Now reading: Chapter 302 Back On Earth from SSS Awakening: I Can Class Change at will, a Game novel by Risaliyah.

In the span of a few minutes, Moon had dealt with the entire group of outcasts. They had provided him with an enormous number of lives—8,000—sothing that he was more than pleased with.

So had tried to run but were ultimately shot down with a single wind blade that tore them in half, and others tried to hide, but were caught by a blast that turned them to ash.

After collecting the loot from awakeners and beasts alike, Moon began making his way toward the portal inside the base.

Human bases were always built around portals. This was to give them the highest chance of survival and safety. It was one of the important reasons why humans flourished so well in the First Sanctuary. Being able to escape when it mattered, and return when it mattered.

After Moon had reclaid the base, those who had escaped could simply return to their normal lives, whether as hunters or workers inside the base. The Glassy Group would also reclaim their territory by either sending soone powerful from another base to take over completely, or by sending one of the earlier residents of the base to temporarily take control until soone powerful ca to take their position.

Of course, amongst the large number of human bases in the First Sanctuary, there were a few outliers that built bases away from portals. Although, most of them were really old bases built hundreds of years ago when humans had just begun exploring the First Sanctuary. These old bases never relocated from their original locations, simply growing in size and building sub-bases around the nearest portals.

Entering the portal inside the Stone Bridge Base, Moon returned to Earth.

Ring-ring!

Kael's number continued to ring, but he wasn't answering at all. A frown ford on Moon's face—it wasn't part of Kael's normal behavior.

'He's either busy, or not on Earth. Probably in the First Sanctuary,' Moon thought, before dialing the second number he had.

Naturally, as a mber of the Glassy Group, he had the contact information of powerful figures. He called one of the administrators of Glassy Group affairs in the First Sanctuary.

Within the first two rings, the person answered. "Hello, may I know who I'm speaking with?"

The person speaking remained respectful in his words, but Moon could tell that he was busy from the urgency in his voice.

"Hello, this is Moon Outlaw. I'll keep this brief. I'm calling you regarding a recent quest I took from Kael Glassy. I was going to report to him about its completion, but it seems like he's busy with so things.

Bastion Base has already been cleared—it's ready for takeover. I've told Kael already about it. And Stone Bridge Base has already been cleared too. Both are ready, so send soone over before sobody tries to claim the base as their own."

The person on the other side of the phone remained silent for a mont. "Right away, thank you for your hard work, Mr. Outlaw. I will make sure to report this imdiately. We will also contact you regarding the rewards at a later date. We are currently being targeted in many places. There are attacks on the Glassy Group's bases in the First and Second Sanctuaries."

Moon frowned at his words. "Do you an that there are more bases being attacked? What about Ironpeak base?"

"Yes, sir. Over the past few hours, we have been receiving constant alarms of new bases that are under attack. Thankfully, once we heard about one of our bases being attacked, we underwent the right procedures and made sure our other forces in various bases are more vigilant. As for Ironpeak base, it's indeed one of the attacked bases, and Young Master Kael is currently fighting there."

'I was right, he is in the First Sanctuary. Although I didn't expect Ironpeak base to be attacked since the first attack had already failed before.'

"Are there other bases being attacked? Or is it only the bases belonging to the Glassy Group?"

"We aren't the only ones, but due to our influence, we are suffering a lot of losses."

"Alright, I won't keep you busy from your work."

After hanging up, Moon began walking toward one of the Glassy Group buildings.

'A planned out campaign of attacks across multiple sanctuaries. This isn't random—soone with significant resources was trying to take over the bases around the sanctuaries.' Moon analyzed as he walked through the busy streets.

Although he was curious about the organization behind these coordinated strikes, Moon wasn't going to waste his entire day speculating about their motives or thods. BOOM!

Suddenly an explosion erupted right before his eyes. The blast occurred approximately half a kiloter away, completely obliterating an entire building in a ball of fire and debris.

Despite the powerful protective runes and reinforced materials used to construct the structure, it was rendered utterly useless against the devastating explosion.

'That's the Awakener's Association building!' Moon thought, his eyes widening in shock as he recognized the distinctive architecture now reduced to smoking rubble. .

Nulls began screaming in terror, fleeing from the explosion site in panic as they feared for their lives. The civilian population had no class or power to protect themselves from whatever was happening. The awakener population split into three distinct factions: one group that charged toward the danger hoping for valuable rewards in the end, another that remained stationary to observe the unfolding situation, and a third that imdiately fled to preserve their lives.

This wasn't the First Sanctuary, where people could re-spawn after death. This was Earth, and death here ant only one thing—True death.

Before Moon's eyes, figures clad in total black armors and mask suddenly appeared. They moved like silent assassins, nimble on their feet, quick with their movents.

When they moved, bodies dropped. Whether it was awakeners, or nulls, both fell by their hands. They left no person in their vicinity alive, cutting down anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path. Ergency sirens wailed continuously, alerting the entire neighborhood to the mortal dangers these unknown attackers represented. Moon frowned as he assessed the situation unfolding before him. Although he would normally want to help and claim potential bounties from such a crisis, Moon had no intention of courting death through reckless heroics.

He had already identified several Evolvers among the attacking force. And, as an Awakener, he had absolutely no business engaging Evolvers in direct combat.

It would be suicide.

Moon imdiately turned and began moving in the opposite direction, running away from the combat zone as quickly as his body allowed. Lightning crackled around his feet as he tried to take from the battlefield.

Before Moon could get anywhere far from the battlefield, a figure suddenly landed several ters in front of him, blocking his escape route entirely. CRACK!

The impact of their landing shattered the pavent, causing spiderweb fractures to spread across the street. "Where do you think you are going?" The figure chuckled nacingly behind the dark mask he wore to hide his identity.

'That's an…Evolver.'

Moon did not respond to the man, imdiately looking around for anything that could help him. But all he could see was fleeing civilians that paid him no attention, thankful that he was delaying the man.

Everyone was running for their lives.
