Damon's eyes flashed open in anger. He was fine ignoring the annoying woman, but he would never allow her to talk to his won in this way. However, before he could react, a pair of black hands appeared around Georgina's neck. "You might be my sister-in-law, but she is my sister. You need to watch your mouth and how you speak and treat others. You have no idea what is going on around you. You didn't complain when you enjoyed Damon's special benefits and all the gold coins he gave you. But now that there is a little inconvenience, your tongue is wagging?"
Georgina struggled, and Aurora imdiately let her go. "If I catch you talking shit about my husband or anyone else in our family again…" Aurora smiled, but she had those sort of crazy eyes which made Georgina imdiately shut up. Aurora then turned to Damon's mom and imdiately apologized. "I am sorry, mother. I did not an to step out of line and speak so rudely in front of you."
Damon's mother stood frozen, nodding with a strange expression on her face. She did have so doubts about the many won circling around Damon, but she never actually thought that they would all be living together in so sort of understanding.
She felt a headache coming. What were the youngsters up to these days? She looked at her son, and Damon imdiately turned to look in another direction with an innocent face. His mother's lips twitched. So much had happened, and this son of hers had kept her completely in the dark!
Thankfully, Damon's father stepped in to help him. "Let's not ddle with the younger generation's affairs. Aurora, can you bring back sothing good for your mother to cook after your training?" He smiled.
Aurora's deadly expression evaporated instantly, replaced by a bright, wholeso smile that could have fooled the heavens. "Of course, Father!" she chirped, as if she hadn't just threatened to strangle soone ten seconds ago. "I'll bring back sothing tasty and exotic! Maybe sothing with lots of legs! Or eyes! Or both!"
Both parents laughed awkwardly at the response. "Thank you, dear." Damon's father finally said.
Seeing Aurora becoming very close with Damon's parents, Kate as well did not stay quiet. "I will also bring you sothing good, mother." She quickly added.
Damon's mother once again laughed awkwardly and nodded.
Then there was Lirae. Perhaps because her appearance was different, she felt a lot more intimidating and formal. "Please bless , mother and father. I will also bring adequate tribute."
Damon's mother blinked rapidly. Tribute? Bless ? She wasn't sure whether to feel honored, confused, or mildly terrified. Damon's father, on the other hand, nodded with the serene acceptance of a man who had long ago surrendered his sanity to his children's life choices.
"Ah… yes. Tribute is fine," he said gently, like he was speaking to a wild animal he didn't want to startle.
Lirae bowed her head with the solemnity of a priestess receiving a divine decree. "I will not disappoint."
Georgina, still rubbing her neck, stared at the three won in disbelief. Was she the only one who saw how insane all of this was? John patted her shoulder with dead eyes, silently begging her to stop talking forever.
anwhile, Aurora had already sidled up next to Damon, clinging to his arm like nothing had happened. "Hubby," she whispered proudly, "Mother and Father like ."
Damon's lips twitched. "You nearly killed my sister-in-law."
Aurora blinked innocently. "Only a little."
Kate nodded gravely beside her. "It was justified."
Lirae added, "Weak mortals often misunderstand their betters."
Damon didn't particularly care about it. He would have done the sa thing. His only concern was for his niece and it sucked that such words had to be exchanged in front of a little girl. Also... his parents... His mother finally recovered enough to speak. "Damon, you… You didn't tell us…" She waved vaguely at the girls. "All of this."
Damon looked away again. "It didn't co up."
His mother's eye twitched.
Before she could press further, Damon's father smoothly stepped in once more. "Alright, everyone. The wilderness is dangerous. Focus on the training and co back safely."
Lirae stepped forward again, bowing once more. "I shall ensure your superiority is reflected in every hunt, Mother. Father."
Her expression was so serious that it made the whole situation even more awkward. Damon's mother forced a smile. "Y-yes, dear. Thank you."
His father gave Damon a very subtle look… Son… why are all your won like this? Damon pretended not to see it.
"Training ti, everyone! Let's go beat up monsters before dinner!" Aurora clapped her hands and then, taking Kate and Lirae along with her, she left the area.
After the trio, Ellora, Kaelthorn, and Mallana, left for their training, dragging along with them a very reluctant Riven. "My talents will be better served standing guard for my Lord…" Riven tried his best, but his pleas were completely ignored.
After them, Sylvara, Nevin, and the three blacksmiths left together. Sylvara was familiar with them, and it looked like the old ghost had asked the three blacksmiths to work on their combat skills at the mont as a break from their routine training. So they joined in as well.
With everyone leaving one after the other, the area finally quieted down. Blood Wraith took this chance to finally approach Damon. "Big bro, you are so busy these days!" He chuckled and walked over.
Damon smiled bitterly.
"Bro, you were simply aweso shutting down those cities all by yourself. That was a badass move. How is your poison so deadly? Bro, can you give so pointers? How can I make myself strong like you? The way you simply dominate everything is just so heroic! Bro, can I also join Blood Domain. I still light faction but I can-"
Phoenix promptly closed her brother's mouth with her hand and dragged him away. "Sorry about my idiot brother. We will head out together."
Damon nodded. He then looked at ira, who was quietly standing by herself, and suggested. "Do you also want to go along with them?"
