When White had first seen Galaxy Altherion, he had instantly been able to tell the man was Galaxy-ranked simply due to the divine aura around him.
Important to note was that Awakeners mostly remained in their basic forms, restraining their aura at all tis.
Yet the first sight of him had been awe-inspiring, but now that he was fully releasing his true form, it was unlike anything White had ever witnessed.
STEP!
STEP!
The sound of footsteps echoed out as White watched one of the three Umbrawyrs, the one with the katana, step out, coming to stand just a step past White.
"Witness, my Prince, a power that makes even him undeserving."
The Umbrawyr claid, and following after, the entirety of the void began to shake.
The golden light that had flooded space recoiled instantly as the darkness of the Void twisted into a heavy spiral, drawn not toward him, but toward the sheathed sword resting at his side.
He lowered himself, his head almost touching his feet as his white hair flapped wildly around him.
There was no extravagant, awe-inspiring aura from him, just a sword that had turned into a sinkhole of darkness.
"Astral Guard Light!"
Galaxy Altherion’s divine voice echoed out as a massive runic symbol of pure golden light appeared before him, its center gathering with piercing radiance.
It gathered to a level that caused black holes to appear simply from its power, only for even the black holes themselves to be forcibly dissipated by the golden piercing light.
"Point Ending Pierce!"
Galaxy Altherion finished, and then,
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!
It was the loudest and heaviest sound of space being torn apart that White had ever heard, and his eyes widened as a massive pillar of golden light ripped toward them with great destructive force.
White’s heart sank just watching the light visibly pierce forward, while the Umbrawyr stood beside him, the light naturally headed toward him as well.
But then, all at once, the words pierced through the noise.
"For the awe of my Prince."
SHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!
That sound was sharper than the sharpest of blades, drowning away every single sound that existed within the Void.
And when the three-ter-long katana was pulled free, White witnessed the entire world co to an unexplainable crawl.
It was like ti itself had been forced to stop beneath the aura of the blade, while the katana itself never slowed down for even a mont.
The Umbrawyr slashed out once, a simple horizontal strike that released a crescent ray of dark light rippling quietly toward the approaching golden beam.
When both were connected, there was no explosion at all.
Instead, they all witnessed the dark crescent beam rip through the golden light like a knife through butter.
It didn’t rely split the pillar of light into two smooth halves. Everywhere the crescent wave passed, the golden light was transford into darkness and absorbed, making the attack even faster and sharper.
’The darkness... it absorbed the light to grow stronger.’
It might have taken longer to describe, but the crescent beam had already fully cut through the entire pillar of golden light in less than a fraction of a second, appearing before Galaxy Altherion with even greater power than before.
The Galaxy-ranked expert couldn’t believe his eyes.
Not only had his attack, a force that scarcely anyone on Earth could withstand, been utterly overpowered, but even his Light Elent, regarded as the most unique among all Light Elental users on Earth, had been consud entirely by the crescent wave of darkness.
Imdiately, he shifted back, raising his right arm as he shouted,
"Astral Guard Light: End Shield!"
A massive golden shield appeared instantly, but the beam of darkness struck it even faster than an instant, sending cracks across its entire surface.
BAAAAAAAAAANG!
Barely a second later, the entire shield was ripped apart, and the crescent beam cleaved through Galaxy Altherion.
Faintly, there was a flicker of blue lightning, and suddenly Galaxy Altherion’s image faded into motes of light.
They all turned sharply toward the side, where a figure transford into a phantom of blue lightning had appeared.
It was none other than Llumino, and in his hands was Galaxy Altherion himself, who currently had a single diagonal line carved across his torso.
Golden motes of light shone from the wound, yet around the cut, one could still see traces of inky black darkness lingering over it, slowing down the regeneration.
CLINK!
The sound of the katana being returned to its sheath echoed out as the Umbrawyr rose upright once more.
The winner of the exchange was clear.
Even with Llumino’s quick interference saving Galaxy Altherion, the Galaxy-ranked expert had still been wounded.
"Do you see now, my Prince?"
The four-ard Umbrawyr said as he stepped forward, pausing just behind White.
"They’re unworthy."
He replied, and while the words had sounded arrogant the first ti, now none of them could deny them.
Galaxy Altherion wasn’t just strong; he was one of the ten strongest Galaxy-ranked experts on Earth, and yet a single strike from one of the Umbrawyrs had been enough to wound him.
But White was already thinking farther ahead.
’They won’t survive.’
He realized quietly.
What if all three of them unleashed their strongest powers and faced the squad at once?
Llumino might be able to survive due to his insane speed, and Galaxy Altherion might at least be able to escape.
But there was no doubt that Phinx and Callisto, still inside the jet, would be destroyed instantly.
Even with them being six against three in this fight, they were still the weaker side.
Then a gleam crossed through White’s eyes as he made his decision.
"Is that all you want? To have co with you?"
He asked.
"Bringing you back is what we have been tasked with, my Prince."
The four-ard Umbrawyr replied.
"Very well then,"
"WHITE!"
Llumino called out in disbelief.
"Isn’t it obvious they have you mistaken for the wrong person? You’re not one of these monsters."
Galaxy Altherion added, but then White grinned.
"Or am I?"
The second he spoke, a nauseatingly dark aura spread outward as the eyes of the Astral Guard Squad widened.
It was an instantaneous transformation.
Shadows spiraled out from White, forming garnts of pure darkness around him.
His height rapidly grew until he stood exactly six ters tall, matching the tallest among them.
His coily white hair transford into long pitch-black hair that stretched down his back, and from his head, not one, not four, but a total of six horns pierced outward.
Two more eyes appeared beneath his normal pair, turning pitch black with a singular crimson dot within them.
Then the center of his forehead squird as a single line ripped open, revealing a solitary crimson eye staring quietly at all three of them.
An insane grin followed next, faint crackles escaping his lips as White’s pale face split wider beneath, a maw stretching all the way toward his ears.
"You..."
Galaxy Altherion couldn’t believe his eyes.
White didn’t just exude the sa aura as the devils before them.
His aura was even more nauseating, as if whatever he was, it stood at an even higher level of evil than the Umbrawyrs themselves.
"Tell Ultimate... Errrrrr..."
The scraping voice echoed out like iron grinding against iron as Galaxy Altherion froze.
"The balance... will be... broken..."
White said before turning his back.
All three Umbrawyrs stared at the Astral Guard Squad, though only for a mont before they turned after White.
Just in ti, the squad watched two massive dark wings rip out from White’s back, and the sa happened to the rest of the Umbrawyrs as enormous wings burst from their backs as well.
With a single flap, they all transford into beams of dark light that flashed into the distance, disappearing instantly.
"They’re gone..."
Llumino muttered beneath his breath just as the hatch of the jet opened with Snow appearing beside him.
Her hands glowed with a milky white light, which she brought close to the Captain’s wound, and imdiately the darkness was forced away while the cut slowly sealed together until the wound disappeared completely, leaving Galaxy Altherion standing on his own once more.
But even then, his mind still shook from what he had witnessed.
Those weren’t just an intelligently advanced race...
They were overwhelmingly powerful.
Moreover, he had seen White, how he had beco one of them, and willingly chosen to follow them.
Yet his last words still echoed in Galaxy Altherion’s mind.
"Take the jet."
Galaxy Altherion said to Snow.
"We’re going back to the Institute."
’And I need a word about whatever horror it is you’ve created, this ti...Ultimate Err!’
