Chapter 96: Humanity isn’t Human.
" Hurry!" linda whipped the horses reigns in a panic, the horse cart speed up even more through the dark smoke without caution.
The cart slamd into several things, breaking fences and so structures, eventually, one of the carts wheels cracked and rolled off.
The horse neighed in fear when the cart lost control and went hey wire, linda struggled to grab hold of reigns but the cart, moving at such speeds, suddenly tipped over.
linda, the horse and the cart crashed and tumbled a few ters. The cart broke apart before stopping in shambles on its side while the injured and frightened horse hurriedly got up before running off into the distance while letting out frightened cries.
" URRGH..." linda groaned in pain while placing an injured hand on her bleeding head while she lay’d on the ground.
Her vision was disoriented at the sa ti, her ear was a buzz with an insistent static ringing.
" l...Sal... Darling..." linda gritted her teeth and slowly got up on her feet while enduring the burning pain all over her body, her left vision dyed red from the bleeding wound on her head. She had several other bleeding injuries like bruises and wooden splinter’s piercing into her skin but she refused to stop, taking one step Infront of the other, her gait tipsy as she headed towards her house where the angry shouts grew louder and louder.
" Damned brats!" An angry man glared at the two kid’s standing Infront of the burning house with multiple bleeding injuries all over their body’s.
" Demon spawns!" An old woman threw another stone at Sal on his head, knocking him down but the little boy only coughed due to the smoke before standing back up and spreading his arms wide like his sister, as if the both of them were trying to stop the angry villagers from getting into the house, even with the blazing house behind them.
" Die already!"
" Abyssal monsters." The large crowd of villagers continuously hurled insults towards the two children while so outright stoned them without any ounce of remorse.
But just then, soone pushed several of them aside while making her way through the angry crowd.
" Hey! Watch it!"
" Damnit! You stepped on !"
" Wait a minute, aren’t you..." So in the mob complained about how rough she was but when they glanced at her, a few of them suddenly turned agitated as they realized who it was.
" It’s the demons wife!" A villager resembling a young man suddenly said, while grabbing linda by her hair.
" Let go of ! My children are in danger! How can you all do this, your’re all heartless! Wicked!" linda broke out into tears, while cursing at the villager’s but the young man’s hold on her hair stopped her from escaping. The very sa young man that she had first asked for help last night.
" You finally ca back." The young man’s eyes were filled with excitent yet his expression turned conflicted when the villagers quickly realized who she was and surrounded her.
Seeing their agitated expressions, the young man realized that he couldn’t get what he wanted, after all, Wouldn’t the other’s turn skeptical if he insisted on sparing the one housing the demon. But then an idea suddenly ca to his mind.
" See this everyone! The demon worshiper has finally returned. To think that our blessed village had actually been accommodating soone so evil and wicked." The young man said, his words further agitating the villagers.
After linda had left the village, he had co over to her house to begin his plan to blackmail her but when he saw the sleeping Su Ping, he panicked and alard the villagers.
l and Sal had heard the commotion and ca to save their father but the angry villagers only vented their anger out on them as well.
linda suddenly recalled Miss Finley, her heart plumted as she looked for her friend but she was nowhere to be found, Which made her even more worried whilst helpless to do anything.
" How dare she try to kill us all."
" I say we burn her with the children!"
" Kill the entire family!"
" Burn them all!" Another suggested, one by one, their angry voices filled the air as each and everyone of them suggested for her to be killed, seeing this, the young man’s lips subtly curled into a wicked grin.
" I believe ending her life is too rciful of a punishnt! After all, Why should we forgive soone who almost brought unimaginable harm to our village! I say we torture her till she begs for death."
" Agreed! The Evil witch should be tortured for her sins!"
" Let’s make her wish for death!"
" Torture the witch!"
" Hahahaha, I’m glad everyone agrees! I promise I’ll be sure to make her beg for death because of her cris." The young man said while pulling linda’s body close to his, wrapping a hand around her waist, pressing her perky rear against his little brother, the sweet sensation almost making him groan out loud.
" Let go off !" linda glared at the young man but true to his stature, she found herself completely powerless against his grip, unable to break free.
" Mommy... Daddy’s still inside."
" Mommy please save daddy." l and Sal urged their mother with tear filled eyes, they tried approaching her but the blazing flas caused them to retreat in pain.
" Let go off !! Can’t you see that their in pain!"
" Soone please save my children!" linda felt her world breaking apart, her mind in shambles as she pleaded yet non of the villagers showed any hints of sympathy, so of them even had looks of anticipation as they watched the dark sight.
" For your evil sins, you shall watch as they’re burned along with that demon!" The young man said, his words attracted the approval of the villagers.
" Hahahaha, good thinking, who knows if these little monsters were spawned through her
by that demon."
" I always knew there was sothing strange about that enforcer knight!"
