"Luna advanced?"
It had been a while since Evan last checked on her. Through the SoulBond he shared with her, he had access to her status screen at any ti, but between everything that had happened over the past month, she had quietly slipped his mind.
That said, he already knew that Luna’s growth in these early stages was far outpacing his own, and for good reason. Unlike him, who had to continuously accumulate ESS through hunting, Luna already carried the power within her. It had been awakening on its own, slowly, as the void corruption spread through her body.
For her, it was only a matter of ti. Seeing her pull ahead of him wasn’t surprising.
But Elite rank already?
That one caught him off guard.
"Heavens, what has that crazy woman been doing all this ti?" he muttered as he imdiately opened Luna’s status screen.

The last ti Evan had seen Luna’s corruption percentage, it had been just past 10%, and even then she had already been D-rank.
Seeing that number skyrocket to 60% in little more than a month ca as a surprise to him.
What exactly had she been doing to make it grow so quickly?
Was it possible that the Soulbond no longer had as much influence over her, and the corruption was beginning to gain control?
"Hey Bruce, should I be worried about this?" he asked, deciding to go straight to the source rather than sit with the assumption.

[The reason her corruption percentage has increased so rapidly is because she is currently undergoing rigorous training in order to fully awaken her bloodline.]
[This has directly influenced the Void Energy within her, which is also growing at a rapid pace. However, there is no risk of her losing control. Her bloodline is awakening, and her control over Void Energy has beco sufficiently high to keep her within a safe range for the ti being.]
As soon as Evan heard those words, he let out a sigh of relief.
But then again, what kind of masochistic training was she undergoing to achieve results like these?
And what about her journey to her parents’ hotown?
Had she found any clues regarding her parents or relatives?
Evan had plenty of questions, but it wasn’t as if he could ask her directly.
As such, he decided to put the matter aside for now.
If she was getting stronger and the void corruption was under control, then that was fine. More than fine, actually, it ant there was one less thing to worry about. At least now the chances of her ending up in serious trouble against a stronger opponent were considerably lower.
She was like him.
Both of them possessed combat power that far exceeded their actual ranks.
If she had been capable of fighting opponents as if rank differences barely existed while she was only in the Early Stage of D-Rank, then she could probably do the sa now.
Perhaps even more.
’Great. First I get left behind by Shadow, and by the ti I catch up, Luna surpasses as well.’
’Guess I’ll have to pick up the pace.’
Evan had never stopped striving to beco stronger, but seeing Luna’s progress made him feel as if he was falling behind.
Of course, his own growth was anything but slow.
In fact, it was absurdly fast.
So fast that even if one of humanity’s greatest talents were compared to him, they would be left eating dust.
Evan had originally intended to head back and get so rest, but after seeing this, he couldn’t help but feel it would be a bit of a waste of ti.
At his current rank, rest was the last thing he needed. He could easily continue for over a week without feeling particularly tired.
As such, he decided not to return and instead resud the hunt.
Now that Ash had reached D-rank, it was ti to bring him up to Shadow’s level.
Both he and Shadow had already reached the peak of the Early Stage, while Ash was the only one left behind.
None of his clones should be weaker than the others.
The stronger they beca, the stronger his overall combat power would be.
With that in mind, he summoned his clones and headed deeper into the forest once more.
The beasts that had breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the three lunatics leave their territory quickly regretted it when they saw them return and unleash another massacre upon the forest.

Morning ca quickly.
Adventurers heading out for their usual hunting routines made their way to the southern forest’s edge and spread out in search of targets, only to co back largely empty-handed. A few F-rank beasts here and there, but anything stronger had seemingly vanished.
"Hey, why can’t I find any E-rank beasts? What’s going on?"
"No idea. I’ve barely scraped together a few F-ranks myself. How am I supposed to finish my mission at this rate?"
"Guys, I think I found sothing. Co look at this."
The other two moved quickly to join their companion.
They were about to ask what he’d found when they saw it, dark stains spread across the forest floor, soaking into the grass in wide patches.
Blood.
But that alone wouldn’t have alard them. Beasts fought each other morning and evening, blood on the ground wasn’t unusual.
What stopped them was the sheer scale of it.
The further they pushed in, the more the stains multiplied. Before long they were finding traces of skirmishes scattered across the terrain, torn earth, broken branches, scorch marks, claw gouges running deep into the bark of nearby trees.
All three of them went quiet.
Not knowing what was happening, they imdiately hurried back to report the matter to the Association.
anwhile, the culprit behind all of this sat calmly in front of Loli Receptionist.
At that mont, she was staring at him with an utterly blank expression.
"Let guess," she said. "You spent the entire night slaughtering everything in the forest, didn’t you."
