"Why don't they just give up already?" - Asked a woman with brown skin, red hair and pointed ears. She was wearing so sort of black party dress - "Their efforts are futile, their leader is unconscious, their bodies are on edge, and from what I can see, they have traitors in their ranks."
Shizuku didn't respond, she knew the situation was bad, but she couldn't say it out loud because it would wipe out what little morale her dying party had left. She slowly picked up her katana and narrowed her eyes - "No matter how bad the situation is, there is always a chance to survive."
"And that is the one I am handing you, join us and you can live, don't accept this kindness I am showing you and your lives will end" - Cattleya replied as she narrowed her eyes - "You have the potential to surpass the filthy humans of this world, you can have anything you want, you just have to throw down your weapons and join us."
The heroes who were fighting and were exhausted, looked at each other as they thought about this strange woman's proposal.
Cattleya smiled slightly, but her expression quickly turned serious because if she was honest, those idiots didn't matter that much. What she was looking for, was to subdue the real hero and his group, in other words, Kouki and the others in his group who were leading the other heroes.
"What do you say, child?" - Cattleya asked as she looked at Shizuku, one of her targets to subdue or assassinate.
Shizuku bit her lip as she shook her head.
Cattleya frowned when she saw this as she felt her blood begin to boil.
She didn't like being told "no", more so when her fiancé was one of the most important generals in the demon king's army.
"I don't plan to betray my comrades, much less Kaori" - Shizuku replied as she looked at the enemy group - "My sword will not stop until I die, or I kill all my enemies"
"It's a pity" - Cattleya said as she clicked her tongue - "You had the potential to beco a general, you could have had everything you wished for, but no, you chose to be stupid and live with your fucking shitty pride, well, now because of your stupidity, I have no choice but to kill your whole little group."
The heroes' eyes widened in surprise because they were not expecting this.
So of them were seriously thinking about not submitting to this woman, but now there was no such opportunity. Many of them were furious about this, but they quickly cald down because it was quite possible that the woman wasn't even serious when she said she would spare their lives.
"You lied to us!" - One girl exclaid angrily.
The others looked at her apprehensively because this cry was proof that she was going to betray them, though none could bla her because the vast majority were thinking the sa thing.
"I didn't lie to you, but I'm going to be honest seeing as you are all going to die, you are not needed, we only want the hero and his small group of friends, the others are re bonuses we got in the process."
The heroes felt a firm slap directly impact their faces because this was a clear insult. They knew that they couldn't compare to Kouki and the others, but that didn't an that they would accept this kind of words without doing anything about it.
"Oh? Were you guys bothered by my honest words?" - Cattleya asked disdainfully as she looked with amusent at her victims - "Well, they don't have to worry because the dead don't feel anything ~"
Cattleya said nothing more, she quickly snapped her fingers and all her troops ran against the heroes.
"New attack, everyone get ready to make a new magic bombardnt!" - Shizuku exclaid as she watched the magics shoot out one after another.
The swordswoman, quickly looked to where the general of the enemy army was and prepared to jump, after all, by killing Cattleya, they might have a greater margin of survival.
The battle had resud and Shizuku had ordered her companions to apply what they had learned in history classes. She was using Nobunaga's strategy, create two groups and rotate them so that the magic shots would not leave a chance to get close to their opponents.
Cattleya watched this with irritation because unlike humans, monsters couldn't use much variety of magics, or rather, not all monsters could use magic, and those that could, mostly were abilities that were mixed with lee combat.
"That strategy is annoying, but it's interesting" - Cattleya muttered as she thought about how she would use it in the future in order to defeat the human armies.
"Second group, fire!" - Shizuku exclaid as her companions followed her instructions.
"Yageashi, I don't think we'll last long" - muttered a boy as he wiped his sweat - "We've run out of mana potions."
Shizuku's expression darkened as she watched her companions fall to the ground, exhausted from too much magic use - "lee squad, get ready to move out and attack! We have to take advantage of the terrain of the ruins so we can annihilate as many monsters as we can!"
The lee squadron, roared before walking behind their leader.
Shizuku sighed regretfully before looking in the direction where her other comrades were.
"Yaegashi, if we die, I want you to know that we couldn't have had a better leader" - said a boy as he looked with a pale face at the monsters that were starting to approach now that the mages in their group weren't attacking.
"If we die, I'll just say that it was an honor to fight with you" - Shizuku replied as he felt his hands shaking now that he was in the mont of truth.
"Yaegashi, before we die, I want to tell you that I like you, please go out with " - said another boy as he looked at the [Yamato Nadeshiko].
Shizuku gave him a glance before shaking her head - "I'm sorry, I can't accept your proposal, not when I have soone in my heart, soone I may possibly never see again."
The boy let out a forlorn sigh, but quickly cald down because he knew there was no ti to mope about his heartbreak - "Is it Strife?"
Shizuku nodded weakly as she took a huge breath before calming her heart.
"I see, at least I was able to tell you my feelings before I died" - the boy said as he shook his head.
"Rember, when we go out, I want you to lock the door and don't open it until this battle is over, no matter how much we shout if things end badly" - said Shizuku as she tightened the grip of her katana with all her might and let out a mighty war cry - "Let's go!"
"Hai!" - The heroes exclaid as they followed their current leader.
The mages of the group, quickly ran to the door and closed it as they saw how the mbers of the lee group had exited.
"Good luck" - muttered one boy as he signaled his companions to split up. One group would stay at the entrance to attack anything that tried to enter, and the other would be giving support to Shizuku after resting for a bit - "Why aren't the others coming yet, do they not think about how serious this all is?"
"Possibly, they are trying to escape" - snorted another boy as he looked with disgust at his companions who were taking refuge in the farthest part of the ruins - "I don't understand why we have to sacrifice ourselves for those bastards."
The wizards looked at each other years of getting up with difficulty and walking to safety.
"Stop, do they want to kill us all!" - The first boy exclaid as he looked around.
"Kurono is right, we are sacrificing our lives for a group of bastards who haven't co to help us" - said a girl with tanned skin and blonde hair - "We have been fighting for hours, but no one has co to help us, I wouldn't even be surprised if the others have escaped while we are here, fighting like real heroes".
The morale of the small group of mages was getting lower and lower, but their expressions changed when they heard sothing knocking on their door.
"Impossible, Yaegashi shouldn't have died so soon" - said Nobuo, the boy who had taken command, when he heard the noise outside the ruins.
The mages started to feel a huge panic because the sound of the door was getting louder and louder and more frequent, they could even feel how it was shaking.
"What's going on outside!" - Nobuo shouted as he looked in the direction where the support group was.
"Yaegashi is still fighting those monsters with the other mbers of the lee team!" - exclaid a girl with concern as they watched Shizuku's group, move deeper and deeper into the enemy army - "This is bad, they were surrounded!"
Nobuo was about to say sothing, when he heard the door of the ruins they were using as a fortress, start to move erratically.
"We have to escape!" - Kurono exclaid as the mages started running around like headless chickens.
"What's going on at the entrance!" - Nobuo exclaid as he looked at the support squad.
"There's no one" - replied the other boy as Nobuo remained silent because this was strange.
