Chapter 77: Fight, Leon vs Seraphine (2)
Leon’s feet screeched against the rocky surface, and a painful sensation shot through his upper body, focused more so in his abdon, where a 2-inch deep hole was created.

Only a grunt escaped his mouth, as he was already used to pain by now, because of his training on himself with his life elent and past torturous experiences in the dungeon.
He hadn’t had any ti to even think properly when he sensed her next attack coming from his back. This attack felt more terrifying than the last one. Leon didn’t take any chances and teleported himself 10 ters away from her.
Zzt—BOOM!
He had used his life elent to heal himself properly.
But what terrified him was the fact that he had seen his master’s next attack landing on the ground from above. A terrified lightning revolving around her blade screeched like an enraged banshee as it landed on the ground, exploding with a thunderous CRACK—KA-BOOM! Rocks flew in all directions, the impact blasted a small crater, cracks webbing through the solid ground like lightning frozen in stone.
If he hadn’t dodged that attack, he would have had a deep wound, and if it continued with the sa intensity, he would have lost to her then and there.
But seeing her attack landing on the ground and there was no one there, it surprised her a lot. At the sa ti, she felt ignited to know he had dodged that.
As this combo of hers was enough to finish most opponents, or render them helpless, she knew after her piercing thrust landed on him as a surprise, how tough his body was, so she wasn’t worried that it would cause him a fatal injury.
She had used another lightning step to not give him ti to even breathe, and then the Skybreaker Draw technique to finish the fight, or so she thought.
Her eyes locked on him, standing 10 ters away from her. She didn’t charge, she noticed his wounds were already gone, which wasn’t a surprise to her as last night he had told her not to hold back—he had learned to use life elent and could even heal fatal wounds with his mana reserves.
She had used almost one-tenth of her whole reserve just now. The reason she didn’t attack was to let her mana recover, and this ti she was gonna use an even more terrifying combo, and she had even taken into consideration his ability to vanish in just half a second.
She knew what she had to do—just had to be faster than that.
Leon looked at his master, who was looking at him with the eyes of a hunter who was watching her prey.
After just this little battle, he had understood that in a real fight, he shouldn’t try to learn and go with the intention to finish it as quickly as possible, like how his master was trying to achieve.
"Master, be ready," he said with a light smile on his face. "Don’t worry, master, I will heal back to new when I am done with you."
"I will finish this quickly, so we should go on our date. I don’t like fighting with you, honestly."
Seraphine, hearing his words, was alert now, as now she knew her disciple would show her what he was capable of—not the unrefined swordsplay he had shown earlier, which made her realize the greatness of having this treasure of ti, as he had just switched his weapon.
His confidence had irked her a bit as if he was sure she wouldn’t be able to do anything, but she would show him what true years of experience are.
Yet it made her feel warm that he was as excited as her for the date. She replied to him.
"Don’t worry, my disciple, I feel the sa, so the master is gonna finish this fast."
After they said their final words, the silence fell, and it was broken by Leon as he released an onslaught of powerful lightning strikes every 0.25 seconds.
ZAP—ZAP—ZAP—ZAAAP!!
To dodge these attacks, Seraphine had to activate her Raijin Descent, one of the most powerful techniques of hers, as two horns made out of lightning ford up from her skull.
CRRK-KRAK!
Her body flared with mana body enhancent and lightning step skill.
FWOOSH—BOOM!
She had beco terrifyingly fast. Leon could only see her blurred figure as she was trying to close the distance between them. With his spatial awareness, Leon, even when he couldn’t see her, could predict the trajectory of her path as he bombarded them with tens of light bolts, which he could cast almost infinitely with his recovery speed in here.
When it felt she was coming closer, he would teleport back,
Zzt!—CRASH!
Making Seraphine realize how deadly this trap she had been caught in was—he wasn’t even breaking a sweat, and at this rate, in a couple of minutes, her entire mana reserve would be over.
She couldn’t afford to delay this fight any longer. She had to finish it quickly if she wanted to win.
She activated her level one Lightning Aura at the sa ti as her Thunder Vein Pulse technique to detect where his attacks would co from, so she could reach him quickly and didn’t just rely on her enhanced speed.
While using Aura didn’t take as much mana as skills and techniques, even with that, she could only last in this state for two minutes with her mana.
Crackling blue lightning around her sword and body, her pressuring aura and two lightning horns on her head, at the sa ti, her mana body enhancent master rank is at full capacity right now.
CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!
This was her strongest form.
Just when her Aura unleashed itself, Leon felt the change in atmosphere. Along with lightning strikes, he had decided to use the ice affinity to launch large skewers of ice at her.

She dodged them as if nothing—it looked to him her figure had just blinked out of sight. Leon realized the seriousness of the situation. Her speed was too much for him to handle now. He used both his lightning elent and wind elent to enhance his speed at the sa ti, and teleported even before she had made her next move.
VWOOOM!
And as expected, as he vanished from the previous spot, Seraphine was already there with a sword strike that made a long, deep cut on the rocky surface as if cutting butter.
CLANG—KRRRRRRAK!
Leon knew he would have lost his arms if he hadn’t teleported in ti.
And now with his wind and lightning elent enhancing his speed, he was confident in dodging whatever she threw at him. In her current state, he wasn’t a match for her in a head-on fight, so he couldn’t afford to take a hit from her—it would be over.
Seraphine tried everything, but he would barely dodge her every single ti. There was only one minute left for her now in her strongest state. She knew—at this rate, it was really over. She wouldn’t be able to win this fight and would collapse from mana exhaustion.
She had lost. Her disciple was impossible to catch. But she wasn’t going to give up just yet.
All she needed was one opening. Just one.
So instead of attacking—she spoke.
"Leon, are you just gonna run like this... or actually try to attack ?"
