Chapter 113: Enjoy the al.
Rugard watched Su Ping’s receding back view then glanced at the serving already prepared for him on a plate. After a few monts of silence, he walked over and took the al.
"...This is actually pretty good." Rugards eyes widened after taking a bite of the food. " Who would’ve known that a demon would actually be this skilled in the kitchen." Rugard chuckled before taking more and more servings of the al.
" l, Sal, the both of you can share this one." Su Ping placed their own serving to the side.
" Thank you Daddy."
l and Sal who had already begun to drool when the aroma of the al wafted through their noses, hurried over before digging in.
" Nope, you promised you’d let work while you rested." linda stared at her husband who stopped her from reaching for the utensil. " This ti I’ll feed you."
linda didn’t know what to say yet when she saw him reaching for the eating utensil, She felt a strange sense of anticipation, her body unconsciously shifting closer to him, leaning into his embrace.
Su Ping was the one surprised this ti. He glanced at his wife who’s head was lowered as if she was too shy to et his gaze after taking such a proactive approach.
He chuckled lightly before proceeding to feed her. " Say Ahh."
" Honey... I’m not a baby~" linda’s lips trembled a little. Her eyes stared at him like soone who had been wronged.
" What’s so wrong with saying Ahh." Su Ping said, looking amused.
" Could you two please hurry on up, we’ve still got quite the ground to cover today." Su Ping and linda turned to see Rugard smirking at them from outside the cart, his hands holding up his head as if he was enjoying the show.
" Hey no need to get mad." Rugard retreated hurriedly when Su Pings tail ca swishing his way.
" I’m just reminding you both that we’re still on the run Incase you forgot. We don’t have much ti to spare." He calmly landed on his feet before waving his hand dismissively as he walked away.
Su Ping glared at him until he left, feeling indignant that this human had ruined such a perfect mont. But when he felt linda’s touch, urging him to continue. He cald down a bit.
They then finished their al before their caravan began moving once again. This ti, they kept moving forward for hours till the sun’s rays reached high noon.
"...?" Su Ping, who was laying beside linda, suddenly sensed sothing.
" Honey, is sothing the matter?" linda noticed her husband change in deanor.
" It’s nothing to be worried about. But i need to step out for a short mont." Su Ping left the cart and approached Rugard.
" You must’ve sensed sothing since you’ve co to et directly." Rugard said the instant he saw Su Ping approaching him. Su Ping nodded in reply.
" There seems to be another group up ahead." Su Ping said.
" Another group?" A look of confusion and doubt erged on Rugards face. " Are you sure you detected another group." Rugard asked, he found it hard to believe but, recalling how the demon was able to pick up on the goblins before they were even seen, he couldn’t help shifting towards the idea.
" Since we didn’t notice any sort of tracks, I’m guessing they must not want to be noticed." Rugard squatted close to the soil, tracing his fingers on it.
He knew that a group ant people traveling with either a cart or at least mounts yet, he couldn’t see any signs of people passing through here. The only tracks he could see where the tracks their own group left behind.
" Could they be dangerous..."
" I don’t think it’s wise to kill them without knowing who they are." Rugard said when he felt an ominous feeling coming from Su Ping.
" And when did I say we were going to kill them?" Su Ping said, secretly discarding his earlier thoughts.
" This is what we’re going to do." Su Ping then told Rugard what he had in mind, at first the necromancer was skeptical but after hearing what he had to say, he couldn’t help feeling that he underestimated Su Ping’s awareness.
" Just do as I say and we might just get out of this without having to enter any unnecessary trouble." Su Ping walked away right after.
