One of them shouted out to him in both anger and confusion as the rest had their eyes narrowed.

They had all thought Draugr was losing his mind, yet here he was.

Quietly, White’s hand behind his back slowly unfolded, his claws extending as he pointed a finger precisely at him.

"I want his life... Draugr’s life."

He replied, and in that mont, lightning flashed in the sky as the full power of twelve Cosmic Rank beings burst through the air.

White watched as they beca elental halos, rippling with so much power that space fractured around them from their collective aura.

"Then you’d better be willing to take it over our dead bodies!"

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A pillar of scorching lightning blasted onto White with incredible power, slamming head-on into him and blowing apart the lighthouse he stood on.

It crashed into the ground along with him, and in that mont, silence reigned.

"Tsk, so much for wanting his life. Dude couldn’t even dodge Jiro’s lightning attack."

One of them said with a click of his tongue, but then,

STEP!

STEP!

STEP!

The sound of footsteps resounded, and attention instantly turned to the collapsed lighthouse.

Then, from the depths, he erged, the one who had taken a full lightning attack head-on.

His upper uniform had been burned to ash, but there wasn’t the slightest mark on his skin as he stepped through the explosion.

"Draugr."

White called out, as two massive dark wings, each about ten ters long, ripped out from White’s back.

"Try to follow my movent."

He said, and in the next mont, he disappeared.

"Where did he...?"

The words froze in Jiro’s throat as he suddenly found the horned man before him.

"Lightning Burst!"

He roared out as a powerful storm of lightning burst from his being.

CLASSSP!

The sound of a hand clapping rang out, and all of the lightning ca to a freezing stop.

White’s hands easily ripped through them, landing on Jiro’s head from behind.

Ti itself seed to freeze as White turned to look at Draugr, whose eyes were slowly widening, and in that mont, he exerted strength in his hands, jerking them upward.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!

The sound of tearing rang out like a deafening clap of thunder as White ripped out Jiro’s head straight from his body.

His body fell from the sky and landed with a helpless thump on the ground.

Silence crept in as eyes turned from Jiro back to White, who still held the young man’s head, whose eyes still held confusion, as if he never even knew what ca upon him.

"He... he killed Jiro?"

"DIEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

A female shouted in anger, powerful purple light coalescing in her hands, forming a massive sword which she raised high as she shot forward toward White, but she had yet to bring it down when,

RIIIIIIP!

The sound of flesh tearing echoed once more as White appeared behind her, his claws having torn right through her back.

CRAAACK!

BURRRRRRRSSSST!

Blood splashed through the air as her entire spine was ripped straight out of her body, her form folding unnaturally.

Her corpse slamd into the ground, only for her spine to land beside her as White let go of it

"ATTACK TOGETHER!"

"KILL HIM!"

They roared out, various attacks blasting toward White, but how could they compare to him?

They were all barely at the early stage of the Cosmic Rank, facing a being who had fought a Primordial Wolf Emissary and murdered it with pure brute force.

White ripped them apart, literally.

Ripping out their hands, tearing out their spines with violent jerks, grabbing both arms, and splitting them into two.

It wasn’t a fight at all, nor was it even close to one.

It was a simple, senseless, ruthless massacre, and he did it without so much as a change in expression.

When he descended to the ground, there were only four people left alive out of the eleven that had stood there at the beginning.

Those four stood by Draugr’s side.

Three n and a woman, and they whimpered in fear and shock at the chaos around them.

All of a sudden, they turned and fled into the distance.

All that remained was Draugr, who had been forced to his knees by fear and despair.

They had all been slaughtered.

They weren’t just a simple group.

Many of those slaughtered were his people, his friends, from the very beginning of his life in the UEF as a recruit.

They were what made him continue to live, to see each day through, and now they were dead.

Dead at the hands of this monster, who slowly lowered himself to one knee before him.

"Why?"

Draugr forced out, red blood slowly dripping from his eyes as all emotion drained from his face.

"What have they ever done to you to deserve it?"

"What have I ever done?"

VROOOOOM!

The clouds in the sky began to part from all directions as massive fighter jets flew forward, all shining light onto the scene below.

They could see it, the senseless massacre on the ground, and moved to stop him, until,

"EVERYONE STOP!"

The roar rang out through the world as every single fighter jet ca to a halt.

A gigantic mothership appeared in the sky, bearing an unmistakable emblem—

The emblem of Humanity Ascension.

But it wasn’t alone.

Five more appeared in the background.

And then they stepped out.

A total of five people who made every officer’s eyes widen in shock.

They recognized them.

"Supre Commanders...!"

They were the highest authority of power on Earth, the Supre Commanders of Humanity Ascension.

"Everyone, hold it!"

They ordered, and the world ca to a pause.

Then their eyes turned to what was happening below, absolute silence crawling across the world, and it allowed them to hear it.

To hear his words.

_______________

The chaos above was nonexistent to White and Draugr.

White’s claw moved, lifting Draugr’s jaw so he could look into his eyes.

"You don’t understand, do you?"

He asked with a smile.

But then Draugr froze, noticing sothing at the corner of his eyes.

Tears, not white, but pitch black... similar to his.

There were tears of pain.

"How could you know... It’s only ant to happen nine and a half years from now, after all."
