Damon looked at the woman, who was the only one who had actually signed a contract with him. Not so surprisingly, she did not seem that indignant anymore. In fact, she was quick to bow her head and pay her respects.
"Master, congratulations on defeating the broodmother."
"Thanks." Damon chuckled. He was never one to hold petty grudges, so he didn’t care too much about the attitude change. The woman was practical at least, which only increased her value.
"Well, if there isn’t anything else. We should be making a move now. There is sowhere we need to be." Damon spoke to her and then started activating a Blood Gate to the Dune of Graves.
"Wait, vampire!" One of the others called out hurriedly after Damon. The man then quickly changed his tone and the way he addressed Damon.
"Master, please forgive my insolence. I wish that..." He paused and then looked at the others. "We wish that you would accept us as well as your followers."
Damon’s interest was piqued. "Oh? And here I thought all of you were too proud to bow your heads to a ’bloodsucker.’ What changed?"
The man who had spoken swallowed hard. His earlier arrogance was nowhere to be found. Behind him, the remaining Beast Lords exchanged uneasy glances, but none of them dared to speak.
The devastation around them told the story well enough. The broodmother was dead. Their armies, wiped out. What more could they possibly do here? They would only be open and vulnerable for others to slaughter them.
In fact, if this man wanted, he could easily finish them all off right this second. There was no point in pretending anymore.
The man lowered his head. "We were wrong. We should have never doubted your prowess."
Damon did not bother to discuss this matter anymore. It looked like they wanted the sa chance he had offered the Venom Sigil, and he had no problem in giving it to them. Niera City could always use their Beast Taming skills. In fact, if they could again repeat what they had created here, it would be even better.
Damon sent the sa slave contracts to everyone in front of him. "For now, I am only offering this contract, but if you show potential, then I am willing to upgrade the contract to a follower contract that would include a lot more benefits." He added curtly.
He was bringing in a lot of new people to Niera City at the sa ti. This could be dangerous in certain ways. He really did not have the ti at the mont to deal with backstabbing and spies and such, and this was the simplest and crudest way to rule out all such nonsense.
"What is your na, by the way?" He asked the woman.
The woman quickly straightened her back and bowed slightly, her long dark hair falling over her shoulder as she replied. "Xira, Master. Xira Vel’nar."
"Xira, huh?" Damon repeated. "You would be serving as the temporary leader. I assu you are capable of dealing with the various duties?"
"Yes, Master." Xira obediently replied.
"Good then. You can all co with . You will be setting up a new base in Niera City. If more tars want to join, they are welco, but they are all required to sign equally strict system contracts. You will be responsible for anyone joining under you."
Xira nodded.
"One more thing. Do you know who is responsible for creating that Broodmother?"
Xira’s face imdiately turned apologetic. "I am sorry, Master. I am not completely sure, as I was not included in the affairs, but I do know that soone called the Heaven’s son contributed to the process. From what I gather, he delivered an elixir that allowed the Broodmother to mutate and evolve to this extent. Forgive my incompetence, Master."
Damon nodded. "Don’t worry about." He was pretty sure sooner or later they were bound to cross paths, so there was no need to think about it too much. If he was not wrong, then it was probably one of the super ten guild mbers.
Soon, the Blood Gate opened, and Damon stepped into the portal along with everyone else. He then sent out a word, and everyone in the Venom Sigil also hurriedly finished their preparations. A few minutes later, a group of a hundred n stood in front of Damon, ready to depart with him.
Damon was a little surprised. He did not expect the final number to co to a hundred. These were also not normal people. They were extrely talented NPCs, and now they were all under his wing. Moreover, they were also aware that he was a vampire, unlike the blacksmiths. This was a huge boost to his power in Niera City.
"Alright. Let’s go." Damon smiled. He then opened up another Blood Gate, this one straight to Niera City Blood Hall.
Before he stepped in, he hesitated slightly. He was actually supposed to et with the princess and the Emperor’s n a while back, but... h. Plans had changed, and they shouldn’t have any problem waiting for so more ti. Damon did not care too much and walked into the Blood Hall.
Ellora was already up and about and was the first one to greet him. "My Lord..." She bowed and waited for his orders. Damon quickly filled her in on the details.
Ellora listened quietly, her crimson eyes flickering as she processed everything Damon said. When he finished, she cast a glance over the crowd of newcors filling the Blood Hall. Poison masters, poison alchemists, poison-touched tars, venom mages, and beast-bonded warriors.
"My Lord..." Ellora’s eyes widened in shock and awe at the sheer number of C-rank experts among the crowd.
Damon patted her and addressed the crowd. "From this mont on, the Venom Sigil Order and the Beast Lords Order fall under my banner. Your strength, your poisons, your beasts, all of it belongs here now. Go, spread your wings, wreak havoc, and rain terror on the light faction continent and make proud."
