The kitten hopped into his hands and imdiately flopped on her back, demanding belly rubs.
Damon indulged her. "Yes yes, my fluffy queen. Papa loves you. Papa will give you the best life. Papa will- owww- okay, not the claws, little demon."
Damon was a little surprised that the tiny claws actually hurt. His skin was after all extrely tough and a little furball like this shouldn’t be able to do anything. Even high-tier monsters couldn’t pierce his defenses so casually.
The kitten purred louder, rubbing her face into his palm in apology.
"It’s okay. It’s okay. Papa will power up soon and then you can scratch up to your heart’s content." Damon chuckled and rubbed her belly so more before he decided to get back to work again. But suddenly a parchnt appeared in his hands.
"Hmmm?"
ow. The kitten proudly poked the parchnt with her claw.
"Did you bring this for ?" Damon picked up the parchnt and almost instantly his eyes widened in shock. The parchnt had that unmistakeable orange golden glow to it. It was a legendary grade item!
"Fuck! Baby, where did you get this from?" He quickly opened it up to take a look. It was actually a blueprint!
A blueprint for a legendary grade dagger!
Damon’s eyebrows shot up so fast they nearly left his skull. A legendary-grade dagger blueprint? He stared at the parchnt. He stared at the kitten.
The kitten puffed up proudly. "ow."
"...Baby," Damon said slowly, "did you just loot a legendary item?"
The kitten nodded casually.
"You looted a legendary item. A legendary blueprint. From where? Who dropped this? What did you kill behind my back? Was there a boss? A hidden treasure? A-"
The kitten tapped the parchnt again with her claw. As if saying Papa, stop asking dumb questions and just accept the gift.
Damon inhaled deeply. "Okay. Okay. Papa understands. You’re amazing. That’s the answer. Got it." He let out a sigh and examined the blueprint first.

The dagger was simply amazing, true to its legendary classification. "This... this is a damn masterpiece," Damon breathed, unable to stop the slow grin stretching across his face. If he could collect everything it demanded and he absolutely would, the weapon would beco one of his main trump cards.
"Now that I think about it, I already have so stuff. Abyssal Core fragnt and embersteel. I only need the mythril. It should be sowhere in this world."
The kitten rubbed her head against his chin, purring. Damon nuzzled the little thing and then proceeded to explore the mountains so more. Maybe all the beasts were guarding this legendary blueprint? Perhaps there was sothing more?
The problem was that the world was simply huge. If he tad so of the shadow beasts, it would be easier for him to look around. The Third ntioned that there were all sorts of treasures casually tossed around in this world.
He had picked up his Dinsional Seed in exactly one such encounter. So there was definitely payout here if he looked around and explored the world thoroughly, he just needed to be smart about it.
That bloody damn witch killed all of his abyss hounds. So he currently had no pets except for the kitten and she was a little different from a tad beast.
Damon did not have to search for long before he ca across a pack of shadow wolves. He sensed them before he saw them, sleek, predatory shapes gliding through the darkness. Their eyes shimred like cold athyst shards, their bodies half-substantial, half-shadow, each step silent yet filled with murderous intent.
A mont later, they materialized fully atop a jagged ridge, twenty or so of them, all watching him, ready to strike.
The kitten on his shoulder lifted her head and hissed, a tiny, adorable hiss that sohow carried enough weight to make the wolves flinch.
Damon smirked. My baby’s got presence. "Alright," He murmured. "Let’s try this." He activated [Ta Beast]. He was fully prepared to fail because everyti he had used this skill he had only failed in the first attempt. He also knew that [Ta Beast] was notorious for failing if he did not use the power of friendship and what not.
But this ti, on attempt number 1, an unexpected notification flashed in front of him.
[Ding! Level 135 Shadow Wolf (Elite) has submitted to you. Shadow Wolf (Elite) is now your tad beast. Do you wish to na your pet?]
[Ding! Level 195 Shadow Wolf (Alpha) has submitted to you. Shadow Wolf (Alpha) is now your tad beast. Do you wish to na your pet?]
[Ding! Level 150 Shadow Wolf (Elite) has submitted to you. Shadow Wolf (Elite) is now your tad beast. Do you wish to na your pet?]
...
...
...
"...huh?" Damon froze. He looked at the wolves and every single one of them had their heads lowered. Even the alpha, an enormous, jagged-furred monster pressed its shadowy snout to the ground in submission.
"What the hell is this...? Maybe because my shadow affinity is now almost A rank level?"
