Mariana stared at him while he unboxed the jade box.

Instantly, a violet radiance like no other erupted from within.

Vexa identified the item for him again:

[ TIAMAT’S Heart (Beast Core of Dragon Progenitor) ]

[ Grade: SSS ]

[ Affinity: Chaos ]

After reading the appraisal, both Adonis and Mariana’s hearts jumped in shock.

"Adonis! We are in a great ss," she muttered, trembling. "The whole Dragon Kingdom might be after us soon."

Adonis put the heart back inside the box, then into his bag and slung it over his shoulder.

"Chaos affinity... It cannot be just a simple coincidence," he murmured. "It feels as though it was destined to fall into my hand."

"Soone is definitely observing... But from where?"

He looked into the sky as though seeking answers.

Surprisingly, it was also that mont when a star blinked brightly above.

Afterward, the duo started walking their way back to the Academy.

anwhile:

At the place where the catastrophic battle occurred, several humans with draconic traits searched around with desperate hunger.

The old man stood there, looking guilty. The bandit was already vanished.

"Tsk, now you have done it old man. Dragon Queen gave you just one task, and yet you failed to complete it." a dragon woman muttered with disappointnt.

"The dragon queen will be extrely mad. It is said among those hearts, our Ancestor’s heart was there too. And now we lost it." a man added, sighing.

"It’s all my fault," the old man admitted with remorse. "I managed to rescue most of the hearts from that filthy bandit, so I didn’t paid so much attention at first."

A young dragon girl spread her hands protectively.

"Its not grandpa’s fault. If he wasn’t there, during the ritual everything would have stolen by now. The Dragon Queen didn’t even sent adequate guards to safeguard them. She’s so careless."

"Shh, Little Bi," the old man place a finger on her lips. "She’ll hear us."

"Unfortunately, I already did."

The voice ca out of nowhere.

But they all fixed their posture instinctively.

From beyond the misty clouds, a massive spphire dragon, wearing silver crown, descended.

The dragon swifty tranford into a woman of breathtaking beauty.

She had long sapphire blue, crystalline eyes that shined like Jewels, then elgant silver crown over her temple.

Her physique was S-shaped, accentuated by a natural grace that seed almost unreal, as if every curve had been sculpted by divine hands. Yet, despite her breathtaking beauty, an overwhelming pressure descended upon the surroundings the mont she appeared.

Buzz!

Even the ground beneath their feet seed to submit.

The group imdiately lowered their heads.

"Your Majesty."

The Dragon Queen’s looked across the ruined battlefield.

She didn’t seem angered, but that made even more terryfying.

"Explain."

A single word.

But it felt heavier than a mountain.

The old man bowed,

"Your Majesty, the ritual site was attacked. A human bandit infiltrated the periter. I managed to recover most of the cores, but—"

He hesitated.

The Queen’s eyes turned cold,

"Speak."

"One of them is missing."

The mont he those words, asuffocating chill spread through the area.

Even the young dragon girl, Little Bi, instinctively held her grandfather’s sleeve.

The Dragon Queen closed her eyes.

When she opened them again, her aura turned chaotic.

"Which one?"

The old man gulped,

"The Ancestor’s probably."

Hearing him, for or the first ti, a crack appeared in her composure.

The surrounding Ether beca volatile, forming invisible currents that broke through the battlefield remnants.

"Impossible!"

Her voice was no longer calm.

"That core was sealed under triple-layered draconic formation. Even an emperor shouldn’t have been able to take it unnoticed."

The dragon woman from before spoke up cautiously.

"Your Majesty, we suspect interference. The bandit was rely a distraction. There may have been another party involved."

The Queen beca quiet again.

Her gaze slowly moved toward the sky.

For a brief mont, her eyes narrowed.

"So, you’ve started moving already."

No one understood who she was speaking to. And no one dared to ask.

"Summon the Ti Lord’s Heir! Only he can see what happened here."

"Yes, your majesty."

--

The Ti Lord’s heir arrived within just 15 minutes.

He was a young boy, no older than twelve.

