They were lines and tallies and symbols that were incomprehensible, and White’s jaw fell when he noticed they covered every part of the cave.

His hand reached for the runic watch on his wrist, and he tapped twice on it, activating the recording cara.

He couldn’t decipher the runes, so he couldn’t understand them, leaving him to simply record every single one of the symbols.

The entire exercise took about an hour before he finished.

When he was done, he confird it by sending everything straight out toward Commander Zoltan, as he had been instructed.

He waited for thirty minutes more before he felt a green beep from his watch.

That was the confirmation that they had received the information.

"My mission here is complete..."

White mused to himself.

"Ti to return."

With the simulation broken, the old exit that had disappeared had reappeared once more, allowing him to easily step out.

Yet the second he took three steps outside—

VROOOOM!

The air shook heavily as White snapped to the side.

He found a blazing bone spear piercing forth precisely at his neck, the sight of it making his eyes widen in shock.

It was fast... too fast.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!

The sound of the weapon tearing through flesh echoed out as White was blown off his feet, only to be impaled through his right shoulder onto a mountain fifty ters away.

VROOOOM!

The air shook once more as a second bone spear ripped through the air, heading straight for White’s neck for a second ti.

This ti he reacted quickly.

His hand reached out, tearing the bone spear from his shoulder before slamming it out toward the approaching bone spear.

Both were destroyed as White fell down toward the ground.

Inches away from impact, his hands suddenly reached out, digging into the mountain wall and bringing him to a stop, and less than a second after that, another bone spear pierced where he should have fallen.

He landed on the ground after, picking up the bone spear and staring into the distance.

There, about a hundred ters away on a higher mountain platform, was a Berserker.

It was a different Berserker who, even through the bony armour, had a leaner physique that made White guess she was probably a female Berserker.

Behind her was an army of about a hundred Berserkers, each of them holding a spear which they passed to her.

"That’s quite a precise throw."

White said out loud as she grabbed another bone spear from the hands of a Berserker and raised it high behind her head, preparing to throw.

Around the bone spear, a milky aura appeared, turning the air around the weapon even sharper.

Once she did that, White snapped his neck and shoulders before lowering to the ground.

VROOOOM!

The air shook heavily, and in that mont White beca a blur of speed that also raced forward.

Spear after spear ca flying toward him, yet he dodged with unnatural precision, each spear shifting away from him inches before impact.

Jumping off the cliffside, his fist slamd onto the waterfall’s rock face, and he continued his blitzing charge.

About two dozen spears were thrown, with only slight cuts appearing on White.

Four spears pierced toward him, and he grabbed two, using one to slam into the falling two and destroy them.

With the last one, he blasted forward with even more speed, appearing thirty ters high above the crowd of Supernaturals before his hand yanked back and he flung the spear down.

VROOOOM!

BOOOOOOOM!

The edge of the mountain was split into pieces as the spear landed on it, sending cracks running through the mountain’s length.

About twenty Berserkers were blown high into the air from the shockwave, only to end up disappearing into the waterfall beneath.

The rest, who had moved back, quivered in fear looking at White, who landed on the ground, his hand twisting at his right shoulder which had dislocated from the force he had put into the throw.

"You... Invader!"

The clear feminine voice confird things, though White still raised an eyebrow at the words.

"You invaded our territory, and killed my husband!"

She shouted furiously, grabbing another spear.

She didn’t try to throw this ti, only holding it in her hands in a tight grip.

White froze for a second at her words before he scoffed.

"Invaded our territory!?"

"Didn’t you bloody Supernaturals take that sa territory from the Humans?"

"This is what you started!"

White said, and in the next mont he blasted forward.

She shot forward in return, stabbing the spear outward in rage.

It skipped by White as he dodged with a tilt of his head before his elbow slamd out.

She sneaked her spear back, managing to block, but the weapon cracked into pieces.

She stretched her hand to the side to grab another spear, only for the ten Berserkers around her to be reduced to bloody pulp as a massive wing-like blade burst out, cutting the Berserkers into slices.

The sight of her family dying led her to grit her teeth as she picked up a spear from the ground and rushed toward White, whose wings repeatedly cleaved out, slaughtering dozens upon dozens of Berserkers while dodging every one of her spear attacks.

BOOOOOOOM!

One spear attack of hers managed to escape his perception, tearing through his right chest and ripping out of his back.

The force of it sent him dragging backward for about ten ters before coming to a stop on all fours.

She tried to follow after, pressing her win, only to pause when she looked around her.

They were dead.

All over her feet were the corpses of her own, all sliced into pieces.

"Why?"

She cried, her voice becoming shrill as her knees collapsed onto the ground.

"You’ve killed them all."

What was she to fight for when every one of them was dead?

SPLATTER!

Black blood splattered out of White’s chest as he drew out the spear and walked toward her.

He could see her teary eyes through the bone mask on her face, but there was no pity in his eyes.

"If you miss their death so much..."

He said, then passed the spear to her.

"Join them."
