The staff hit extrely cleanly, knocking the bird student completely unconscious and down onto the ground with absolutely no defense.

"Oh my, that was so cool; you are really strong," Caleb suddenly shouted from the side.

"The way you tid the healing, the summoning, and the attack was so perfect, how did you do that?" his voice sounded extrely excited.

"And that word you said at the end, "Exhud," what does it an?" he asked.

Laden only smiled gently when he heard the earlier parts of Caleb’s words, as he knew what true strength was and he was nowhere close to that.

And for the last part—the question—Laden had absolutely no idea; he only copied what Pri had started saying not long ago since it sounded cool.

"Umm, about that word, I just heard it sowhere, and I loved the way it sounded, so I just started saying it," Laden responded while itching his head awkwardly.

"Ohh wow, I think I am going to do the sa," Caleb said with a smile.

"Mine will be sothing like ’You have been blessed’ every ti I heal."

Laden’s eyebrow twitched when he heard that, as he hadn’t expected Caleb to co up with such a weird one.

"I don’t think you should say that," he said with a light chuckle.

"Oh, really? why?" Caleb asked.

"Because it sounds very cringe," Laden forcefully said.

"Oh, really? I guess I will think of a better one then," Caleb said with an enthusiastic smile.

The two of them continued to exchange banter when Laden suddenly noticed from the side of his eye.

"All of our harvests are gone," he said in shock.

Caleb looked skeptical when he heard Laden’s words, unwilling to Believe that they could lose that large amount of harvested material without anyone noticing.

"Whatttt?" he shouted when he noticed the empty spot where they were supposed to be.

"Where did they all go?" he asked.

The two of them had been so totally focused on the bird and student that they hadn’t even noticed that such a large heap had been taken.

"I bet this guy had sothing to do with it," Laden said while approaching the unconscious figure.

"Why did you say that? Weren’t we in love with fighting him throughout?" Caleb asked.

"I just feel it; there’s no way soone with his Summon being a crow having such a domineering attitude."

"And with how he is attuned with his summon, having the sa greed, he probably has another trait of crows, Not working alone," Laden said in a long stretch.

"So you are saying he had a partner," Caleb said.

"Yes. He might have acted in such an overbearing manner to attract our attention and allow his teammates to do whatever they want."

"What do we do then? we can’t just let them have it," Caleb added.

"Obviously we won’t, but since we have him, then there’s nothing to worry about; we just tie him up and wait for him to wake up."

Having quickly formulated a plan, the two went back to doing different things. Caleb went to get so of the rations they were provided since they hadn’t eaten since yesterday, while Laden went to continue his staff training alone with Pri.

Since he had gotten a taste of using that weapon, Laden had unexpectedly fallen in love.

And ti flew by like that; the sun was already climbing higher in the sky with no response or anything happening at all.

"Uhh-," The unconscious student slowly made out while he regained consciousness.

The new noise alerted Laden and Caleb, signifying to them that their Captive was awake. Not too long ago, Caleb had already taken the rope they were provided and wrapped it around the student’s body in case he woke up.

"The sleeping beauty is finally awake, uhh," Laden said with a sinister smile.

"What are you guys doing, let go," the student shouted after realizing the condition he currently was in.

"Why would we do that when you have sothing that belongs to us?" Laden responded.

"What do you an? I don’t know what you are talking about," the student retorted imdiately, feigning ignorance.

"Stop trying to act ignorant here, we know," Caleb said while hoping to back Laden up despite his face still looking soft.

"I don’t have your property," the student said.

"Just let go," he added.

Laden stood in his spot, staring down at the student, not entirely sure what he was supposed to do. It was quite evident that the student wasn’t willing to say anything at the mont and was extrely obstinate.

"Hmm, how do we get him to talk?" Laden said with his hands on his chin.

Caleb, who was currently on the side, heard Laden’s words, and his eyes sparkled brightly before he responded loudly.

"I know a plant."

Hearing Caleb’s response, Laden was about to open his mouth and shut that idea down as he rembered the last ti they used a plant Caleb knew, but sothing held him back.

"Though it had side effects, it actually did work, why don’t we try it out?" Laden said to himself.

"Alright, let’s use your plant," Laden said with a nod.

Seeing Laden agree with his plans, Caleb grew excited before rushing off to go find the plant he was talking about.

Watching the interaction between the two people in front of him, the student on the ground couldn’t help but swallow a mouthful of saliva while a thought dominated his mind.

"What sorts of freaks have I run into today?"

Laden didn’t say anything to the man on the ground; instead, he moved towards the log that was currently to the side and sat on it, waiting for Caleb to return.

They waited for about twenty minutes until Laden suddenly started feeling a slight shake in the ground, making him stand up.

"He is here," he muttered.

And just like he expected, Caleb appeared in front of him with a normal-looking plant in his hand.

"Laden, this is a Mind-Opening plant; we just need to put so of the juices in his nose, and he will tell us everything," Caleb said with a smile.

"Ohhh really, let’s get the interrogation started then," Laden said with a sinister smile.
