Now reading: Chapter 286 First S-Rank Beast In Crimson Wasteland from SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will, a Game novel by Risaliyah.

Before the Sand Worm could complete its arc and crash back down into the protective sand, Moon was already dashing toward it with renewed determination.

At the sa ti, he channeled his water elent toward the ground beneath the airborne creature, instantly transforming the dry crimson sand into thick, clinging mud across an area covering approximately fifteen ters in diater.

"You can't hide anymore," Moon declared with a huge grin plastering his face.

He'd deliberately waited for the beast to fully commit to its ergence before deploying the water technique, effectively closing off its primary escape route and making any future attempts to burrow significantly more difficult and ti-consuming.

The advantage was now his.

The Sand Worm landed heavily in the muddy trap, its usual fluid movent through sand replaced by awkward struggling against the sticky terrain.

Moon did not wait for the Sand Worm to figure out a solution, pressuring it imdiately, launching himself through the air to land directly on the Sand Worm's massive, writhing body.

Like a nimble monkey climbing a tree, Moon began to climb toward the worm's head.

The creature imdiately sensed the threat and twisted its upper body around with surprising flexibility, bringing its grotesque maw directly toward Moon in a devastating bite attack.

But Moon was ready.

As the horrifying mouth rushed toward him, bristling with hundreds of needle-sharp teeth, Moon reached out with both hands and caught the creature's upper and lower jaws with his bare hands, his grip strength allowing him to actually hold the massive maw open despite the trendous crushing force behind it.

For several seconds, Moon found himself staring directly into the beast's acidic gullet, his arms straining against the incredible pressure as the Sand Worm tried to snap its jaws shut. The stench was overwhelming—a mixture of decay, sulfur, and acid that made his eyes water at such a close proximity.

He realized imdiately that maintaining this position would be catastrophic. The creature's throat was beginning to glow with building chemical reactions as it prepared to regurgitate its digestive acids directly at him.

Seeing the buildup of the poisonous acid and recognizing his inability to overpower the beast through pure physical strength alone, Moon decided to end the confrontation before the situation deteriorated further.

A jagged line of brilliant blue lightning erupted from both of Moon's hands, transferring directly into the Sand Worm's body through the conductive moisture in its mouth and throat.

Lightning reacted violently with the concentrated acids building in the creature's system. The chemical mixture bubbling instantly, causing the acidic fluid to boil and expand rapidly.

CRACK! SIZZLE!

The reaction was explosive. Steam and vaporized acid erupted from the Sand Worm's mouth.

Despite countless droplets of poisonous drops and puffs raining down on him from the beast's mouth, Moon held on, continuing his supply of lightning.

Although Moon was suffering injuries on his skin, the Sand Worm was suffering from more horrible injuries. Its internal organs suffered catastrophic damage as the current coursed through its nervous system while simultaneously cooking it from the inside.

The massive creature convulsed violently for several seconds before going completely limp, its life extinguished by the constant, enormous supply of lightning.

[You have killed the level 25 S-Rank Sand Worm]

[You have gained 1,300 Lives]

Moon released his grip on the dead creature's jaws and stepped back, breathing heavily from the intense exertion but grinning with satisfaction.

Another S-rank beast eliminated, bringing him significantly closer to his evolution requirents.

Staring at the enormous corpse of the Sand Worm that lay motionless before his eyes, Moon realized he would need to slice the Sand Worm into several manageable portions to fit it into his storage ring's available space.

The surface area to volu ratio of the beast was too large for the ring. However, once sliced up, it would fit well into it.

Once the valuable beast was properly processed and stored, Moon mounted Mirage and continued his journey deeper into the Crimson Wasteland region in hopes of finding more S-Rank Beasts.

The red desert stretched endlessly in all directions, vast and spacious with countless unexplored areas that likely harbored S-Rank threats.

Moon felt confident there were more S-rank specins waiting to be discovered in this profitable region.

After several hours of searching across the undulating dunes, Moon found his second target—a massive Black Scorpion with a wickedly curved stinger that shone like stainless steel in the harsh sunlight.

The Black Scorpion was widely regarded as one of the Crimson Wasteland's most lethal creatures. While they were relatively common throughout the desert, the specin before Moon was clearly an S-Rank, significantly larger and more dangerous than its lesser cousins.

These arachnids were notorious for their incredibly tough chitinous scales that could deflect even the strongest weapons, and their razor-sharp stingers that could pierce through even high-quality armor.

Despite these amazing qualities, their physical attributes weren't what made them truly feared among awakeners.

It was their poison.

Once stung, the neurotoxin would spread through a victim's entire nervous system within seconds. The venom caused imdiate blood coagulation, turning the circulatory system into a network of fatal clots while simultaneously shutting the body down. Death typically occurred within ten seconds of injection.

Without an experienced healer present or access to specific antidotes, engaging Black Scorpions was considered suicidal by most awakener teams.

The Black Scorpion turned to face Moon as he approached, the two red orbs in its eye socket following his approach.

Suddenly, a brilliant blue flash crossed its vision. Before it could process what had occurred, it was already dead.

Moon's [Lightning Raiju] had struck, the lightning wolf hitting the scorpion with enough voltage to kill it instantly despite its powerful defence.

[You have killed the level 25 S-Rank Black Scorpion]

[You have gained 1,250 Lives]

"This specin will fetch an excellent price," Moon observed with satisfaction as he began processing the valuable corpse.

"Between the poison sacs, the core, and those pristine scales, I estimate it could sell for around six million dollars."
