Robert didn’t even glance at Sylvara. His gaze remained locked on Damon, the smile on his face twisting into sothing colder.
"You think I care about so temporary alliance with a bloodsucker? I don’t know what happened here and how you all got here, but I saw these blood spheres first. It doesn’t matter what the contents of the sphere are. They sure as hell won’t be handed to a stray like him."
Damon’s smirk vanished.
Azuna, who had just finished pulling on the mismatched gear Damon gave her, suddenly stood taller. The air around her changed, becoming denser. She stepped slightly in front of Damon, barefoot and glowing faintly gold and brown, her gaze never once leaving Robert.
"You insult Master," she said, her voice clear now, like the ringing of a temple bell. "You insult ."
Robert raised his trident, but before he could respond, a ripple of golden brown light flared from Azuna’s body.
Robert’s trident suddenly dimd. He staggered a step, stunned. The next second before he could do anything at all, rocks started erupting from deep under the frozen lands, and they surrounded him on all sides like a prison.
The sa thing happened with every single person who had assembled there. One second they were standing outside, and the next second they were encased in jagged, earthen pillars that jutted violently from beneath the ice.
Robert’s face turned unsightly. "They are just fucking rocks. Break out of them!" He shouted as he banged his trident against the rocky walls. The sa powerful shockwave erupted once again, but this ti it barely left a scratch on the rocky wall. Clearly, they were not surrounded by simple rocks.
His trident barely left a scratch. Sparks flew uselessly, and a deep thunk echoed each ti the weapon struck, as if he were hamring against a powerful weapon.
Azuna smiled. The faint glow around her had deepened into a soft, earthen gold, veins of molten bronze flickering under her skin. She lifted one hand, and the rocks around Robert twisted, tightening with groaning pressure, the trident in his grip clanging to the frozen floor of his makeshift prison.
Robert gasped as the pressure around him intensified. His arms trembled, not from cold, but from the sheer elental force bearing down on him.
anwhile, Azuna simply stepped back beside Damon and bowed her head. "Master, I have taken care of the pests."
Damon nodded in amusent. What was going on here? Whatever it was, he was quickly becoming a huge fan of the world spirit. Seeing that Damon was pleased, Azuna’s smile widened.
"Master, may I take us soplace else where our ritual will not be interrupted and we can bind together in peace?"
Damon’s eyes widened at those ambiguous words. What are you talking about, woman? Why are you saying as if this were so sort of mating ritual? Wait. Was it really? Not that he minded sothing like that. It was all for becoming more powerful after all.
Behind him, he could feel the stare of many pairs of eyes on him. So he quickly cleared his throat and changed the subject. "Azuna, do you an to say you are able to teleport and my friends sowhere else?"
"Yes, Master. I can do that for you." Azuna gave a sweet smile, which ford small dimples.
Damon smiled in return. "Ok then. I’m afraid I have to trouble you once again."
The easier option would be to kill everyone right here and now and just get the ritual over with in the sa spot, but he still owed sothing to Artimius, so he did not want to do sothing unnecessarily.
"You can release them after we leave." He added and then gave Sylvara a nod. Sylvara could only smile bitterly in return. The next second, small glowing teleportation circles started appearing under everyone’s feet one after another.
Mark, Kate, Aurora, and even Sylvara had one, but Sylvara already understood Damon’s intentions, and she herself stepped out of the teleportation circle, shaking her head. "I have intruded on you too much already. Good luck with your ritual." She smiled and said, even though the bitterness in his voice was abundantly clear.
Damon did not push her. For the Ice Queen, her clan would co first. Today and probably always. There was nothing wrong with that. "No hard feelings." Damon waved goodbye, and the next second, the group disappeared.
Sylvara silently watched as all of them vanished in the blink of an eye. The green-haired woman was truly not soone simple. As it is, she had already witnessed Damon’s power firsthand, she could only imagine how powerful he was going to grow in the future. She let out a sigh as she turned her attention to the other mbers of her clan.
The rocks around them had already started to fall out, many of them free to leave. Sylvara decided to apologize to them on Damon’s behalf. It was only Robert and ndoza who were out of line, and there was no need to punish everyone.
But then again, who was going to reason with the truly strong and powerful? Damon could do whatever Damon pleased, and there would be no one to question him. Only the weak had to be understanding and forgiving.
Besides, these people had co for their aid when they needed them the most. So she did not want to treat them badly.
"I am really sorry. Please accept my apology on behalf of Blood God. That man always acts rashly." She smiled softly, though there was so sadness in her eyes. "And thank you, everyone, for coming to our aid despite the overwhelming odds against us."
Nevin hurriedly tried to speak up, but before he could say anything, Robert coldly snorted. "You fucking bitch! Stop with all of your nonsense. Why are you all of a sudden acting like a saint now? Didn’t just stand there when your fucking blood hound took all of our treasures and that woman just like that? What are you opening your mouth now for?"
