Chapter 14: Advancing forward.
’ I’m not hungry, I’ll use this chance to begin to expand my territory. I need to get as strong as possible, completing the Lvl up mission is first priority.’
Su Ping was at a loss, the sheer number of targets on the map made it look more like a radar during world war 2.
Most of them were clustered together giving him a faint headache. This Abyss never seized to get back him.
’ First let’s start with the area around the den.’ Su Ping ca to a conclusion. No matter what, him becoming a conquerer was set in stone, the only thing he could do was make sure he didn’t die during this reluctant venture.
Su Ping closed the map and called Bai Ming Yao over. He asked her if she knew those living near her den.
" I know a great thing about them master, what would you like to know." The mont he heard her enchanting feminine voice, Su Ping was startled. He expected her to communicate with gestures but this wasn’t a loss at all but a great boon.
" Looks like I can converse with subordinates no matter their race." This new change would make it far more easier when interacting with other creatures, he wouldn’t need to worry about being misunderstood, he could just have his subordinates do the talking instead.
" aning I can have her act as an interdiary translator in the future when recruiting new units, Incase there’s a problem communicating verbally."
" Ming Yao, tell everything you know about them. Today we’ll be paying them a visit, the more I know about them the better."
" Master, are you planning on taking over their hos as well. " Her eyes bead, her tale swishing rapidly in excitent.
" Of course Master!"
Su Ping didn’t know whether to be happy that she was ready for a fight or worried that she was this enthusiastic about taking what belonged to others.
" It might not co to that. If they’re willing to submit then I won’t need to get my hands dirty." He replied back.
" I see..." Bai Ming Yao looked a bit disappointed but told him what she knew nonetheless.
From her explanation, Su Ping learned more than he expected. Within their area were 5 territory’s in total. 2 belonged to so fox demons in the North and East, one to so Imp demons in the west, another was the Abyssal blood tree sprouts region in the south and the last was a swamp region in the west as well, that belonged to an unknown beast she hadn’t seen face to face but she ntioned recalling that the pressure she felt from the area was far greater than hers.
" Is it a Lvl 2?" Su Ping asked but she shock her head in denial.
" It’s not at Lvl 2 but Lvl 1, Though it’s strength should be at Lvl 1 rare from what I could sense."
" But there’s nothing to worry about master, after all you’ve just been promoted to Lvl 1 rare tier as well."
" The only Lvl 2 in the area is a pig demon. It’s really troubleso to escape from when encountered, luckily we fox demon possess so skills related to illusion so it’s presence isn’t detrintal to ."
Bai Ming Yao raised her chin upwards with a prideful smirk on her face, placing her paw on her chest.
Su Ping rolled his eyes at her obvious shaless display, instead he was more concerned towards what she’d said.
" Rare tier... I can’t believe I forgot to ask the system what it ans for one to be a common, elite or rare unit. Who knows if they’re might be even more different tiers in lvls."
He tried asking Bai Ming Yao about it, She was surprised at first that he didn’t know, as if it was common knowledge.
" Everyone knows that there are levels and also tiers in each level, sotis the tiers can play a major role in battles more than the levels."
" I don’t know about the others but to beco an elite you need to be able to defeat ten units of common tier simultaneously."
"Sa goes for rare units, to beco one, that’s even harder, you need to possess the strength to defeat ten elite units simultaneously." She gestured with her hands widely as if trying to convey just how hard it was.
" Fortunately for , we fox demons are blessed with illusion magic so we reach Elite tier the mont we reach adult hood." Ming Yao’s expression was filled with pride towards her race.
" Moreover, the more tails we possess the higher our levels" she added.
" I’m just a one tail fox demon now but I’m sure it won’t be long before I beco a two tails master." Ming Yao puffed out her fluffy chest, her chin raised with pride.
Su Ping remained silent, letting her words sink in. Though it wasn’t much, she’d given him a good amount of information.
Su Ping decided to attack the fox demon territory first. They were one of the few demon species he knew so he figured he might as well take them down to strengthen his ranks.
" Master... You aren’t thinking of replacing are you." Bai Ming Yao asked, the strange look on her face left Su Ping montarily stunned but he regained his composure quickly.
" And why do you ask?"
" Well I’m not sure if master is aware but, We fox demons usually stay in pairs of two... Could you be looking for more females because you find inadequate."
’ is it because of last night? Did I perhaps make you uncomfortable during your slumber.’ Seeing the little fur ball looking worried, Su Ping didn’t know what to say.
He felt like he needed to say sothing to calm her down, they were just about to go on a raid, he couldn’t have his only military asset faltering in battle, now could he.
’ You did no such thing. Why would I abandon you when I need you to help build an army. Your hardworking and ticulous, No other demon could replace you.’
’ A..An a..army?’ Ming Yao stiffened her eyes widening a bit.
