But Laden wasn’t as hot-blooded as Pri was; instead of rushing forward like he told him to, he slowly moved around it to better observe it.
"It seems like a wolf beast of so kind," Laden muttered.
"But it also doesn’t seem to belong to the Spirit World," he continued.
Though he couldn’t say he was extrely knowledgeable as regards the spirit world, from what he had seen, he had a general idea of how things were.
"That’s obvious, isn’t it? It’s a god-damned Corrupted beast," Pri shouted in anger.
"Corrupted beast? What are those?" Laden asked.
Pri kept quiet for a while before he finally spoke up in an almost silent voice.
"I don’t know. I can’t rember."
Hearing those words, Laden couldn’t help but shake his head as he returned his focus to the beast.
"From my knowledge of wolf creatures, they are almost always in packs."
"Does that an this one also has pack mbers," he thought in fear.
"But I don’t know if that’s how things work in the Spirit World, though," he muttered in a doubting thought.
Before Laden could begin thinking further, he suddenly noticed the Grotesque wolf-like beast stand on its feet while looking at him.
Seeing the beast in its full form almost made Laden puke at the disgusting sight in front of him. The beast had its flesh rotting on so side while dark miasma emanated from it.
"This shit is worse than I thought."
The beast didn’t hesitate, but instead, flas flared up from its body as it charged straight at Laden with its disgusting teeth and gums exposed.
"Get ready, Pri; we are doing this."
"I have been urging you for a while now, you bastard," Pri retorted angrily.
The instant the beast crossed half the distance between them, Laden also kicked off the ground and charged straight at it.
The two t in the blink of an eye, and Laden thrust his hip forward to send a downward punch towards the beast’s head.
The beast itself didn’t care about Laden’s attack; instead, it bit straight at his legs, hoping to completely incapacitate him.
"That shit shouldn’t touch ," Laden shouted while trying to boost his speed to the absolute peak.
Due to the sudden push in speed, Laden’s punch was the first to hit Laden, directly on the Corrupted beast head completely disrupting its attack.
The instant the punch landed, Laden imdiately shuffled backward to observe the effects and analyze.
"That’s great; the punch almost completely caved in its head," he said with a smile.
"Stop smiling, dummy, and check well," He heard Pri’s voice in his mind.
After that reminder from Pri, Laden checked the point of contact and saw a faint golden light emanating from it, and the damaged area slowly healed.
"What the hell? What’s that golden light? Aren’t these corrupted spirits, why does it have a golden light that heals it?" Laden spun out a string of questions.
"Stop talking so much and focus on the fight," Pri shouted.
In no ti, the beast looked like it was in perfect shape, with no signs of the impact point of Laden’s attack at all.
"This is going to be crazy," Laden shouted while rushing out the second ti.
The beast had grown more ferocious upon getting injured and didn’t just stand there; it seed as if it was about to fight smarter.
Instead of rushing straight ahead like it previously did, it decided to employ tactics; it ran straight into the fire, then surrounded them, vanishing from sight.
"It is really like a real wolf, employing tactics uhh," Laden said with a surprised face.
Instead of following the wolf into the fire or scurrying around in the opening to find it. Laden remained still and waited.
"Wolves love using their agility in combat, especially lone combat, so this one should only be trying to do the sa."
Laden remained in his spot and carefully looked around him, waiting to see where the beast would appear from.
The corrupted beast suddenly jumped out from sowhere behind Laden, where it was believed to be his blind spot.
It charged as fast as it could before leaping into the air, hoping to bite Laden in the head.
The beast got so close that he felt Laden couldn’t dodge anymore, and it was at that point that a smile ford on Laden’s blue fur-covered face.
He twisted his spine unnaturally while aiming for a direct uppercut to the beast’s gut.
"You waited too long," Pri said angrily.
As if he had already predicted the path of the counterpunch, Laden also noticed the beast’s body get out of his punch path.
"It must hit," he shouted as he twisted further.
After all the effort the punch managed to graze the beast’s side, changing its trajectory and knocking it back into the fire.
"It is just going to heal again."
"Do you think they can heal forever, it is obvious they will have an energy limit, and speaking of energy limits, you seem to be reaching yours too," Pri said.
It was suddenly brought to Laden’s attention the mont he heard those words, though they had tried to lengthen the ti; they still couldn’t rge for more than ten minutes.
"I need to end this as soon as possible; the next attack is my chance," Laden thought.
He waited again until the Corrupted beast jumped out again, but this ti it was from his left side.
"Lone wolves try to end battles as soon as possible, so I think he should be heading for my neck."
"This is my chance," he thought excitedly.
When the beast got close enough, instead of throwing a punch, Laden aid to grab the beast.
He grabbed its wide-open mouth, completely ignoring the teeth sinking into his flesh, and in one fluid motion pulled it apart, splitting the beast into two halves.
"Let’s see you heal from that," Laden said while throwing the two halves down to the ground.
"That’s it, that’s it, I love that and it was just in ti," Pri shouted in Laden’s mind.
Laden then noticed the fur on his body receding; a smile appeared on his face even as the fires in the surroundings were slowly dying.
"Is that all the chaos she was talking about, that seed fairly easy," he said with a scornful smile.
As if the world itself wanted to respond to his scornful smile, a noise suddenly rang out from multiple locations beside him.
Hooooowwwwwllllll! Howwwwlllllll! Howwwllllllll!!!!!!!