Short silver hair frad his delicate face. A perfect clock-face mark glowed softly on his forehead. The twelve black Roman nurals encircled a single crimson eye at the center.

He wore simple white robes embroidered with hourglass symbols, sleeves too long, hem dragging slightly.

Yet the mont he saw the Dragon Queen, his entire deanor changed.

His hazel eyes brightened with unrestrained excitent.

"Your Majesty! You called for ? In person?!"

The Queen regarded him with a curt nodd.

"Yes,Elliot Veyron, Heir of the Ti Lord."

Elliot straightened, practically vibrating.

"Yes! That’s ! Elliot Veyron, at your service! I an, technically my title is ’Chronarch’s Chosen Successor,’ but everyone just calls the Ti Brat anyway, heh. Wow, you’re even taller up close! And the scales! They’re so shiny! Do they get hot when you’re angry? Wait, don’t answer that, I already know they do—"

"Enough."

One word and the boy snapped his mouth shut instantly.

The Queen gestured toward the scorched battlefield.

"Do your work and leave."

Elliot’s playful expression vanished.

He sighed and look on the ash pile that had once been the bandit leader, then sweeping across the shattered stone, the lingering scorch marks, the faint residual Ether trails.

Elliot Veyron stood motionless in the center of the scorched battlefield. The clock mark on his forehead glowed with green light as he extended his right hand once more.

Thin threads of ti unraveled backward around his fingers, replaying the scene in reverse.

Ash reford into screaming flesh. Fire retracted into the Dragon’s maw. The cloth bag flew upward into the sky, then fell again landing exactly where it had before.

Elliot pushed deeper.

The vision beca clear.

A small white rabbit darted from the tree line. It nosed the knot open with uncanny precision, bit the drawstring, and dragged the bag into the underbrush. The mont the sack vanished behind foliage, the rabbit vanished.

Elliot frowned.

"A white rabbit? That’s all I can see?"

He pushed further, trying to follow the rabbit’s path, to glimpse what happened after it disappeared into the bushes.

But, the threads of ti resisted.

"Crack!"

Elliot scread.

His eyes exploded like two eggs.

The clock mark on his forehead flickered wildly, then dimd to a dull gray.

Seeing this, they were scared and stiff.

"Elliot!"

The Dragon Queen’s tail lashed once, stopping everyone in place.

"Silence."

She stepped toward Elliot.

"What did you see?" the Queen asked,

Elliot’s lips moved,

"A... a white rabbit. Only that. It took the bag. Then, when I tried to follow... my eyes..."

He shuddered.

"Sothing looked back. Sothing that shouldn’t exist in ti. It tore through my Chronal Sight like paper. I—I couldn’t see anything after that mont."

The Queen’s sapphire eyes eyes narrowed into slits.

"It must be Chaos. The bearer of Ancestor’s Heart carries Chaos strong enough to Ti Law itself."

She turned to her subordinates.

"Double the search eyes. Triple them if needed. Alert every spy, every vassal, every hidden nest from the Ashen Peaks to the Southern Marches."

The old man bowed,

"As you command, my Queen."

The Queen spread her wings halfway.

"And summon the Chronarch himself. His heir is wounded. The Ti Lord will want to know why his successor’s eyes were destroyed by a re rabbit."

Elliot managed a weak, bloody smile despite the pain.

"Tell him- tell him it was a very clever rabbit."

The Queen did not smile back.

She launched skyward with one powerful beat of her wings and left.

The old man knelt beside Elliot, ripping a strip from his own cloak to press against the boy’s ruined face.

"Hold still, lad. We’ll get you healers."

Elliot laughed mockingly.

"Those healers can’t fix this. Whatever looked back at , it wasn’t human. It wasn’t even alive in the normal way. It was hungry. Like ti itself got offended that I peeked."

He coughed, blood flecking his lips.

"But I saw the rabbit’s path. South-east. Toward the Fernis Kingdom."

Hearing him, everyone beca alert.

"Then that’s where we should go."

"Inform the Queen. The thief is heading to the human Kingdom. And whatever he is— it’s strong enough to blind the Ti Lord’s heir with a single glance."

All the dragon-kin knelt as one.

"We will find him."
