SSS-Ranked Surgeon In Another World: The Healer Is Actually OP! Chapter 346: The End
The cut from Sophie had been so impossibly clean... so overwhelmingly precise...
that even now the audience held their breath watching the mont replayed on the screen.
Lily’s eyes widened slightly.
Even she couldn’t stop herself from whispering softly.
"That’s so cool..."
Sophie’s calm presence captivated the entire theater.
But at the sa ti another question quietly surfaced among the audience.
Just monts ago, they had watched Bruce tear through thirty awakened recruits without hesitation.
To many of them, he had begun to resemble sothing frightening.
A ruthless force cutting down anyone who stood in his way.
Now Sophie stood before him.
A murmur spread through the crowd.
"Is he going to kill her too...?"
The tension rose instantly.
But the story did not unfold that way.
People still had this question when the narrator’s calm voice returned once more.
"And with that..."
"...the confrontation ended."
The movie reached its conclusion.
But strangely.
the atmosphere inside the theater had changed.
The people who once looked at Bruce and saw only a ruthless villain...
no longer seed so certain.
So were impressed.
So thoughtful.
So even quietly inspired.
And Lily...
simply smiled softly as she watched the final image fade from the screen.
Because regardless of how terrifying the Bruce on that screen appeared...
she knew sothing none of the others did.
That terrifying man... was still her brother.
The final image lingered on the screen for several quiet seconds.
Bruce stood in the frozen clearing.
Jean Frost stood before him, completely still.
The tip of the dagger rested lightly against her throat.
Neither of them moved.
Snow drifted slowly through the silent battlefield around them, the broken trees and shattered ground bearing witness to the clash that had just ended.
Then.
the screen slowly dimd.
The image faded as if the mory itself were dissolving.
Darkness swallowed the battlefield.
For a brief mont the entire theater remained completely silent.
No one spoke.
No one moved.
People simply waited.
Surely sothing else would happen.
Surely the story wasn’t over yet.
After all.
Sophie was still alive.
Across the vast theater, many viewers leaned forward slightly in their seats, their eyes fixed on the blank screen with quiet anticipation. They had followed the trial from beginning to end. They had watched Bruce carve his way through opponent after opponent with terrifying calmness.
Naturally.
everyone expected the final confrontation.
Bruce versus Sophie.
The clash between the two strongest figures shown in the entire trial.
But the screen remained dark.
Then, just as the murmurs of uncertainty began to stir faintly among the audience.
the narrator’s calm voice returned one final ti.
Soft.
asured.
Almost reflective.
"In the world of the Awakened..."
"...strength is not asured by victory alone."
The darkness on the screen slowly began to shift.
Faint drifting images appeared like distant mories surfacing from the depths.
Fragnts of the trial.
Monts that had defined the battlefield.
Donn Chitt appeared first, his massive axe raised high as he roared with unrestrained confidence.
The image shifted.
Aria stood with her hands extended, gravity twisting the ground beneath her feet as invisible pressure crushed the forest around her.
Another shift.
Jean Frost stood amidst a storm of ice, her blade glowing faintly as frost spread across the shattered terrain.
Then.
Claire’s crimson threads of blood weaving through the air like deadly ribbons.
Kai Stormblade dashing forward in a flash of lightning.
Luna Graymantle’s crushing gravitational force bending the battlefield itself.
And finally.
Bruce.
Walking alone through the forest.
Calm.
Silent.
The narrator continued.
"One hundred Awakened entered the trial."
"One hundred ambitions."
"One hundred stories."
The drifting images continued across the screen.
Broken weapons lay scattered across the forest floor.
Trees shattered by violent mana collisions.
Flickers of magic lighting the darkness of the battlefield.
"So sought glory."
"So sought survival."
"So sought to prove sothing... only they themselves could understand."
The cara drifted slowly across the remnants of battle.
Boot prints in the snow.
Drops of blood lting into the earth.
The faint glow of fading mana lingering in the air.
"Many fell."
"So rose."
"But in the end..."
"...the trial revealed sothing far more important than victory."
The images slowed.
The drifting mories faded one by one.
Until only one final scene remained.
Bruce stood quietly in the forest.
His daggers were lowered.
The battlefield around him had fallen silent.
"...it revealed the truth of the Awakened."
The narrator paused.
Then finished calmly.
"That behind every power..."
"...behind every blade..."
"...behind every miracle..."
"...stands a human being."
The screen went completely dark.
A single title slowly appeared.
THE AWAKENED TRIAL
The music faded gently into silence.
For several long seconds, the theater remained perfectly still.
Then.
the murmurs began.
People leaned toward one another in their seats as whispers filled the room.
"That’s it?"
"So what happened with Sophie?"
"Did they fight?"
"Did they end the trial together?"
"They just ended it like that?"
So voices carried amusent.
Others carried frustration.
But most simply carried curiosity.
The abrupt ending had clearly worked exactly as intended.
Conversations began to ripple across the theater as people tried to piece together what the unseen ending might have been.
Beside Bruce, Lily blinked slowly as the lights in the theater gradually brightened.
Her empty popcorn bucket rested quietly on her lap.
At so point during the movie she had finished every last piece without even realizing it.
Ash sat curled beside her seat, its tiny wings tucked neatly against its body as it let out a soft satisfied chirp.
Lucy stretched slightly in her seat, letting out a quiet breath as the tension she had unconsciously held during the final scenes finally released.
"Well," she said with a small amused smile, "that was... intense."
Sophie nodded lightly beside Bruce.
"It’s a nice movie."
Her tone carried genuine appreciation.
Bruce glanced sideways at her.
"Nice?"
Sophie’s lips curved faintly in amusent.
"Very entertaining."
Lily suddenly turned toward Bruce, her eyes shining with excitent.
"Big brother!"
Bruce looked down at her.
"What?"
"You looked so cool!"
She imdiately mimicked a slashing motion with her hand, her voice filled with admiration.
"Especially when you fought those thirty people!"
Bruce blinked once.
