"Tch. Another insect with an interesting bloodline? Wait, you have a divine lineage! You can beco my next perfect candidate!"

All the venom and hatred in the cold voice shockingly disappeared, and now only curiosity remained. The next mont, the man’s figure completely disappeared from the chamber he was in, and unexpectedly, he appeared right in front of Aurora.

The air twisted violently around the figure as La Rocha fully manifested, no longer a projection of voice and energy, but a presence, solid, looming, and hideously elegant in a simple suit which was anything but simple. His green eyes, previously mocking, now glead with a disturbing fascination as he looked at Aurora.

"He is nothing. Trash," he said casually, gesturing toward Damon’s writhing figure in the heart of the storm. "But you... you are sothing else entirely. I can feel the divinity in your blood. Tell , who are you, girl?"

Aurora didn’t answer. Her hair, now silver-white, danced like threads of light, her steps unyielding as she continued walking toward Damon. Each step left burning sigils on the ground, resisting the pressure that had flayed even Mark.

La Rocha tilted his head. "I asked you a question."

This ti, Aurora paused and then smiled coldly. "I’m the one who kills you."

Without warning, she exploded forward. Her palm glowed with divine light, and she struck La Rocha square in the chest. The impact rang like a thunderclap as La Rocha shuddered, and the next mont his entire avatar broke into fragnts.

But the very next second, cold laughter rang out as another avatar started quickly forming the sa spot, the violent mana storm knitting him back. "Excellent. Marvelous! Your future is limitless. Yield and beco my candidate priestess. I will give you a chance to stand at the top of this multiverse!"

"You see," he continued, brushing nonexistent dust off his pristine suit, "you cannot destroy so easily. This entire fortress is my vessel. My will. My eternity. Even if you shatter my shell a thousand tis, I will return a thousand and one."

What did he an? Who is he? Aurora narrowed her eyes. Her expression didn’t change, but the glow in her palm intensified, divine light twisting into sharp arcs along her wrist. She took another step forward.

"Oh?" La Rocha smirked, intrigued. "Going to strike again, little goddess? Do it. Show what makes your bloodline shine."

Aurora’s gaze remained fixed on La Rocha, but the next attack from her was not an attack at all. Instead, her aim was to send a bolt of healing buff to Damon to sohow help him. However, the man’s eyes imdiately caught it and made the whole thing useless.

"You insolent little bitch!"

He only raised his finger, and Aurora’s divine shields snapped one after another. Her body was then flung outside exactly like Mark’s. She crashed into the wall with a thunderous boom.

La Rocha lowered his hand, eyes narrowing with pure disdain. "Why are you clinging to a broken mongrel like him? It’s no worry. I can purify you from all your unnecessary thoughts right here and now." The man walked over to Aurora as she weakly tried to get up and fight back.

Kate moved to stand between him and Aurora, trying to get at least a mont for her, but it was completely useless. The guy simply whacked her out of the way like she was nothing. Only 1% of her health remained, and she could no longer move.

La Rocha smirked and raised his hand again, fingers twisting into a cruel arcane gesture. "Let end this charade. All three of you are interesting little puppets, and you can serve well. Now forget who you are."

With that, he began to cast sothing, but suddenly he stopped. He sensed a disturbance behind him and turned to see if the insect had finally died.

However, right at this mont, his face froze, slowly contorting into a mixture of rage and shock. His violent mana storm suddenly had a new bright and shiny dot. It started as a dot but it quickly beca a raging vortex.

Crimson tendrils spiraled outward like the petals of a demonic flower blooming at the center of the maelstrom. The mana storm, once wild and uncontrollable, now bent inward, being devoured, consud... subjugated.

At the eye of that storm sat Damon.

Or what was left of him.

Half of his body had already broken down and evaporated but the remaining half of his body was slowly rebuilding.

Blood stread from his eyes, but instead of weakening him, it surged upward, forming a crown of crimson above his head. His entire body radiated the pressure of a newborn star.

"You are finally here," Damon said quietly, his voice deeper, layered, like sothing ancient was speaking through him. "You shouldn’t have touched them."

The green-eyed man took an involuntary step back.

This wasn’t the sa insect he had mocked minutes ago. No, this was sothing else. Sothing that should not exist. A convergence of forbidden divinity and blood-born monstrosity.

"You.. this is impossible." La Rocha’s tone cracked, the arrogance splintering. "You should have been torn apart! You should be dead!"

"I was," Damon answered, raising his hand. A spear of condensed blood-mana, pulsing like a cursed sun, ford in his grasp.

"I got better." The spear in Damon’s hand pulsed once and the entire fortress shuddered.

Pipes groaned. Lights flickered. La Rocha’s eyes widened as layers of enchantnts he had inscribed across the facility trembled like brittle glass under the force of Damon’s presence.

This wasn’t so last gasp of power. This insect had control over his mana?

"Enough!" La Rocha roared, panic finally bleeding into his voice. "You think this changes anything? I AM LA ROCHA! This is my world! My domain! You are nothing but a bug that learned a trick!"

Damon grinned. Blood Reign no longer blocked anything as his entire aura was unleashed for all to see. La Rocha could feel the full brunt of it. All sorts of expressions flickered on the man’s face as he finally caught a glimpse of the real being hidden in the carapace of the insect.
