Chapter 127: You’re joking, how’s that even possible?
Rugard tossed the Dark chain to the grave digger who grabbed it and pulled the Dark Sphere along, heading back towards the location the caravan was in.
" I’m not sure if you already know, but I’m guessing you at least figured out the sa thing." Rugard said as he approached Su Ping.
" You an the fact that this wasn’t a natural monster tide, but one orchestrated by soone." Su Ping replied, he had already suspected it the instant those goblins had pounced on him but now he realized that his conjecture was actually right from the very beginning.
Being familiar with those who acted zombified, Su Ping could easily tell that the monsters weren’t simply going on a rampage out of their own violation, it was obvious soone else or sothing, was behind this incident.
’ But who could it be?’
’ Maybe it was the Wolf King? But what could be it’s aim then? If it was trying to steal food, I would highly doubt that since it could’ve just led the beasts towards a human populated area and let them loose there.’
" I think I know who was behind this..." Rugard suddenly said peaking Su Ping’s interest.
" You know soone capable of causing this much chaos and devastation?... I find that truly hard to believe." Su Ping looked Rugard up and down refusing to believe that soone like him could actually be related to such an incredibly dangerous individual.
" Think all you want, the both of us have already t them." Rugard chuckled, realizing that Su Ping really hadn’t figured out who it was, he felt smug thinking that he was actually more quick witted than this so called Dragon King.
’ I’ve already t them? What could he be talking about, the ones I’ve t are the old man and his adventurer’s party...besides them there’s also that girl....’ Su Ping’s thoughts suddenly trailed off at the end as a look of realization showed on his face.
" Glad you finally figured it out, I was wondering when your empty mind would pick it up." Rugard chuckled before his expression turned amused. " You aren’t going to fly on over to them and kill her are you, after all, she is still nobility."
" Kill her, why would I kill her?" Su Ping turned towards Rugard looking perplexed.
" Well there’s that suffocating killing intent your currently emanating." Rugard chuckled even more thinking to himself that this demon really didn’t know how to hide it’s emotions.
Su Ping for the first ti in awhile showed a look of frustration and confusion. " But Why?!"
" Why could she have possibly done all this?! What sort of maddening reason would’ve forced her to cause all this blood shed and slaughter?!" Su Pings magical power surged, blowing forth a strong gust of wind that spread outwards. Even though he had seen his own share of arrogant, high class people with bad temper’s, this was a bit too much, not to ntion the other party wasn’t even considered an adult in his eyes.
His eyes glanced at all the corpses strewn all over the places, so of them were either unrecognizable or nearly obliterated. He found it hard to believe that all these lives were taken just like that yet he didn’t know why Esralda had done such a horrendous thing, even going as far as putting l, Sal and even linda, in danger.
" You’re actually this enraged because of this, Do you know the reason why the carriage crashed in the first place?"
" What are you trying to say..." Su Pings expression froze as a deep chill creeped outwards from the very depths of his heart.
" What else is there, That stuck up bitch actually attacked us before she was whisked away by her escort group. If only I had been prepared beforehand, we might not have crashed." Rugard sighed, shaking his head lightly.
" I don’t understand, your saying she did all that, for what?"
" Please don’t tell your coming down with so kind of moron syndro." Rugard eyed Su Ping warily. " Isn’t it obvious? You embarrassed her in front of of those adventurers so she decided to seek revenge."
’ How’s this revenge?! This is too excessive!’ Su Ping scread inwardly.
" Hey stop acting like you weren’t already aware, do you take for a fool? You demons do far more worse things so stop trying to feign that your so kind of saint." Rugard waved at him dismissively before walking ahead. He was completely exhausted and could use so rest.
" I don’t care what your aim is, just make sure it has nothing to do with . I’ve had enough dealings with those bastard nobles for one life."
’ Far more worse huh?’ Su Ping was silent, pondering Rugards words. In the end he realized that the human was actually right, though his own actions weren’t as bloody to this extent, in so ways, he had done even more cruel things.
’ Looks like I’m going to have to be even more careful from here on out. I can’t believe it’s taken this long to understand that this isn’t the red nation anymore.’ Su Ping said before following after Rugard.
’ In other for one to survive in any situation, You must... Adapt to the circumstances and find peace wherever you are." Su Ping took a soft breath to calm himself down, at the sa ti, a new resolve erged within his heart.
Rugard and him soon made their way back to the crash site, Su Ping then undid the Dark Sphere protecting his wife and kids.
" Daddy!" l and Sal ran towards their father, Su Ping smiled and crouched down, hugging them when they leaped into his arms.
" Did the scary monsters frighten you two." Su Ping carried them with one arm while stroking their hair to sooth the two of them. They both of them soon cald down under their fathers soothing hands.
" You ca just in ti." Su Ping gaze landed on linda who stood Infront of him with a silent look. She bit her lower lip as if she wanted to say sothing else but didn’t.
