Chapter 53: Choosing a new Elent?
’But which elent, I could think of only three elents: light, life, or holy. Their ntion was in the book of Lin Fang, all three of them were rare elents.’
But when he thought of them he felt a strong connection to each of them like every other elent—they were waiting for him to just master them.
However, he had read that to use holy elents, one had to borrow the power through a connection with god. He didn’t know about any gods and even if he knew he didn’t want to entangle himself with it.
With holy elents, he did have the ability to heal but through his connection with the divine, he would create what the church called miracles. That was what he read about it.
Still, if that was the case wouldn’t that elent be a waste of ti for him? He didn’t think about it much now. Once he traveled to higher realms he would try to find information on them so he could learn how to use this holy elent which was said to be one of the most powerful elents against undeads.
As for the light elent, it would do so minor healing, and was said to have powerful attacks and even was used for increasing speed. It was a versatile elent, which was why Lin Fang said it was one of the strongest elents.
The Life elent which he had chosen to master was said to be related to vitality. It was the ideal elent for healing, regrowing arms, broken bones—everything, which those other two elents would struggle with, light and then holy which was said to be borrowed power that Lin Fang described.
He didn’t like the way it sounded.
If he was gonna use holy elents, he wanted to be the source of his own power, created by his own mana, not so so-called miracle created by the connection of so god.
The life elent was even said to restore people from the brink of the dead if soone had enough mana and control over the elent.
’I had started to realize that little by little I was increasing the amount of elents I would master. I did have all the elents. I had the ti because of my treasure, so why not? But one at a ti and at my own pace. I would master all elents one day in the future.’
’I didn’t even know if I was aware of all the elents in the world.’
’Now I needed to master Lightning, Space, Life, and then Ti, which I would try to, at least reach at the sa level as my Ice and Wind Elents.’
Getting up from the ground first for a few hours he practiced to control his strength, by running, jumping, punching, and various types of things including the use of mana body enhancent little by little.
It took him about 8 hours to get used to his own strength with or without the use of mana. Now this ti he used the sa mana enhancent in his body. With a boom he vanished from his spot, leaving only dust, and reached the rock thrice the size of his which was supposed to be the target for his lightning magic practice.
He had learned from experience that to use any elent, it would need his ntal power which was the term he learned from Lin Fang, which he said was the intelligence stat. The more imagination power the easier it was for you to cast a bigger and more destructive attack.
But for control over elents, there were no shortcuts. He had to train for months to learn to compress ice and wind, like using wind to enhance his speed. It required precise control over the elent. One mishap and instead of increasing your own speed through wind, you would stumble during a fight. A death wish in serious scenarios against monsters.
He started using his mana. Using his will he tried to create a lightning bolt to hit the target rock. It was wild and untad. He could feel the elent. He more or less used 100 mana in this attack.
It took only a few seconds as a huge lightning bolt the size of 10 ters struck with a thunderous sound.
Boom.
The destruction caused by it was sothing that he hadn’t anticipated fully. Two ters of rocky surface got torn apart, black burning marks on the ground, but he didn’t land on the rock he had targeted but instead right next to it on the ground.
He deflected the chunk of shattered ground that tried to hit him using his shield made out of Ice elent. It would have been easier to deflect it using the wind elent and just change the direction, but he had chosen to show the Ice elent in public so he was focusing more on it.
In terms of sheer destruction, he believed this lightning bolt had co quite close to the spear he had created before, using more than twice the mana before.
Which he believed to be the effect of the increase in the rank of elental affinity, and the fact he used two elents to make that attack focusing only on destruction, and even then this simple raw thunder ca close to it, surprised him quite a lot.
’Hell, I am starting to beco strong.’
This thought ca as a realization to him, but he didn’t give it much thought and continued focusing on practicing his elent.
It started with hours and it turned to days and a month.
A month was the amount of ti it took for Leon to master the Lightning affinity at the sa level as his Ice elent, but he didn’t stop as it had happened quite faster than he had imagined. He had thought it would take two months for him to reach that level so he decided to continue.
He trained for an extra month, focusing on using as much amount of mana as he could to create powerful attacks made out of compressed lightning. This thod of practice would focus both on his control over the elent and at the sa ti increase and sharpen his ntal imagination, as he found out that having over 1000 mana didn’t an he would create an attack using 1000 mana.
He realized once he reached the 350 mark that was where his limit lay. The mana went out of his control. The creation would go out of control, either by self-destruction if he wasn’t fast enough or just dissipate if he was careful.
The first ti that happened, he almost got turned to ashes because of this. 350 mana with his rank 7 affinity, and it was the ti when his attack wasn’t controlled. That massive blast of pure destruction even when in the last second he forced a shield out of Ice around him.
The result.
Ice shield didn’t even last for a second. His body got burned. He was flung away losing both his arms and one of his legs gone, punctured lungs, sizzling muscle. He would have died after a few minutes in real scenarios, but he got healed back to his previous state in a minute, but that pain was torturous.
He scread in agony.
Trying to rember about it gave chills to his body.
