Chapter 199: Reality can often be disappointing.
What?" Emilia was stunned yet confused.
" Back then, if I hadn’t stepped in, he would’ve still stopped on his own. From what I could tell at least." said the Wolf King.
" T-Then why did you?" Emilia asked, looking curious.
The Wolf King turned silent before chuckling. " Simple... Because I wanted to frustrate him."
" Huh?!" Emilia almost tripped but she managed to steady her feet and continue the sprint.
" A-Are you saying that’s the only reason?!" She stared wide eyed at the Wolf King.
" Of course? What more reason could I need?" She raised a brow.
Emilia sulked a bit, her head dropping low. The Wolf King glanced at her from the corner of her eyes, a light smile on her lips which vanished the next mont but her brows furrowed when she recalled what happened back then.
Back to the ti she had co to help Su Ping, in truth, she had arrived far earlier but her stopped in her tracks when she saw the mont the Minotaur landed the first blow on him.
’ That look on his face... It’s not sothing he would usually show.’
’ And knowing him, he isn’t the type to remain frozen without fighting back...’ The more she thought about it, the more unsettled she beca. Seeing him act in such a way, had left her worried for a mont.
’ Back then... I know it isn’t normal but... Why did I sll a hint of sadness coming off him.’
’ Was it that seeing the Minotaur had caused him to rember sothing from his past.’ She thought to herself. If only she knew how close to the truth she was.

Su Ping sat in the coachman seat of the cart, he felt a rush of wind graze his skin, with a calm look, he glanced at the back of the cart to see Emilia and the Wolf King seated within the cart.
Emilia unconsciously avoided his gaze, while the Wolf King smiled at him.
Su Ping sighed, he didn’t say a word but flicked the horse’s reigns and got the cart moving once more, back in the direction of the city.
The ride was silent, as Emilia refused to look at him nor utter a word, While the Wolf King didn’t have the urge to try to play with him. Her brows furrowed as she stared at his back. The sense she was getting off him was no different than soone in contemplation.
Well she wasn’t wrong because Su Ping was actually pondering about sothing.

The instant he had left the cave back then, Su Ping had walked into the zombie kings as well as his forces outside, waiting for him. He had a hint of approval in his eyes when he saw the unimaginable number of zombies they’d managed to create, their numbers reaching tens of thousands.
’ So this is the fool who forced to co all the way out here?’ Su Ping calmly approached the elite Lvl 3 zombie king who was nothing but a ragged looking slab of rotting flesh, with several horrendous wounds all over it’s body. The latter was pressed down on its face by two of Su Pings zombie kings. If it were before, it would’ve been able to resist but after the hellish beating a certain soone had dished out for him.
The sinister undead was forced to taste the soil pressing against it’s skin.
" I’m not one to beat around the bush, so you might as well tell ... Why?" Su Ping squatted Infront of the zombie king, his gaze calm yet their was an eerie glow in his eyes.
" H-How is this possible! You’re only a Lvl 2?!" The zombie king turned incredulous after sensing Su Ping’s aura.
" Is this so sort of joke?! Sending a Lvl 2 out to et ?! What happened to that wretched beast–" the words chocked in it’s throat when it felt Su Ping’s scaled hands clamp on its skull.
CRACK CRACK
"..?!!!"
Low cracking sounds began coming from its skull, and even so repulsive fluid began leaking through the cracks but a sizzling sound was heard the next mont when Su Ping ignited his hand with his Dark Fla.
Touching the zombie kings flesh might’ve been one thing but he absolutely refused to let it’s disgusting insides soil his hand.
Su Ping didn’t say a word but silently stared at the pitiful existence trapped beneath his palm.
" No-no! I’ll talk, I’ll talk. Just stop! I’ll talk!!!" The Zombie king scread hurriedly when it felt it’s undead life slipping away rapidly. All Su Ping needed was a bit more pressure to crush it’s head.
" Good choice..." Su Ping retracted his hand. He allowed the dark fla to burn on his hand a bit more before extinguishing it with a thought. " Now go ahead... Speak, tell what led you to go about targeting those human females?"
’ Just what is your goal...’ His eyes squinted as he waited for an answer.
The Zombie king flinched from his inquisitive stare, turning silent, if his rotten form had sweat glands, who knew how much he would’ve sweated by now.
" W-Well i–" The Zombie king opened it’s mouth to speak but Su Ping instantly sensed an unnatural magical fluctuation within it.
His slitted pupils constricted, ti seed to slow down rapidly. Strange ruins suddenly erged all over the zombie kings body.
’ Self destruction?!’ Su Ping was alard but he still responded thanks to his instincts.
" You two! Get back." The two zombie kings pressing down on the enemy were dumbfounded when their summoner hurled them flying tens of ters away with a single push.
’ No! It’s no use!’ Su Ping felt his stomach sink at the sight of his supposed army surrounding him. ’ I’m not sure how big the blast will be.’ he glanced at the cave that held the victims, feeling even more annoyed.
’ I can’t afford to leave it to chance!’
[Dark Sphere!] Su Ping conjured an instantaneous dark sphere around the zombie king, all this in less than the span of a second.
