Blood was covering his vision as he felt his body was on the verge of collapse, but he still stood up and looked at Kyōka wearily.
Shizuku quickly went to her friend and tried to help him when she saw that he was staggering.
"Run away" - Franklin muttered as he pushed her and stood on guard.
He was aware that his life had co to an end.
His Nen ability was useless, his physical strength had been easily surpassed, and his stamina was ending, Franklin knew it would be a short ti before his life would be over, but there was still hope for Shizuku if he put what little energy he had left into one last effort.
"But," Shizuku muttered.
"Go away!" - Franklin roared as he glared at his friend and ordered her to retreat.
Shizuku gave him one last look before nodding and running off.
Revenge wasn't going through her mind because she knew it would be futile.
Much of the [Ghost Brigade] were stronger than her, and they had been falling one after another.
Franklin slowly looked up and noticed how Kyōka was silently watching him.
"Thank you for letting her escape" - Franklin said as he felt disgust for saying those words.
That woman and her companions, had killed a great part of his friends, but he was thanking her for sparing Shizuku's life.
"You don't have to thank " - Kyōka replied while shaking her head - "I only did it because I'm impressed by your actions."
"My life is about to end, Shalnark has no hope of survival, even if Shizuku helps him escape, which would make her hope for getting out of this place, much less" - replied Franklin while spreading his hands - "But let's put that aside, get it over with".
"As you wish" - answered Kyōka as she appeared in front of Franklin and gave him a firm punch on his chest, right in the area where his heart was.
Franklin's body trembled slightly before he felt everything around him freeze.
Slowly the life escaped his eyes as his body went static.
Franklin had fallen, leaving only 3 mbers of the [Ghost Brigade] in the area, and another escaping at full speed.
"Possibly this will cause a little trouble" - Kyōka muttered as she shook her head and walked towards the place where the others were gathered.

"Looks like it's all over" - said Cloud as he looked in the direction where his companions were gathering - "What surprises , is that Kyōka let that woman with glasses escape".
"Don't lie, it's impossible that our companions died so fast!" - Phinks shouted angrily as he narrowed his eyes, but the silence in the distance made him think the worst.
If Cloud's words were true, then his group had been brutally annihilated, which he didn't want to believe.
"Phinks, keep your mind in the ga," Feitan said neutrally as he narrowed his eyes.
Not to sound cold, but it didn't matter the outco of the other battles, as long as they killed the man in front of them, because by doing so, they could kill the rest, or torture them in the slowest and most painful way possible.
"Feitan is right, we have to keep calm" - Chrollo answered while looking neutrally at the blond man - "But tell , why did you attack us?"
"Do I have to have a reason?" - Cloud asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"If you don't want to be treated like a rabid dog, yes" - nodded Chrollo as he waited for Cloud's answer.
The blond was silent for a few seconds before nodding - "If I'm honest, it was all a huge coincidence and a very bad luck of you guys, we didn't plan on attacking you, but one thing led to another."
"Are you kidding !" - Phinks exclaid with fury as he felt like every vein in his body, was about to explode.
"I gain nothing by lying in this situation, my every word is 100% real" - Cloud replied calmly as his gaze sharpened - "Yes, I hunt high ranking criminals, but I don't choose my prey most of the ti, we just follow the wind and wait for so idiot to co and bother us, and we get the job done."
Feitan's expression changed slightly to a grim one as Chrollo continued to maintain his stoic attitude.
"Back to the point, if it wasn't for that Pakunoda woman, we wouldn't have gotten information about you, if it wasn't for you trying to get us out of the hotel to try to capture Neon Nostrade, we wouldn't have advanced so fast, if it wasn't for the attack at the auction, we wouldn't have decided to start a fight until the end" - Cloud continued while shrugging his shoulders - "That's why I say that this battle, was the product of many coincidences and a lot of bad luck, in fact, the result was also thanks to many coincidences, otherwise, my companions wouldn't have finished so fast".
Chrollo's expression, had darkened as he thought at full speed, only to sigh regretfully - "I see, that makes a lot of sense."
"No, it doesn't!" - Phinks exclaid as he barely held back the urge to launch himself at Cloud and slowly tear him apart - "They're to bla for all of this because if it weren't for their actions, none of this would have happened!"
"I don't care if that's what you think, not when we've co this far and there's no way to turn back, or co to a truce" - Cloud said as he began to release all his aura.
Phinks and Feitan frowned while Chrollo showed a serious expression.
He could even swear he had heard the roar of a bloodthirsty beast.
"I can feel your growing hatred for us, so any attempt at negotiation, would be an insult to my intellect" - Cloud continued as countless scales, began to appear on his face and arms.
"You are not human" - said Chrollo seriously - "You are a hybrid, or a [Magical Beast]."
"Indeed, I'm not human" - Cloud said as his smile grew slightly, showing that he now had sharp teeth and red pupils shaped like four-pointed stars - "Co on, let's fight to the death."
"Leader, the mont we start the battle, you have to use the montum to escape" - Feitan said because he could feel his body getting heavy from just feeling the dark aura Cloud was releasing.
"Ok" - Chrollo didn't even argue Feitan's proposal because he knew this was the best option.
The spider couldn't survive without its head, but it could regenerate its legs.
Chrollo had decided to escape and co back much stronger so he could take revenge on Cloud and the others.
"Are you ready?" - Cloud asked as he disappeared and reappeared in front of Feitan, who only saw how the silhouette of a huge beast was opening its jaw in his direction.
"Don't even think about it, you bastard!" - Phinks roared as he rotated his arms and threw a firm punch at the silhouette - "Ripper Cyclotron!"
The silhouette went flying full speed into the wall as it created a huge smokescreen.
"And you were saying that I was the one who was inattentive" - Phinks said as he looked at Feitan seriously.
Feitan didn't respond, he just summoned a strange armor on his body while looking in the direction where the silhouette had been sent flying.
Chrollo took the opportunity to escape, but not before wishing his companions luck and hope they made it out alive.
The leader of the [Ghost Brigade], ran at full speed, but when he was at a safe distance, he saw how a silhouette materialized in front of him.
"I never thought you were alive" - said Chrollo neutrally as he saw a face he thought had died - "I guess you were the one who inford them about us in greater detail."
"Guilty as charged on all counts" - replied Hisoka as he shrugged - "I didn't want to do it at first, but Cloud-san is "persuasive"..."
"I know, I also felt his aura, but it's obvious that you sold us out for a fight against " - said Chrollo while squinting his eyes.
"Exactly, I lost my patience after so many months without you agreeing to fight " - said Hisoka with a frown - "And that's why I accepted Cloud-san's proposal, I would tell him everything I knew about you, and he would create a situation where I could fight you."
"I'm surprised that he saw so much into the future" - Chrollo muttered while frowning - "He's a seer?"
"If so, he wouldn't have needed my "confession", don't you think so too, Chrollo?" - Hisoka replied normally.
"You have a point" - nodded Chrollo as he started to think, only to sigh regretfully when he saw that he had been outwitted so easily - "I guess there's no choice but to accept this battle, though this makes think that he doesn't want to let go."
"I wouldn't be surprised if he has created a counterasure in case I'm the one who loses" - replied Hisoka calmly - "But well, we'll worry about that later."
