Inside the Rocketer base, Moon was making his way toward the exit, heading for one of his targeted destinations where potential S-rank beasts were rumored to lurk in the dangerous wilderness beyond.

Moon's fa around the base had reached almost legendary proportions since his last appearance at the base. He'd beco a legendary figure among the residents—from his early role in saving the base from the A-rank outcast assassin, to becoming one of the few S-rank awakeners to enter and successfully clear the first recorded S-rank gate in human history.

It was a truly remarkable achievent, and everyone understood that Moon was destined for even greater accomplishnts. Nurous recruiters from various smaller factions within the base had tried their luck approaching him, not yet having received word about his recent official affiliation with the Glassy Group.

Moon rejected every single recruitnt offer.

The recruiters didn't dare to persist or beco pushy once he declined—his reputation and power made annoying him a spectacularly poor decision.

At the main gate, the lieutenant had been imdiately inford of Moon's presence and rushed to et him as he approached the exit checkpoint.

"Sir Moon, it's always a pleasure to see you again, on behalf of all humanity, and the millions of lives you saved through your actions, we thank you for your extraordinary contribution in clearing such a dangerous threat." The lieutenant said.

Moon nodded his head, accepting the praise with neither excessive humility nor presumptuous arrogance—simply acknowledging the words as deserved.

"The pleasure is mutual. It's good to see the base thriving and doing well."

Realising that Moon was not in the mood for long talks, the lieutenant continued, becoming slightly more nervous, "S-Sir Moon, the base lord has requested a eting with you. He recently acquired so premium tea with remarkable properties—it calms the mind and strengthens the body's constitution. He would very much like the opportunity to get to know you better over refreshnts."

The lieutenant smiled hopefully, rubbing his hands together in a gesture that betrayed his anxiety about Moon's potential response.

"I appreciate the invitation, but I don't have ti right now," Moon replied without breaking stride. "I have urgent business to attend to. Perhaps another ti when my schedule allows."

"O-Of course! Completely understandable!" the lieutenant said quickly, his pace gradually slowing as he realized Moon wasn't slowing down. "I'll inform the base lord. Have a safe journey, sir!"

"Thank you."

Soon enough, Moon's figure disappeared into the wilderness beyond the base, becoming nothing more than a small dot against the horizon.

After Moon was completely out of sight, one of the gate guards—the sa one who had previously been humiliated by Selene—muttered under his breath to his colleague.

"He's gotten so arrogant since his success. Didn't even have the courtesy to accept the base lord's personal invitation for tea. If it was , I would have accepted it no matter what I had in schedule."

His fellow guard's eyes imdiately widened with alarm, frantically looking around to ensure no one had overheard the man before smacking his companion's arm in panic.

"What are you thinking, saying sothing like that so loudly?! Do you want soone to report us? I don't want to get disciplined by the lieutenant because of your stupidity!" he whispered urgently, still scanning the area nervously. "You can court death if you want, but don't drag down with your reckless comnts!"

The first guard quickly fell silent, realizing that criticizing soone of Moon's status and reputation was indeed an excellent way to find himself without a job or worse.

So people, he was beginning to understand, had earned the right to make their own rules. "Alright, whatever." The man grounded his teeth before focusing on other matters.

Away from any prying eyes or potential witnesses, Moon summoned Mirage from his Beast Taming Space with a thought.

The white hose materialized beside him, shaking his magnificent mane as he adjusted to the change in environnt. Moon vaulted onto his companion's back, preparing for their journey, "Let's go, buddy. We have plenty of important work ahead of us," Moon said warmly, gently rubbing Mirage's neck.

Mirage responded with an enthusiastic neigh before breaking into a powerful gallop toward their intended destination, his hooves striking the ground with power

As they traveled across the wilderness terrain, Moon spotted a secluded cave entrance partially hidden by overgrown plants. He guided Mirage toward it with subtle pressure, recognizing the perfect location for the private task he needed to complete.

Inside the cave's dark interior that was illuminated by the little sun light from the entrance, Moon dismounted and took a steadying breath before retrieving a specific corpse from his storage ring.

The Three-Tailed Illusion Fox materialized on the stone floor, its body still bearing the damage Moon had inflicted during their lethal confrontation. Its once-pristine white coat remained scorched and bloodied, testant to the power of his attacks.

Even in death, the creature's physical body alone radiated an aura of trendous power—as formidable as any physical type S-Rank beast despite having been an illusion specialist rather than a physical combat type.

"Mirage, this is a Supre Creature. Sothing that exists beyond what others precieve entirely. These are what we need to hunt if we want to continue advancing beyond others."

Moon retrieved his B rank dagger [Assassin's Fang] from storage before positioning the blade against the fox's chest cavity.

Whoosh!

Despite Moon's high strength attributes, the dagger struggled to penetrate the creature's supernatural hide. Even in death, the fox's body retained defensive properties that exceeded normal S-rank resilience.

Moon channeled his wind elent around the dagger's edge, sharpening it before attempting another strike.

This ti, the blade punched through the tough exterior and sank deep into the chest cavity.

Working thodically, Moon began cutting through layers of muscle and tissue. The process was laborious—every inch required significant effort to overco the creature's posthumous durability.

Finally, after several minutes of careful dissection, a perfectly spherical object erged in his hands.
