The mont Damon set foot on the sand, a wave of poisonous miasma instantly hit him. To his surprise, he was actually affected by it. His health even instantaneously dropped by 50%. This might make others imdiately fret, but it only made Damon smile wider.
"What a surprise! If I had known, I would have co to this place sooner!" He took a deep breath, inhaling more and more miasma as his blood quickly got to work.

Notifications continuously chid in one after the other as his Nine Million Poison Body quickly started assimilating the poison all around. Damon stood there for a few minutes to allow his body suck in everything, as much as it could and for his poison resistance and poison consitution to slowly grow.
At the sa ti, he contacted Mark, Kate, Erin and Lirae through the blood bond and made sure everything was going smoothly on their side. Mark did not respond which was probably because he was still working through his bloodline activation. Everybody else did.
Kate also confird that Mark was indeed activating his bloodline and there was no signs of disturbance in the Blood Hall. Erin confird the sa thing.
Damon only sneered at this response. He was pretty sure that this wouldn’t last for long. With the many big shots from Crimson Mountain landing in Niera city, how could things possibly continue to run smoothly?
He would be an idiot to expect sothing like that. The temporary peace wouldn’t last long. He really did not have much ti. He needed to pump up his power level and fast.
On Lirae’s side as well, everything seed to be going surprisingly well. Erelion was apparently treating her very politely and did not force her to do anything, even ask details about Damon. The elf was only interested in talking about their childhood together back in the elven lands which Lirae did not rember much of.
Lirae had no idea what the elf wanted from her but Damon had a pretty good idea. The elf was probably betrothed to her or had a thing for her since their childhood. Unfortunately, the poor guy was never going to get the girl in both the tilines.
In his last life ti, Lirae was already dead and Erelion had beco a killing machine, potentially because of that and in this life ti, Damon had co between the both of them. Not that he regretted it.
As a man if he loved his woman, then he should have never left her all alone with the humans. Damon chuckled lightly thinking it was a bit hypocritical of him to think like this but the situation was as such.
He wanted to power up at least a bit before paying a visit to the elves and the poison order seed a thod to do that. Who knew this bit of power could an the difference between life and death in the elven lands.
Besides, he still had no clue what Erelion was doing here in the desert. Surely, the elven base couldn’t be in the desert, right? He expected the elf to go again on the run any second now and before that he wanted to absorb at least the strength of the poison order.
As for the Emperor’s n and their pre-arranged eting, he was still deciding what to do about that. Damon thought about it for a bit and then decided to let it play out as things went. All the plans were fluid right now because of Lirae’s situation and he needed to make instantaneous decisions.
Damon could try right now to imdiately teleport to Lirae and retrieve her without letting her get all the way to the elven lands but he had a feeling that he would be walking straight into a trap that might cost both their lives. He did not want to make that move without at least one more card in his pocket.
But things would be different once Lirae was in the elven lands. Especially if she was locked up in so prison. He could easily teleport to her and retrieve her. This was the only advantage he had and he wanted to use when they would least expect it. Not when Erelion could be waiting for him with an elaborate trap set up.
The elves were known for their kind and gentle nature and he doubted if they would ever harm her even if they found out that she had changed a little.
There was also sothing else he wanted to confirm. So far, Lirae hadn’t transford much because of his blood. She did not beco a full blown vampire for sure. Sothing about her was different and Lirae confird that she still had her nature powers intact.
Damon frowned. There were too variables in motion. He took a deep breath inhaling all the poisonous miasma around him. The feeling was calm and nourishing. It made his mind think clearer.
Perhaps he was overthinking everything? Perhaps he needed to introduce a new player in this whole cat and mouse ga? Soone Erelion would never expect?
Damon continued inhaling all the miasma around him as a new plan started forming in his brain. The poisonous desert winds of the Dune began to swirl unnaturally, responding to Damon’s presence.
At first, it was subtle with only a few strands being sucked into his body but in a matter of seconds, a vortex started forming around him.
And just like that the very poisonous miasma that defines the area, the characteristic feature of the Dune of graves was slowly disappearing.
