The training room was silent, the stone walls lined with faintly glowing runes that pulsed with ambient mana. Damon rolled the saliva across his palm, eyes narrowing as he channeled his will into it.
He had first noticed his control over it when he was fighting that kid Necro God. He seed to have so control over his loogi just like how he had control over his blood. It had sothing to do with using poison elent or the poison essence.
He wasn’t all that familiar with the elent and first activated all of his recent poison skills to get a feel for it. A faint green haze shimred across his palm as [Toxic Breath] stirred to life, acrid fus curling between his fingers. He then used Poison Burst, Decay, and all his skills one after the other.
At first, he thought that this would be difficult and might even take more ti, making it impossible for him to use all of this in ti, but he was pleasantly surprised. Maybe because of his poison body, he was able to get an intuitive feel for it pretty quickly.
He then called for Erin and chatted with her a bit about it. Training together with her also improved his progress by leaps and bounds. At the end of the day, there was only so much he could achieve in a closed room.
He opened up a Blood Gate again, and this ti, he opened up a portal to a place he was familiar with in his last life. The poison mountains. It was a place filled with all sorts of poisonous beasts and was pretty much impossible to survive in.
In his last life, there were several rumors going around about this place. So claid there was a legendary weapon hidden here. So claid there was so sort of inheritance here. All sorts of treasures were rumored to be buried here just because no one had actually explored this place. Not even the super ten guild.
The entire place was pretty much a big pain in the ass. It was bathed in perpetual mists of noxious fus, and there were deadly, poisonous beasts at every step. Only alchemists occasionally stepped inside these mountains to try their luck at getting so strong poison sacs, which went for a pretty buck if converted into deadly poison.
However, even those alchemists only wandered on the outskirts, not daring to actually traverse the mountains. It was basically a suicide wish to co here.
However, Damon’s situation at the mont was very unique. In fact, as soon as he had obtained the Nine Million Poison Body technique, this was the first place that ca to his mind. He had wanted to co here to try and complete the second cycle of the technique.
But now he simply made this trip sooner to get so training in. What better place to improve his poison abilities than these mountains right here?
The Blood Gate yawned open with a ripple, and Damon stepped through. Erin quickly followed behind him, not wanting to be left behind this ti. Imdiately, a burst of fresh air assaulted them.
Erin was quite shocked. "My lord, this is very different from my domain."
Damon laughed. "Ya. It is."
Even though everything around here was poisonous, the lands were still fertile in their own twisted way. The entire place was covered in lush greenery.
Trees with bark as black as charcoal grew tall and crooked, their leaves dripping with corrosive dew. The soil pulsed with life, veins of greenish mist rising from cracks like the mountain itself was breathing. Flowers blood in colors so vivid they looked unreal. Each one was extrely beautiful yet reeking of death.
Damon inhaled deeply, letting the toxins seep into his lungs. His body thrumd in response, the Nine Million Poison Body eagerly drinking in the venomous air like a thirsty man at a spring. "Perfect," he muttered, crimson eyes flashing. "This whole mountain range is a natural poison furnace."
A mont later, a group of snakes slithered out of the ground and surrounded the two of them. Their eyes were erald in color, and they were all around level 80 to boot, pretty high-leveled for the outer regions.
Damon grinned. This was what he was here for. However, he did not attack them imdiately. He allowed them to attack first and tried to observe everything about them. He tried to sense how they used the poison elent.
He didn’t move to strike, instead letting one snake dart forward. Its jaw gaped unnaturally wide, fangs dripping with a viscous green liquid that hissed when it hit the soil. Damon felt the poison essence sharpen at the exact mont of the strike, condensing into more potent venom before the bite even landed. He nodded in understanding, very seriously taking ntal notes.
A level 80 snake was quite intelligent. It was not a mindless beast. Seeing Damon’s reaction, the snake beca very enraged. The human was looking down on it. It bit down on Damon rcilessly, doubling back and making its venom even more potent.
But the next mont, its erald eyes went wide. Its fangs had drawn blood, and ironically, the one who had gotten poisoned was not the human but itself? The snake did not understand what happened. It felt its essence depleted as it dropped dead on the ground.
At the other side, Damon smiled. Just from the first encounter, he was able to grasp a lot. Coming to this place was the right decision after all.
The entire ga was currently in shutdown mode, and he still had about ten hours to sohow make this work. When the world was open again, he would finally make his move. It would be ti to et his good old friend once again, this ti up close and personal.
Damon closed his eyes and cald himself down. His blood boiled with rage and excitent, but he knew he needed to stay calm and collected. To deal with a bastard like Aiden and beat him at his own ga, he needed to be extrely careful.
