Chapter 139: But it’s not proper!
" Hahaha young man please don’t see it that way, I’m simply trying to reward one of my daughters saviours." Viscount Edward laughed at Su Pings remark. " Co now, let’s head inside, I’m sure you must be tired from the journey."
Su Ping didn’t deny the Viscounts words. The 4 of them were then ushered into the Mansion alongside the Montgory’s. Su Ping made sure to stick close to linda and the kids incase sothing unexpected happened but, with the way things were going, he didn’t notice any oddities.
They soon reached a point where they parted ways and a maid was asked to take them to their resting place for the night. They followed after her until they arrived at an opulent corridor.
" Sir, This is your assigned room." The maid said politely while gesturing towards the room door Infront of them. " Now if you would please co with miss, I’ll take you to your own quarters..." The maid said but her voice stopped montarily when Su Ping placed a hand on her shoulders.
" Thank you for your help but we’re comfortable with sharing one room." Su Ping said with a smile.
" But Sir, it’s not proper for–"
" She’s my wife, I think I know what’s proper for her, not you..." The maid shivered when Su Ping leaned in and whispered coldly in her ear, her face paled in fright when she saw a nacing eye peaking at her, through the dark vail beneath his strawhat.
" As you wish sir, please enjoy your stay." The maid blurted out in a panic before hurrying off.
" Darling, don’t you think you might’ve been too hard on her." linda said with an awkward smile, she understood that the poor maid was just doing as she was told yet her husband had simply done as he pleased without care.
" She tried to separate from my wife, in my eyes that’s the gravest sin there is." Su Ping huffed, he opened the the door before they entered the room. Just like the parts of the mansion they had seen along the way, this room was equally lavish looking.
l and Sal instantly ran off in amazent to examine the room while linda gently sat by the edge of the bed.
The maid who had run off soon made her way to another side of the estate, where another room was. She knocked on the door before patiently waiting aside.
" You may enter." The maid stepped inside the room after gaining the owners approval.
Inside the room was Esralda who sat Infront of a wardrobe, gently brushing her hair before a mirror.
" Was there any issues..." Esralda asked without looking away from the mirror.
" Young miss, I’m sorry but the man vehently refused. In the end he chose to share a room with them against your wishes." The maid said, her tone still filled with hints of fear. Back then, she felt as if Su Ping’s voice were similar to that of a deadly beast ready to devour her whole.
" I see... You may leave now."
" As you wish young miss." The maid bowed politely before exiting the room.
Now alone in her chambers, a scowl erged on Esralda’s face, diminishing her beauty.
" Why is it so hard to get a mont alone with that commoner!" She said in an infuriated tone, her grip tightening round her brush. She felt frustrated because no matter what she tried, she couldn’t get a mont alone with him.
He had coldly ignored her back in the inn corridor and when she wanted the Su Ping to accompany her in her carriage, He was there with his wife and children, now that she had tried to separate them once more, her plan ended up failing again.
Esralda didn’t know what else to do to get his attention, this was the third ti she had ever felt so helpless before. The first being when she first t Su Ping and was easily subdued by him and the second being when she found herself in that nightmare.
" Is it so hard for that idiot to notice that I just want to talk to him." Esralda bit her lower lip in frustration. To think that she, who had always been the center of attention, with multiple suitors all aiming for her hand, would one day find herself on the receiving end.
" If only he wasn’t so engrossed in that woman and those two children, maybe I would have a chance." Esralda’s thoughts began to spiral within her mind. She began thinking to herself that the only reason he had been ignoring her so much was because he was too addicted to those 3.
’ If I want to get so ti alone with him, I’ll have to create a situation where those three can’t interfere.’ a determined light flashed past her eye’s as she began thinking of a plan that would fit her aim.
anwhile, back within the room, Su Ping, linda and the kids, had entered.
" You know you can’t let your emotions overtake you now that we’re here." linda said while patting the spot on the bed next to her.
" Who say’s i got emotional?" Su Ping said before sitting next to her. " I’m just worried they might try sothing..."
" But what if they aren’t." linda said looking doubtful.
" Excuse ?" Su Pings eye squinted beneath his dark Vail.
" The Viscount seed awfully welcoming and kind. I know the young miss did sothing cruel to us but maybe her entire family isn’t as bad." linda said with a hopeful smile.
" Are you sure your not coming down with sothing?" Su Ping placed the back of his palm on her forehead. linda’s face turned embarrassed the next mont.
"That’s not funny." She slamd her fists on his chest consecutively but Su Ping rely chuckled, to him it felt no different than being struck by balls of cotton.
He thewrapped his hand around his wife’s waist, pulling her closer, onto his chest. linda pouted when she felt the warmth of his chest, finally giving in and stopping her assualt.
Knock knock Knock.
" ...?" Su Ping turned his attention towards the door when they heard knocking sounds from the other side.
" Aren’t you going to answer it." linda glanced up at her husband, her eyes gazing at his face that wasn’t blocked by his dark veil.
Whenever the both of them were alone, Su Ping would always reveal his face to her, though the only ti he’d done it was when the only ones around were around were her, him and the kids.
" Why should I answer it, I was just about to have so fun with my wife." Su Ping gently lifted her chin up with a finger. linda smiled bitterly from his obvious flirting.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Su Ping frowned when he heard the sound of soone knocking on the door again.
" Just answer it, we can’t be sure if it’s important or not so it’s best to be cautious." linda patted her husband’s chest before sitting up straight.
Su Ping sighed before making his way towards the door under her watchful gaze.
’ If this is about sharing separate rooms...’ Su Ping felt his blood temperature rise at the thought.
" ...?" His irritation vanished and was replaced by confusion when he saw who it was at the door.
" I was wondering if you might have the ti to join for a stroll." Victoria smiled at the man Infront of her.
Su Ping eyed the woman on the other side of the door, up close, Victoria looked even more stunning, though Su Ping didn’t intend to, his gaze also went over her chest, her dress exposed her open cleavage that was easily visible since Su Ping was a 2m and she was around 1.8m.
" I’m afraid I’m busy at the mont, maybe at a later ti..." Su Ping brought himself to say before closing the doors.
" I understand but, please entertain my request, I promise I won’t take much of your ti."
" I was just curious towards the man that had supposedly helped in saving my younger sister." Victoria held onto his wrist before he could properly shot the door. Her phoenix like erald eye’s shimring with a strange allure similar to a maiden in distress.
" Darling why not entertain her request." At that mont, linda erged behind Su Ping. " It’s a pleasure to et you again lady Victoria." linda greeted the young woman with a smile.
" Like wise." Victoria smiled in return, inwardly pleased that this woman had acted in her favour.
" But we had plans..." Su Ping turned towards linda, He didn’t understand what she was playing at.
’ Why would she want to leave now when we’re in a foreign environnt. Isn’t she worried about what might happen if I leave?’ Su Ping’s mind was filled with several thoughts but he still couldn’t understand why his wife was trying to get him to spend ti with this heiress.
