Everyone on the battlefield right now was using the 300% buff to fight to their heart’s content and to take the opponent out. Naturally, it was never going to last the full 30 seconds. It was probably only going to last 10 more seconds before so sort of counterattack popped out, and nullified it.
Damon cursed his bad luck that he was being forced to miss such an insane buff. But the good news was that Blood Reign’s upgrade and anything that could possibly improve her abilities was a lot more valuable.
"Fuck it. I will do it. Let’s eat that bastard’s weapon and get you back in shape." Damon grinned, madness in his eyes, and dove back into the battlefield he had just fled. He did not have to search for long to get face to face with the red-robed guy.
He pretended to slip back into the battlefield and target a high-profile C rank priest when the red robed guy appeared once again in front of him with a devious grin in his eyes. "Do you think that it is so easy to shake off?"
Damon sneered inwardly. "I hope not." He then sent a ntal ssage to Blood Reign. "What exactly do you need from ? Do I have to touch the weapon or sothing?"
"No. Just the proximity is enough. I can do the rest of the work."
Damon nodded. He gritted his teeth, acting extrely annoyed and tried targeting the priest again and again, ignoring the red robed man. The spark and his shadow clone were once again at his side playing their parts in the show. In between he tried attacking the red robed figure a couple of tis so that he wouldn’t get any doubts.
Soon, the insane buff ran out and Damon managed to kill a few priests and paladins in the distance. At the sa ti, he also managed to absorb a ridiculous amount of blood essence, upgrading a few of his divine and holy skills.
At the sa ti, he also managed to keep the red-robed figure engaged. He was multi-tasking this battlefield like a pro and the war overall seed to be at a stalemate at the mont. Everything was going smoothly.
However, things started to change pretty quickly. Damon already knew it was impossible for everything to carry on like this and the tipping point arrived soon enough. First, it was the red-robed man.
While blocking and parrying with Damon as usual, wearing that smug confident smile on his face, all of a sudden his gaze suspiciously shifted to the dagger in his hand as if he could feel that sothing was wrong.
Damon knew that his real work began now. He couldn’t hold back anymore. He had to sohow keep the red robed man completely occupied so that he did not have any attention left to spare to pay attention to the dagger.
But how to do this was the question? His current skills were simply not a match for this man.
Fire, lightning, shadow, blood and poison. He had already revealed a lot of his skill set and it was impossible to match to this person’s expertise. He couldn’t simply overwhelm him with his stats or his power.
Damon could clearly feel the sting of his lack of techniques. In front of a true master like that red-robed man, he simply paled in comparison despite having so many advantages.
He did not like it. He needed more combat training and more techniques. He needed to figure out how to use his vast repertoire of skills efficiently. He should not fight like before, he needed to fight like the new him.
Damon did the only thing he could do in this situation. He did not want to do this unless he was pushed to his limits but he had a feeling that it was going to happen all on its own in a matter of days anyways.
He gritted his teeth, focussed inward and loosed the fifth seal completely, letting the whole thing crash and fall. The next second, his mana core surged with renewed power.
His mana capacity exploded, almost instantly doubling. A mana vortex ford around Damon as he sucked in more and more blood essence and mana around him.
The red robed man’s eyes widened in shock. "A forbidden skill?" He gasped as he braced himself. The man looked shocked but Damon was even more shocked. Did the guy just talk about forbidden skills?
Damon had heard this term before in his last life. Forbidden skills were told to have explosive power which gave a player the power to deal with people even one whole tier above them. But it was always debunked as a rumor but now seeing this guy say the sa term, he had a feeling maybe it was not as simple as that.
Leaving that matter aside, Damon beca serious. He had broken the fifth seal and his monstrous primordial mana core now only had barely four seals holding it. He could also tell that these four seals have beco weaker.
Breaking each seal had made the rest of the seals considerably weaker. It was now only a matter of ti before his ticking ti bomb blasted yet again. He really needed to make this fight count and grab this victory.
"Blood Reign! You need to hurry up!" Damon gave a ntal command and unleashed the most powerful skill in his arsenal. It was a new skill he had picked up from Hinata’s family market. [Blood Tempest]
It was almost a domain skill that arrested a target in place. Only almost but not quite. However, the key point was that this skill had the ability to absorb blood essence from the surroundings and strengthen itself. So the more the blood essence, the stronger the skill output.
And in a place like this battlefield, this skill was made to rule!
Even as the red-robed man prepared himself, he completely did not expect the vicious circle of red storm that surrounded him on all sides. The wind whipped and the blood roared. Power raged all around him, making the red robed man falter for the first ti since the fight began.
