The battle dragged on for a bit, but the mont that Aren summoned his shadows, they managed to handle the situation easily, ripping the hands off everyone and destroying the bracelets.
After that ca the real difficult aspect, killing everyone that was there. Even if they had been mutated into creatures, they had been human before.
Aren stood looking at the pile of bodies that they had amassed on the ground. He frowned.
"What’s going on?" he muttered.
"Soone is doing sothing, and whatever it is, it isn’t good." Luka stated. He had his hand under his chin and a serious look in his eyes. This was the first ti Aren had seen him serious.
"What do we do then?" Elena asked.
"They were heading to the center of the city," Luka said. He spoke like he had a realization, then he paused for a few seconds before speaking with a worried tone. "When Geisha died, his body was buried at the center of the city," he said.
Aren and Elena were shocked by this revelation.
"Master must be awakened," Elena muttered, as if figuring sothing out.
"Could it be they want to raise the Calamity Dragon Geisha?" Aren asked. They had all thought of it, but hearing him say it was a different thing altogether.
The realization was heavy and dangerous, because if that was the case, then this was a massive issue no matter how one looked at it.
"Let’s head to the center of the city, and then we’ll know what’s happening," Luka suggested.
"That makes sense," Elena replied.
"Hey, before we go, how about I make this lot leave the tournant?" Luka said in a teasing voice, expecting so sort of reaction from Aren, but rather it was Elena that spoke.
"You’d probably die before you do that."
"Tch, whatever," he said.
Aren walked off to go and relay the information to the rest before they had to leave.
After gathering everyone, they made their way to the center of the city. When they arrived, they were stunned by what they saw.
Standing at the center of town were more than a hundred of these mutated awakened, all surrounding the statue at the center of the town. It was a statue depicting the fall of Geisha after he was killed by the War God. It acted as a tombstone in a way.
The mutated surrounded the statue, all chanting the words, "The Master must be awakened."
"This doesn’t look good," Luka stated as they observed from a roof in the distance.
"What do we do? We don’t even know what the situation is or how they plan to awaken Geisha," Elena said.
"I believe Geisha is kept within a tomb underground," Zero spoke up, pulling the curious gaze of the others. She shrugged. "I read the details from sothing my dad once kept. There was a massive tomb created for Geisha," she explained, speaking like it was ant to be common and easy to find knowledge.
"Why would they make a tomb for the destroyer of humans?" Aiden asked.
"Tombs are used to preserve a corpse," Kira stated blankly.
"That ans they wanted to preserve the corpse of Geisha," Elena said. She groaned slightly, seeing the route that the story was developing. It wasn’t looking good.
"Geisha was killed and buried in hopes that one day his body would be used for sothing, but now soone wants to awaken it and is using those awakened to do it," Aren said. His eyes turned to slits, his mind running at full speed to find out what could be the way that they wanted to do this.
Then an idea ford in his mind.
"I need one of those bracelets," he said.
"Huh? What for?" Luka asked.
Elena looked at Aren. His face carried the expression of soone that had sothing planned out.
"Alright," she said, and without warning she leaped off the roof, then used her gravity to fly forward at a crazy speed.
"I like her," Zero stated. Kira frowned.
Elena flew down. While the mutated awakened were chanting away, she snatched one of them into the air fast, and before the others could know what was happening, she used her gravity, shooting herself into the air extrely fast.
When she was high enough, she ripped off the hand that had the bracelet and then tossed away the body. She flew back and landed on the roof, tossing the hand to the ground.
The hand tried to morph and start attacking, but Aren imdiately suppressed it with tendrils.
"Thank you, Elena," he said, before using the tendrils to take off the bracelet.
"What I’ll do next, I’m not sure how long I’ll be out for. I’ll put my life in your hands for a bit," Aren said, but before he did it, he summoned Flo. She imdiately created the illusion that none of them were on that roof.
"Alright." Aren took the bracelet. "Consu," he muttered, and imdiately the shadows burst out, consuming it entirely.
[DO YOU WISH TO SEE ITS MORIES]
"Yes."
Instantly Aren’s mind was snatched, pulled into a void that seed endless. There was no noise, no light. But then after falling for a while, he started hearing a voice. It said one thing on repeat.
"Awaken the Master."
"Awaken the Master."
Then Aren saw a light. He fell into the light. He now stood inside a small stone room. The air was extrely warm and the room had very high humidity. The walls looked wet and moist. There was only a wooden door in sight, no window.
Inside this room Aren saw a man sitting, hunched over a work desk, obsessively scribbling sothing away.
"Awaken the Master. Awaken the Master," he muttered away constantly.
Aren took a few steps forward, and then he saw it on the table, the entire blueprint to create those bracelets. But that wasn’t all, as he saw sothing even more terrifying on the table. Inside a jar was sothing that looked like flesh twisting and turning, like it was alive.
It gave off an extrely strange energy that sent chills through Aren’s spine.
