"Hmmm? This is interesting." Damon rubbed his chin in amusent.
As if answering his question, the woman spat again. "Hmph! Don’t think for a second that I would agree to beco your slave. I am rely signing this because I want to watch you die and wither with my own eyes."
Damon’s grin widened. "Oh?"
"That thing is going to destroy this entire continent and this whole world. Do you really think that you are going to survive?"
He continued grinning and took a step closer. He then unceremoniously clutched her neck and lifted her up like a chicken. The woman thrashed around as Damon sank his fangs into her neck.
Warm blood filled with poison flowed into his mouth, and the taste wasn’t all that bad. It looked like he was indeed correct. The woman did have so sort of constitution. He took a few seconds to drink the blood, more than what he needed to remove the poison, and then tossed her on the ground.
"I usually do this more cleanly, but I really don’t like mouthy bitches! Now shut up and watch the show." With a smile, he charged right into the thick of the battle. As he did, he sent out a blast of mana into his right arm.
The veins in Damon’s arm bulged as mana fused with the blood and poison flowing in his body, intertwining like three serpents. The three powers condensed together, and for a mont, it looked like his arm was going to explode, but the next mont, a thick glowing vein appeared in his arm instead.
The woman, who was now lucid enough to pick herself up and sit up, stared at this scene with absolute shock. Just who the hell was this madman? Not only did he remove every single trace of venom from her body, but he also opened a freaking ridian in this kind of atmosphere? Like it was nothing?
Not to ntion, the ridian he opened glowed brightly. So brightly that even she could see it from here. This was the sign of a perfect golden ridian!
A perfect golden ridian! Sothing that she had only read about in ancient records and bard songs. Her chest heaved up and down as she gaped in shock, unable to believe that such a shocking phenonon was happening right in front of her.
Damon, on the other hand, was absolutely enjoying the power up. From the beginning, his bloodline talent had always been a tease, throwing at him more obstacles than anything else. But now that he had finally sowhat freed himself from one of those many shackles, he could feel his power surging limitlessly, and he was thoroughly enjoying every mont of it.
Golden sigils flared across his skin, crawling up from his arm toward his chest, linking together in an intricate web. Each one burned with mana, a network of perfect circulation channels forming in real ti.
Damon flexed his fingers once, and the ground beneath him cracked open like an eggshell. "One down," he muttered. "How about we open a few more while I warm up?"
The woman could only stare, trembling. The golden glow reflected in her pupils, and for the first ti in her life, she forgot to breathe. "He... he’s creating ridians mid-battle..." she whispered hoarsely. "Who is this bloodsucker?"
Damon did not bother with her anymore and shifted his attention to the big humongous monstrosity in the spotlight. The broodmother was currently being bombarded with all sorts of attacks, the four others lasting a little better than the woman but the fight was not really going anywhere.
And it looked like things were about to take a turn for the worse since half the eyes of the broodmother that were lazily drooping were starting to open up one after the other.
"The taming attempt is wearing off! We need to back away!" Right on ti, one of the guys shouted.
"Did you call him yet? What is the heaven’s son’s order?"
Damon’s ears perked up as soon as he heard that na. "Don’t tell ... could it be..."
He wanted to know more details but this was definitely not the ti for it. In a single shake, the broodmother was now completely awake and she sent out a wave of poisonous miasma that made the four Beast Lords retreat in top speed.
Not that it mattered. Even though they managed to get away in ti, poison still entered their body and started wreaking havoc from top to bottom.
Damon offered them the sa choice he had offered the woman but surprisingly, his system contract did not go through. This only confird his suspicions. Soone had already bound with these people.
Just like he thought, one of the n shouted at him sothing indignantly and imdiately took out so sort of antidote and chugged down. He was still clearly poisoned but his state wasn’t all that bad as the woman.
"Well, whatever." Damon shrugged. It did not matter. He could always take care of these minor details later. First things first. He needed to deal with this ugly ass huge thing.
He dashed forward, venomous blood tendrils shooting out of him. Each tendril then turned into an arrow that flew straight towards the many eyes of the broodmother, leaving behind a sizzling wake of poison mist.
The broodmother let out a deafening, bone-rattling shriek, her wings thrashing as several of her eyes burst open under the barrage. Viscous erald blood rained down like molten acid, corroding the dunes below into pits of glowing sludge.
But Damon didn’t stop. He spread his arms wide, his aura expanding in a shockwave. "You like poison? Let’s see whose poison is stronger."
He slamd both palms together, and the world darkened as a wave of intense toxic miasma burst outward from his body.
The broodmother’s thousand eyes widened in rage and fear. Her mandibles clicked furiously as she vomited a torrent of viridian flas, a beam of concentrated venom.
The two forces collided midair.
