"Yes, Master. I have been waiting for this for days."

He could feel how excited she was.

The change happened between one heartbeat.

The chaotic purple energy that had always swirled around Vexa’s blade did not simply intensify. It detonated outward in a silent, concentrated burst that pushed Adonis back two full steps and left a ring of scorched stone on the floor around the point where the sword had been.

Where the sword had been.

Because the sword was no longer a sword.

Buzz. Buzz. Buzzzzzz.

The purple fire gathered itself upward from the scorched floor in slow, deliberate spirals, not the frantic chaotic movent of ordinary fire but sothing more considered, more intentional, the movent of sothing assembling itself according to its own design rather than the random logic of combustion.

The spirals wound tighter and tighter, pulling in ambient light and warmth from the surrounding room as they consolidated, and then the shape began to reduce.

Within seconds, it took shape of a small humanoid spirit.

Her facial features were sharp and playful, eyes burning two shades deeper than the rest of her body, the particular brightness of sothing that has been waiting a long ti and has finally arrived.

She looked at Adonis with those burning eyes and smiled with an expression that was equal parts satisfaction and mischief.

"Hello, Master. I have a body now," Vexa said playfully with her hands on her hips.

Adonis looked her with calm.

"You look pleased with yourself, Vexa," he said.

"Yes, Master. I am extrely pleased with myself," she confird in a cute voiced.

She turned in a slow circle, examining her own hands with the focused curiosity.

Her fingers left brief trails of purple light in the air as they moved, fading slowly like afterimages.

"I can also transform at will," she said, more to herself than to him, testing the statent against the reality of it.

Her form shifted, contracting and reshaping in the space of a breath back into the double edged black sword with its draconic winged hilt, the chaotic energy now burning considerably brighter and more aggressively than it had before the upgrade.

Then she expanded back out into her spirit form just as quickly.

"Yes. That works very well."

"Good," Adonis said. He looked at the status information still hovering at the edge of his awareness and read through it carefully.

Chaos Expansion allows the user to expand any target, living or non-living, to any size the user desires. A grain of sand becos a boulder. A boulder becos a mountain. A mountain becos a continent. The only ceiling is the Ether sustaining the expansion.

He read it twice.

At first glance it did not announce itself as the most obviously devastating ability in his growing arsenal.

Increase the size of any living or non-living object. No upper limit except Ether depletion.

He imagined it usefulness.

A small stone. No, a pebble picked up from any roadside, the kind of thing a person could carry a dozen of in one closed fist without noticing the weight.

He thought about throwing that pebble high above an enemy formation. Thought about the mont it reached its apex, suspended briefly at the top of its arc above whatever lay below.

He thought about what happened if, in that mont, he expanded it to the size of a building. Maybe a hill, maybe even larger than that..

The sheer mass of displaced stone descending from that height onto whatever stood below it would be sothing that no formation, no defensive barrier, no level of personal combat ability could aningfully address.

It would simply cease. Everything under it would simply cease.

And that was one stone.

One pebble from one roadside.

"Master," Vexa said, watching his face with those burning eyes. "You have that kind of expression."

"What kind of expression?" he asked.

"The one that ans soone is about to have a very bad day and does not know it yet."

He looked at her.

She smiled again, bright and absolutely unrepentant.

"I gave you that trait specifically," she said. "I had thirteen upgrade cycles worth of accumulated potential and I chose that one above everything else available to because I have been watching you fight for long enough to understand how your mind works. You do not need more raw power, Master. You have catastrophic raw power. What you need is leverage."

"So, you thought about this, huh," he said, amused.

"Yes, I think about everything," Vexa replied. "I am your sword soul. Thinking about how to make you unstoppable is the entirety of my purpose and I take it very seriously."

He looked at her, this living fire spirit built from the accumulated Harem Force of the won who had chosen him and the chaos energy that ran through his blood, and felt sothing that he did not often feel when evaluating new capabilities.

Genuine surprise.

"Why don’t yoy test it yourself, master?" Vexa urged, nodding toward the small potted plant sitting on the windowsill of the room.

Adonis looked at it. Reached toward the trait with his focus, then pushed.

The plant instantly started expanding

It did not grow in the way plants grew, slowly and with the biological patience of living things adding themselves increntally to the world.

It simply beca larger, all at once.

He released the focus.

The plant imdiately stopped growing. But it did remain on the increase size.

It now filled most of the upper half of the room, its enormous leaves pressing against the ceiling and window fra.

"The maid is going to be upset about this," he comnted.

"That she will."

The Chaos was expanding, and there is no one to stop it.
