Damon and the other C rank Blood Generals could only watch in utter shock and horror as the five inside the cages soon beca black statues. For a breath they stood there, smoking in those gold cages. Then they cracked. Ash fell out through the bars. Health bars went flat. Nas grayed out.
It was a clear warning for anyone who had any ideas on stealing the Legendary item.
Damon let out a breath and then snapped out of it. They could always find a way to deal with that guy later. For now, there were several other powerful fighters they needed to address. Otherwise, their city would be razed to ground within seconds.
"Attack that man only from a distance! Do not go close to him!" Damon’s voice bood across the battlefield. The other Blood Generals already got the hint and Damon did not have to tell them twice.
As per the earlier instructions, three of them grouped together and started going after C rank paladins and knights scattered in the armies and rushing forward towards the city gates along with their troops.
A small group of stealth shadow elent vampires rushed ahead to deal with the priests and the other main healers in the army. Damon hid himself amidst this group and charged ahead.
Ahead, a priest cluster stood in a half circle, staves linked, gold light pouring into the front line. Two shadows peeled off. A thin needle of blood flickered from Damon’s fingertip and struck the lead priest’s throat accurately.
The next second his vision turned white, and black veins appeared on his body. The rest of the group beca alert and all of them poured their combined efforts to heal the lead priest but it was of no use.
Their strategy of keeping themselves alive by healing and protecting each other failed in front of Damon’s vicious poison and with the circle broken, the two other vampires took care of the rest of them.
Damon and the group continued to move forward to find other target. Damon did not really stick to a particular area or to a specific target, he was simply running rampant on the battleground, unleashing poison needles in everywhich direction.
Three C rank paladins locked onto him and chased after him but he was impossible to pin down. They tried all sorts of tricks, chains of light, gravity nails, sun shackles, but he slipped each one.
He blinked left with [Spirit Step], skimd a spear tip, and slid under a shield. A paladin slamd a glowing seal into the ground; the air grabbed at Damon’s legs. He cut the seal with one claw and kept moving. Another paladin hurled a net of gold. Damon ripped apart the whole net with his bare hands and dashed ahead.
Blood essence flowed into him endlessly wherever he moved. There were other vampires also consuming blood essence from the battlefield, even the big shot powerhouse Blood Generals but the amount of essence Damon sucked in was insane.
He was a greedy goblin who single-handedly took almost 90% of all the essence from the battleground. He was like a red storm with thick blood essence shooting towards him as he carved a path of carnage in the battlefield.
There was simply no point in him even maintaining stealth any longer. The blood storm showed the exact position he was in and Damon did not care. Like one man army he killed his way through the battlefield until he headed straight for his favorite beasts, the divine steeds.
"I missed you guys!" Damon laughed at the sight of the big juicy elephants who always gave him a huge bump in stats. Then he started another round of massacre.
On the side, Ellora, Kaelthorn, Mark and Kate were equally busy racking up their kill counts.
Ellora finally showed everyone that she was not rely a pretty face with a sinful body. She spared no effort as she straight away took care of two C rank paladins, sending a barrage of condensed blood bullets that packed quite a punch.
The two C rank paladins ignored the bullets thinking they were rely ordinary attacks but they failed to notice the runes carved on the bullets. Ellora snapped her finers and her runes activated. One bullet montarily stunned the target while the other bullet left him in a confused state.
Ellora perfectly used this opportunity to follow up her attack with a few more blood bullets, these ones containing pure dominant power which drained their health to oblivion before they could recover from their stupor.
Blood circles appeared underneath many other weaker holy light warriors, slamming all of them with Blood lightning and Blood spikes.
Damon had given her a few skill books she had lacked and with that, her power had instantly spiked as she ended up upgrading so of her skills. The result was clearly visible on the battlefield.
On the side, Kate also unleashed a barrage of attacks. Though her skill level was not comparable to Ellora, a C rank Blood Expert, she had an abundance of stats to make up for that expertise.
Her blood spheres and blood bombs hit like bricks and quickly put down many in the battlefield. She didn’t aim fancy. She threw a lot. Pure stats did the rest. Lines that would have held broke under the weight of her attacks.
While the two won pulled their weight, even they had to admit that Mark and Kaelthorn were absolutely brilliant on the battlefield, a notch above the rest.
Kaelthorn had already managed to recover quite a bit and was not as weak as before. He was almost back to his peak condition and he even returned to being a Blood Expert on the verge of breaking through to Blood General.
His blademaster skills were second to none as he fought the way only a blademaster could. He had a greatsword in one hand, axe on his back, swapping between them without breaking stride.
He opened with the sword. [Blood Cleave]. He swung his sword down and a wave of blood energy erupted, killing everyone along the line.
