"Calling what?"

Killian asked, genuinely curious.

He hadn’t listened to the comntary after the first "Entranceeee!" and he rushed out of the stage when he finished the fight.

"Bleeding Sun," Evelyn muttered, amidst chuckles.

"Or The Reaper, which I think is cooler. I wouldn’t be a surprise if forums are already blowing up. They are no pictures though, so you are safe."

Killian blinked. "Bleeding what...? Reaper? That’s dramatic."

"It fits," Evelyn closed the distance between them, but she stopped an arm’s length away. "I an, I nad you Grim Reaper but you only picked Grim. I believe the other part is finally coming back to bite ya."

She reached out, as if to touch his shoulder, then pulled her hand back and started walking away. "Of course, it’s the initial surprise at how skilled you are. When the other matches start, it will fade."

Killian humd, watching her leave.

He looked up at the ceilings. Once again, his reputation had skyrocketed to heights that were only attained because of the Void Elent. His Fire elent was less impressive but still the only elent he could proudly show.

"I also haven’t gotten a new Fire Skill in a while because I keep using the Void to fight," he muttered to himself. He looked down, and found Evelyn wasn’t in front of him.

He pushed his hands into his pockets and continued moving. He reached an intersection and looking at either paths, there was still no sign of her. A small frown crept to his face.

"Is there so kind of portal here?" He could feel mana swirling at a point but he couldn’t tell from what direction. He stretched his hand forward and his fingers vanished in plain sight.

"Wow."

Killian withdrew his hand when he heard a sound. It wasn’t Evelyn. "Who is there?" he spoke carefully.

The air right in front of him warped and a slender fair hand stretched out of it. The nails were manicured and the fingers were slim so Killian stepped back on instincts. ’A girl?’

"Co on in." The voice spoke again. "This is a private defense system for the penthouse area. Completely harmless. Nobody usually notices but you are quite perceptive, aren’t you?"

She sounded like a young lady in her mid-twenties so Killian was more at ease. He walked into the portal and felt a quick cold touch, before it was gone and he was at the other end of the portal.

There wasn’t much change from the other side, just fewer vases barricading the wall and staircases leading to different quarters. He spotted Evelyn still walking ahead.

"Thank you." He turned to where the lady was supposed to be.

There was no one but a small white cloak.

Then a hand stretched out of it, and waved. "You are welco, young Warden. Have a nice day."

That reminded him of the black cloaked boy that had asked him for his blood. He had assud that it was a small man but seeing this, he realized it was a reflection mirror that crossed dinsions.

He stood over the cloak, checking its chanics from side to side. It was really just a normal cloak, but inside could hold a crystal mirror that served as a portal from where the User was.

"Do you need anything else, young Warden?"

Killian stepped back, and shook his head. "No."

The lady chuckled softly. "Well, then. Have a nice day."

The cloak remained afloat, nothing holding it upwards. Killian slowly backed away and continued towards the path Evelyn had taken. She still walked ahead without looking back.

He hastened up. "Evelyn, where exactly are you going to?" He wanted to ask earlier when she picked the first button heading to the penthouse. "Aren’t you also..." he trailed off when he realized.

Evelyn stopped at large door.

Killian’s breathing hitched. "Evelyn?"

Her figure glitched and faded. He stepped away but his back hit sothing hard behind him. He didn’t turn to see what it was.

Since he walked into the portal, he could tell that Evelyn wasn’t close to him but since he could see her, he assud he must’ve been overthinking it.

If anything, her subtle perfu scent should’ve lingered in the places she passed but nothing did.

"I walked right into that one, didn’t I?"

A familiar voice sighed behind him. "You very well did. I didn’t think you’d just follow a pretty girl into a path you weren’t familiar with."

"She is my friend. Why wouldn’t I trust her?" Killian looked behind him, and frowned. It was the nice older boy whose friend were jerks. He rolled his eyes. "So, where is the girl?"

"Of course, I didn’t do anything to her. I just tweaked the coordinates of her expected location after she crossed the portal with you." The older boy said, strolling ahead.

"She was also sent a wrong text, thought to be from your leader so she assud the top floor was her expected location. She’s quite dumb not to double check—"

"You deceived her. Be happy about it, but don’t go talking shit about her." Killian shut him down imdiately. "Coordinators should have not force people to do their bidding."

They were all new to the environnt and Evelyn wouldn’t think anyone would hack her texts and send her wrong coordinates.

’This is exactly why I try to leave her and Juda out of my business.’

’And it seems the coordinators in the academy have no class.’

The older boy stayed silent before he humd.

"The senior coordinator wishes to speak to you. Let’s go."

Killian watched him walk ahead quietly, not making a sound as he moved. Even when he t him first with his friends, Killian unconsciously noticed that there wasn’t a sound when he left.

It was eerily similar to how he had t Mr. Jenovan the first ti.

"Is this a reflection caused by a singular shard?" He asked out loud, and he lowered his head to check for a piece of crystal that might be responsible for the reflection escorting him.

He couldn’t find it but he felt a ball of mana narrowed to a point. It just be invisible to the eye but still very much there.

’Now that I have to answer about that realm. I should start reciting potential excuses.’
