Chapter 105: It’s better not to force them.

" Is everything ok my love. Are you still worried about Aunty Finley." Su Ping asked linda with a voice filled with concern.

" No... I’m sure Aunty Finley must be safe wherever she is, that’s all that matters to ." linda let out a breath and smiled.

Su Ping nodded lightly. He then led them towards the large dark sphere. linda’s facial features turned worried while glancing at the large Dark sphere that covered them in it’s shadow. She stared at her husband, not knowing what he was planning. linda’s pupils seed to tremble as she watched him approach it, but she didn’t do anything to stop him.

linda pulled her kids close to her. l and Sal had curious eyes as they watched their father approach the Dark sphere. They thought it was another fun ball not knowing what was truly trapped within, after all, the both of them were asleep at the ti Su Ping imprisoned the villagers.

The Dark sphere suddenly vanished the next mont and a pile of people erged before Su Ping, those above, falling atop those below as they rolled on each other in panic once the dark sphere vanished.

" The light! It’s back!"

" We can see again!"

" Thank the gods! for they’ve finally set us free."

The villagers celebrated their release, so of them were as still as corpses, having died from being pilled on one another for so long, so had their bodies dislocated, so had fractured bones, most were injured but that didn’t stop them from celebrating.

Never did they expect to be so happy to retain their freedom and vision but, when so of them spotted Su Ping, they froze in terror, those who were still celebrating, felt sothing amiss when the cheer filled voices began dying down, whenever one of them turned to see what had happened, their faces would freeze in terror.

In a short while, Su Ping plunged all the villagers into an illusion. Their faces were frozen in terror while their mouths kept mumbling words in fear, over and over and over again, without end.

Su Ping forced them all to imagine Jack and his undead, wrecking havock on the village, chasing, slaughtering and torturing them with no signs of letting them rest, their minds a permanent torture scape from which they could never escape.

For added asure, he made sure they could only mumble and remained still, to avoid scaring the children but, This much was enough to deter anyone who ca to the village seeking answers.

Unless who ever it was, was ticulous enough to undo all the illusions he had casted on the villagers, to receive a proper testimony of how the incident occured, it would be nearly impossible for them to trace this incident back to him.

Using Jack as a scapegoat was more plausible since he was already a wanted fugitive and since the latter was a necromancer as well, it would be more believable for others to picture him attacking the village. Causing the villagers to set fire to a building since fire was technically one of the weaknesses of undead, especially zombies.

As for how he knew about such information, he didn’t need to think twice to realize that a zombie corpse would naturally be weakened when it ca across fire, after all, a walking corpse, even if it was imbued with magic, would still be susceptible to flas.

’ That trail of destruction I left behind will be troubleso to deal with though.’ Su Ping revealed a helpless smile in his head when he recalled how he had destroyed a sizable piece of the village when he had used his attack previously.

Su Ping didn’t have much ti to think about it because of l and Sal calling for his attention.

" Daddy, why are they acting like that."

" Is sothing wrong with them." l and Sal stared at the villagers with hints of fear in their eyes. They still didn’t forget what these people had done to them.

" They’re just sick. There’s nothing to be worried about." Su Ping called them over, he felt a bit sad seeing such reactions from the both of them but he knew it couldn’t be avoided, after all, they had really endured so much at the hands of the villagers.

l and Sal were reluctant to get closer to the villager’s, clinging to their mother’s clothing.

" It’s ok, they won’t be able to hurt you anymore. Daddy’s here to protect you." linda tried consoling them but the both of them shook their heads, refusing to co closer to them.

Su Ping eventually sighed, signalling for linda not to force them. ’ They’ll need so ti to deal with their trauma. It’s best not to rush them...’ he thought to himself.

"...?" Su Ping glanced upwards and saw Rugard coming over by leaping on rooftop’s before jumping and landing Infront of them.

" What’s the problem this ti." Su Ping asked, neither angry to see him nor pleased either. Rugard stole a glance at the kids but didn’t say anything, Instead, he gestured for Su Ping to follow. This made him annoyed but he ultimately followed him in the end, moving so distance from linda and the kid’s.

’ What could he possibly want to tell that he doesn’t want her to hear?’

" I’ve gathered a few carts from the village and filled them with valuables but we can’t take all the livestock or too much valuables so I reckon taking coins, so mana stones and so of the livestock should be okay."

’ Is this what was so important that he wanted to tell ?’ Su Pings approval of Rugard dropped once more.

Rugard beca irritated seeing Su Pings look of contempt but he could only hold himself back. Nevertheless, he had done his part to make sure the kid’s didn’t loose their morals, the only reason he had brought Su Ping away was to make sure the children didn’t hear them discussing robbing the village.
