While Gon and Killua were having their little adventure, Cloud and the others were reaching the outskirts of the farthest town in the area, all thanks to following the trail of missing animals.

"Maybe we should just keep moving anonymously" - Kyoko said with a frown.

"Yeah, we don't know what kind of actions the [Dinsional Will] will take now that we're possibly so close to our prey" - Cloud replied while squinting his eyes.

"Ok, let's continue" - Kyōka said as the three of them covered their faces and calmly walked through the entrance of the town and started looking for clues of their prey.

* * * * *

"Not bad for only a few days" - said the Chira Ant King, now called ruem after reading many books.

"Your power has increased wonderfully, my lord" - replied Neferpitou while wagging her feline tail with a huge smile on her lips.

"I know, I never thought that my power, would increase so fast just by consuming other animals and practicing Nen" - ruem said as he started to think - "Maybe we should find more specialized humans to learn from them."

"I don't think humans are powerful enough to be able their masters, sir" - Shaiapouf said as he frowned - "Those worms don't even deserve to be in your presence"

"Be silent, Shaiapouf" - said ruem neutrally as he frowned - "You may be right about them being weak, but we have much to learn from those worms if we are to conquer them and use them to their fullest potential."

"Conquer them? Use them to their fullest potential?" - Shaiapouf asked with surprise because he did not expect this answer from his king, not with all the disdain he had for this very weak race - "Why?"

"I have managed to read and analyze many human books, and I have to admit that their intellect is interesting" - said ruem calmly as he walked to his seat and picked up a book - "So much information has opened my eyes. I still think humans are a weak and hopeless race, and these history books corroborate my opinion, but at the sa ti the psychology books make think they are much more complex creatures than I thought, although that doesn't an they don't have their own function in my plans for the future."

"Sir, what function other than being livestock for our future troops can those weaklings have?" - Youpi asked as he looked at his king.

"I thought the sa as you, so I don't bla you" - said ruem as he tapped the desk he had gotten thanks to his [Royal Guards] - "But after reading all this, I have discovered that humans have a few peculiarities that make them interesting, like for example, despite being weak, they can gather together to be able to annihilate much stronger creatures thanks to their superior intellect. We have much stronger and capable bodies than humans, but our intellect is similar, or even superior to theirs, that's why we have to start developing more of our wits, and less of our brute strength because this could end up being what causes our downfall."

Shaiapouf frowned, but at the sa ti he had to admit that his king's words made sense. If they continued to move forward without thinking things through better, sooner or later they would end up being discovered by that blond monster.

Neferpitou was happy for what she was seeing, the king was much wiser than she thought at first.

What they didn't know, was that the [Dinsional Will] was slightly influencing ruem's personality in order to make him much more human, with this his next moves could be much safer, more so with that dangerous creature chasing one of his "favorites".

"So, what shall we do now, my king?" - Youpi asked with a frown as he honestly didn't like the idea of having to use his head instead of his muscles.

"First, I want you to bring the smartest n in this place, and I want you to be discreet because I have a feeling that there is danger nearby" - said ruem seriously as the 3 guards nodded firmly.

"I guess this is not a mission for " - said Youpi while Shaiapouf let out a snort of disdain, although he had to admit that his words were true.

"I'll be right back" - Neferpitou said as she disappeared from the place.

"Well?" - ruem asked as he saw how Shaiapouf was still on the spot.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, my lord?" - Shaiapouf asked as he ducked his head.

"Are you saying my decisions are wrong?" - ruem asked neutrally as his tail wagged nacingly - "I hope you're not assuming that I won't kill you just because you're one of my brothers, Shaiapouf?"

"I-it's not that, my lord!" - Shaiapouf exclaid in terror as he wiped the sweat from his brow - "It's just that it's troubling that you're showing so much interest in re humans."

"I'm learning from our origin, Shaiapouf" - said ruem neutrally - "I'm learning from my mother's past, that's why I'm trying to take a much more humane path than simply attacking like animals without control"

Shaiapouf ducked his head a little more because he could feel the king's growing hostility for his words, but he still stood his ground - "But this is counterproductive, my king. You are much stronger than those inferior creatures, you don't need to learn from them, it is they who have to learn from you."

ruem gave his brother a bored look before sitting down to read a book.

Shaiapouf was about to say sothing else, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Slowly, he looked up and saw how Youpi was shaking his head, indicating him to follow him.

ruem gave one last glance at his guards before returning to his reading, only to frown and begin to contemplate his actions.

* * * * *

"Control your emotions, Shaiapouf" - Youpi said with a frown - "I know I don't have the right to tell you this, when I'm the one causing the most chaos because of your lack of control, but you need to clear your thoughts a bit, or you'll end up being killed by the king"

"You should understand, Youpi, this is ridiculous!" - Shaiapouf exclaid with a frown - "Our king shouldn't show this side full of weakness, he should be soone strong, firm and subduing those stupid humans!"

"Ok, I'll let it go this ti, but I recomnd you not to say those things again in front of , or Neferpitou, because things will not end well for you" - Youpi said neutrally - "Listen, Shaiapouf, our mission is to make sure the king is safe and to follow all his instructions, not to question his decisions!"

"I'm doing it for his sake, Youpi!" - Shaiapouf exclaid earnestly as he looked at his brother.

"No, you are doing it for your own good" - replied Youpi with a frown - "Understand, you are not the king's favorite, and if you go on like this, you will end up dead for continuing to question him because he is not like the queen!"

Shaiapouf's expression changed drastically before returning to normal - "I don't know what you're saying."

"Believe it or not, you are the most human of the three of us, not because of your appearance, but because of your actions" - Youpi said neutrally as he looked at his brother - "I can sense what humans call jealousy coming from you, as well as enormous greed"

"I am not human!" - Shaiapouf exclaid with fury though deep inside him, sothing began to tremble in fear - "I don't plan to be either, and the king shouldn't be either!"

Youpi said nothing more, he just attacked his brother with all his might.

Shaiapouf was surprised by this as he quickly raised his guard and blocked the attack, only to fly away because of the huge difference in physical strength.

"That's my last warning, Shaiapouf, don't question our king's decisions, don't insult him either or I will find myself in the painful need to make there be one less [Royal Guard] in the world," said Youpi coldly as his muscles tensed, "Think before you say anything in front of any of us because those might end up being your last words."

Shaiapouf said nothing more, he just retreated into silence as Youpi looked at him neutrally - "I'm sorry you had to see this, my lord."

"No, this is informative" - ruem replied as he stepped out of the shadows - "A similar situation appeared in one of my books, and I have to admit that it is interesting that the one who 'hates' humans the most, is the most human"

"I would say ironic" - Youpi said as he ducked his head as he stood in the presence of his sovereign.

"True, it is ironic, but leaving that aside, I have the concern that this will not be the last similar conversation we will have with Shaiapouf, and I am not soone very patient, so I recomnd you to make the effort to make him see reason, or I will kill him myself" - said ruem as he retreated - "I am only going to spare his life this ti because you asked to, and because still being this connection with him being my brother."
