Ten Thousand Sword Sect Master observed Ying Yue’s shocked expression in silence.

She did not mock it. She did not reassure her.

Because her disciple’s reaction was no different from her own when she had first received the news.

No matter how lofty her position was in the Soaring Dragon Continent, no matter how many cultivators bowed their heads before her, when facing those existences from the Upper Realm, she was still insignificant.

Painfully so.

She stood at the peak of the mortal world, a Grand Ascension Realm powerhouse whose na alone could suppress an entire continent. Yet compared to immortals, that title ant nothing. The gulf between mortals and immortals was not a matter of talent or effort—it was a fundantal divide, like comparing dust to the stars.

Even the lowest tier of the Immortal Realm—the Grand Unity Immortal—was said to be thousands of tis stronger than her.

A being like that could erase the Thousand Sword Sect with a stray thought.

As these heavy realizations churned through her mind, the air in the hall suddenly trembled.

Not violently.

Subtly.

As if reality itself had briefly forgotten how to exist.

Before either Ying Yue or the Sect Master could react, space rippled like disturbed water, and a figure stepped out from nothingness.

He was an extrely handso man, dressed simply, without divine radiance or overwhelming pressure. His presence was calm, almost unremarkable—and yet, the mont he appeared, the world seed to quiet around him, as if everything was unconsciously holding its breath.

His eyes were deep and plain, carrying neither arrogance nor emotion.

He did not acknowledge the Thousand Sword Sect Master.

He did not spare Ying Yue a glance.

Instead, his gaze swept outward, piercing through walls, formations, mountains, and clouds—encompassing the entire Ancient Sword City, then expanding further, as if surveying the whole Seven Cloud Convergence World at once.

For a brief mont, his eyes paused.

At the distant battle arena.

At Lin Huang.

A faint flicker of interest crossed his gaze.

"This one..." he mused silently.

He could see it clearly. The young man’s sword intent was frighteningly pure, his blade balanced on the very edge of transcendence. One step further, and he would step into the Eternal Dao Realm, the peak of mortal sword dao.

That realization made even him pause.

Such a realm was notoriously difficult to reach. Even many immortals failed to touch it, their dao forever stopping short.

Just who... is this young man?

He etched Lin Huang’s existence into mory, then calmly shifted his focus elsewhere.

Far away.

Where multiple terrifying auras were slowly converging, hidden beneath layers of fate and concealnt.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"So it’s true," he thought. "The Dragon Race Inheritance Ground... is about to surface."

And with that realization, the calm before the storm quietly deepened.

But Murong Sichen had already expected this outco. As such, there was no surprise on his face.

His gaze calmly shifted, rerouting from the distant battlefield to the Thousand Sword Sect Patriarch standing below him.

The mont she noticed that subtle change, Ning Qi’s heart jolted. All traces of pride and authority she carried as the ruler of a holy land evaporated in an instant, dispersing like mist before the sun.

She imdiately bent her waist in a deep bow.

"This humble junior, Ning Qi, greets the Core Disciple of Sword Saint Heaven," she said respectfully, her voice asured and flawless. "I hope Senior’s journey to the lower realm has been pleasant."

Of course, the Thousand Sword Sect Patriarch had a na. It was simply that no one dared to use it anymore. She had stood too high for too long.

Murong Sichen rely nodded.

It was neither approval nor acknowledgnt—just a reflexive gesture. He clearly had little interest in formalities. Instead, his attention drifted past Ning Qi and settled on Ying Yue.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Hm... Natural Dao Bone."

The words left his lips casually, as though comnting on the weather. He was just about to continue when his expression flickered—barely noticeable, yet sharp.

He sensed it.

The fortune surrounding Ying Yue was unstable.

Borrowed.

Not truly hers.

A faint smile curved his lips.

"How interesting," Murong Sichen said softly. "This junior has so skill indeed, to forcibly reverse fate itself."

He looked directly at Ying Yue now.

"If you manage to step into immortality one day, you may even touch the legendary Fate Authority."

Ying Yue’s face had gone pale the mont she felt his gaze fall upon her. Countless thoughts raced through her mind—fear, guilt, unease—worried that her past actions had sohow offended an immortal.

But upon hearing his words, all those worries vanished.

Her lips parted slightly, then curved into an uncontrollable smile.

Although she had no idea what an Authority truly was, one thing was certain: if an immortal ntioned it, it was bound to be extraordinary.

It was at this mont that Ning Qi’s expression subtly darkened.

Ying Yue noticed it from the corner of her eye and was just about to ask when Murong Sichen suddenly chuckled.

"What decisiveness," he said lightly.

"What frightening combat power."

His gaze shifted again—this ti locking onto the arena.

"A re Foundation Building cultivator killing a Unity Realm expert..." Murong Sichen murmured. "Just who exactly is this young man?"

Murong Sichen was no sheltered immortal.

He frequently descended into lower realms, witnessing countless geniuses, heaven’s chosen, and monsters born with terrifying talent.

Yet compared to this young man—

All of them fell short.

With a flick of his wrist, Murong Sichen closed his eyes, threads of fate quietly responding to his will as he began to divine.

The air subtly distorted.

A mont passed.

Then another.

His relaxed deanor vanished.

His brows furrowed.

Then—shock.

"Great Dao Deity..." he whispered, disbelief bleeding into his tone.

"Such a powerful karmic tie... intertwined with Sword Saint Heaven itself."

His eyes snapped open.

"Could it be..." Murong Sichen muttered slowly, "an ancient ancestor of Sword Saint Heaven—one who evaded the Nether Cycle and successfully reincarnated...?"

Those words struck like thunder.

Both Ning Qi and Ying Yue stiffened.

"Impossible!" Ying Yue blurted out instinctively, her voice sharp and reflexive.

That good-for-nothing trash, Lin Huang?

An ancient ancestor?

A reincarnated immortal?

She refused to accept it.

Before anyone could respond—

A furious roar tore through the sky, shaking the sect’s foundations and echoing like divine judgnt.

"Ying Yue! Co out and face !"

"I am here to collect that blood debt!"

The storm had finally arrived.
