thought with her muscles.
"Let's save it for another ti" - Piyon replied with a forced smile because she could feel as if she was in front of [Dragon] right now.
"Ok, let's save the gas for another ti" - Cheadle said as ehe sighed regretfully - "It's okay, we've been following you'll."
"Why?" - Kyoko asked as she frowned - "Why has the strongest and most famous group in the [Hunters Association], co after us?"
"For the simple fact that we don't know how dangerous he is" - replied Piyon as she pointed at Cloud, who could only raise an eyebrow - "A [Magical Beast] of Rank S on the danger scale, and with the ability to [Devour], is very bad news if he's out of control, more so when he can take human form and blend in among groups of people."
"I see" - Cloud muttered with acceptance - "Makes sense."
"You're not upset?" - nchi asked in surprise at the blond's glib attitude.
"Not in the least" - Cloud replied calmly, after all, he still had mories of the previous world and how he almost lost control after becoming a [Tyrant] - "I understand your point of view, and honestly I would do the sa thing if I were in your situation."
"Do you an it, or just to get us to let our guard down?" - Clook asked disdainfully.
"He ans it" - answered Kyōka calmly as she folded her arms - "He has no need to lie to you."
"But that doesn't an he's telling us the absolute truth" - replied Cheadle as she adjusted her glasses.
"We all hide certain secrets that shouldn't co out" - Cloud replied calmly - "If even you humans hide the truth from each other, why should I tell all my secrets?"
"Ok, you have a point" - said Clook as she frowned - "But that doesn't take away from the fact that you are a latent danger"
"What are you planning to do?" - Cloud asked as he frowned, after all, he didn't want to beco an enemy of the [Hunters Association] just monts after joining them, though that didn't an he wouldn't defend himself if they attacked first.
"Relax, we're not planning to attack you just because you're a possible danger, we're not that savage" - Cheadle said while trying to calm the blond, after all, she could feel the growing hostility he was releasing.
"So what are you guys planning to do?" - Cloud asked with annoyance - "Do you'll want to put a collar around my neck, by any chance?"
"Not in the least, we've only co to keep an eye on you and make sure you're not a danger" - replied Piyon as she shook her head.
"Watch ?" - Cloud repeated in surprise, only to shoot a glare at nchi - "Isn't she responsible for that?"
"No offense to nchi-san, but she's not powerful enough to be able to stop you if you get out of control" - replied Cheadle seriously.
"Relax, I was already aware of that detail" - nchi replied calmly, although at the sa ti she was a bit annoyed with this truth that was impossible to refute.
"I guess you all ca because if I get out of control, at least one of you will be able to escape, right?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"That's one way of looking at it" - Cheadle felt earnestly.
She, as well as the others, knew that if this man was similar to Netero, then they wouldn't be able to defeat him, but that didn't an that at least one of her could escape if necessary.
"Ok, I understand, I guess I can't do anything to stop you'll from following us" - Cloud said as he shook his head, though everyone could tell that he was disinterested, after all, it wasn't as if he wished to wreak havoc just because.
"I was expecting another kind of reaction" - Clook said as she called her companions to speak - "Each of us is beautiful."
"Maybe Netero-sama's thoughts are wrong and he is not as we think" - replied Cheadle seriously.
"Or there may be another motive far more hurtful to our feminine pride" - Piyon said with a frown - "That he does not find us attractive"
"That's a rather painful option" - nodded Clook with a frown - "But I don't think it's possible, outside of breasts, we're on a similar or slightly lower level than those two won."
"She's right, though it's not like it affects our mission" - Gel replied seriously - "It's not like we're coming to beco his concubines."
"Right, my thoughts were distorted because he was handso" - Piyon said as she nodded - "It's impressive what a pretty face can do to soone."
"Well, leaving that issue aside, at least he doesn't have such an annoying ntality as we thought]" - Clook said calmly - "Honestly, I thought he'd be soone more proud."
