Moon's body finally relaxed at the sight of the notification.

"We did it... finally." He dropped to the floor, unable to stand any longer.

Although the fight had been short, it had taken every ounce of energy from his body. His stamina and mana were both nearly drained completely.

Mirage neighed beside him, collapsing near his partner in exhaustion. His hooves were scratched up and swollen. Blood covered them, a mix of his own and the turtle's.

"Yes, buddy. It's finally done." Moon laughed to his heart's content, the stress of a battle of life and death finally escaping his body.

Although he was excited to check out the super lives he had gained, Moon controlled himself from doing so just yet. His eyes turned toward the crater where the turtle's shell remained. Moon stood up and made his way over.

Mirage rose alongside him, following his master to the crater.

Moon slid down the slope and arrived at the bottom, standing next to the massive shell. He placed his hand on it and stored it in his storage ring.

The shell vanished from the crater, leaving behind an egg-shaped indent on the floor where it had sat.

"It's really here," Moon muttered, his eyes glinting.

In the center of the indent sat the egg. The turtle had left the egg inside the only thing it can trust…its shell. When it realised the shell was breaking under Moon's attacks, it decided to finally react, paranoid that its egg would be affected.

It had taken a gamble that Moon would be rash in sending many attacks at once, leaving him vulnerable for a mont. Unfortunately for it, Moon did not do that, he left the [Lighting Raiju] as a wild card, always ready for the surprise attack he had expected.

"The egg of a Supre creature." Moon reached his hand toward it, then stopped himself halfway.

He didn't want anything to go wrong. The losses simply couldn't be quantified. If anything happened to the egg because of his touch, Moon wouldn't know where to cry. This was perhaps a once in a life ti event. Where else would he find the egg of a supre creature waiting for him to be claid?

Just thinking about how this turtle could possibly grow to beco a creature like the Golden Fish made him shudder in excitent.

Moon sat down on the floor and pulled out a collection of materials from his storage ring. Then he cast his [Rune Inscription] skill and began crafting containnt runes to secure the egg. There was a small turtle inside it, alive, which ant his storage ring couldn't hold it. He would have to carry it with him.

After he finished inscribing the safety runes, Moon moved on to creating aura-concealing runes. He was going to have this egg on his person at all tis, and without sothing to suppress its aura, it would attract attention he couldn't afford.

"These runes won't be enough to stop powerful people from probing if they really wanted to." Moon muttered as he activated both sets of runes on the egg. "I need to speak to Selene about it. With her brother's strength and his team, they could provide with concealing runes strong enough to hide it properly."

He placed the egg carefully inside a large bag. It was almost half a ter in size, so nothing smaller would do.

After securing the egg, Moon returned to the turtle's body.

"Mirage, are you ready to enjoy so good turtle at? Based on how chunky this thing is, it's going to taste a lot better than that Three Tailed Fox."

Moon smiled at Mirage's attempt at communication. He drew his sword and began cutting through the turtle's body, carving it into large portions and storing most of it in his storage ring. He left around five kilos of at out and dropped it into his cauldron.

He lit a fire and set the at to cook on high heat. The flesh of a Supre creature wasn't easy to prepare after all, it was tough and needed powerful flas to cook. Moon seasoned it with the spices he kept in his storage ring for exactly these occasions, and waited.

In the anti, Moon finally decided to check his status. He had been delaying it on purpose. He wanted everything else handled first so he could give this mont his full, undivided attention.

[ Na: Moon ] [ Race: Human ] [ Class: Classless, Trickster] [ Level: 25 ][Awaiting Evolution] [ Lives: 112,628 ] [Super Lives: 10] [ Strength: 48 ] [ Agility: 48 ] [ Constitution: 55 ] [ Mana: 82 ] ( 5 to all stats) [ Attribute Points: 0] [ Skills: Elental Attack, Advanced Elental Body, Tenacity, Golden Skin, Ignite, Dagger Arts, Rune Inscription, Appraisal, Lightning Raiju, Calmness, Beastmaster, Minor nd, Purify, Stone Clasp, Heaviness, Air Step, Piercing Sword, Bird dance, Bullseye, Archery, Spear Arts, Feint[Limited Ti]] [ Talent: Grim Reaper ] [ Class Skill: Class Slot {1/1} ]

Moon stared at his status screen, his heart thumping so loud he could practically hear it in his ears.

"Finally... I have ten super lives."

His smile reached the corners of his face.

Ten Super Lives. That was enough to evolve any one of his Epic-Rank skills to Legendary Rank. The mysterious tier that nobody in the sanctuaries seed to have ever heard of, let alone reached.

The tier that had required him to risk his life over and over again against Supre Rank beasts to even approach. Without his Grim Reaper talent, Moon didn't dare think about how impossible that would have been. The fox, the turtle, they were terrifying monsters in their own right. Even a group of ten S-Rank Awakeners, the absolute cream of the crop, would struggle to take down a single one. And even if they sohow managed it, they would walk away with one or two super lives at best. Nothing close to ten.

Moon looked over his skill list carefully.

"Advanced Elental Body, Tenacity, Rune Inscription, Appraisal, Lightning Raiju, Purify, and Bird Dance." He muttered his options aloud, counting them off one by one. Seven Epic-Rank skills eligible for evolution.

They were all powerful in their own right. Each one had saved his life at least once. But Moon understood the importance of this decision better than anyone else.

This was likely his first and only chance at a Legendary-Rank skill in the First Sanctuary.

He couldn't afford to choose wrong.

Even if he was able to stay in the first sanctuary, that didn't an he had the ti to do so. It had taken him a long ti to find the turtle, and there was no guarantee he could find another two supre rank beasts to kill.

"Ti to choose…"
