Wilderness:

The team dispatched by the Heath Family and the Central University 15 had entered the dangerous area that used to be a chemical plant before the mutation era.

Not long after, they encountered the corrupted beasts stronger than the ones that road in the wilderness.

This dangerous area had given birth to the dangerous Corrupted Beasts because of the pure natural energy in the environnt here.

Before coming here, the High Tier Beast Tars had their doubts.

Now, they were facing the challenges themselves. They were verifying the report submitted by the previous exploration team.

Though they managed to kill every corrupted beast that they ca across, they understood the fact that it was impossible for the previous exploration team to return without casualties.

More importantly, they had yet to explore the Black Lake, which was reported to have taken multiple lives.

The Heath Family Beast Tars and the University Beast Tars were conducting their individual investigations. They had casualties on both sides.

Only thorough investigation could provide answers to the families of the victims.

It didn't take much ti for the University Beast Tars to reach the Black Lake. They were High-Tier Beast Tars comparable to Departnt Instructors.

Instead of teaching activities, they undertook a lot of missions. Dean Carolyn had warned them about the Black Lake.

So these Beast Tars were cautious when approaching this place. There were six in total, headed by a veteran old man. His gaze was locked onto the endless Black Lake.

Upon seeing the Black Lake, he felt goosebumps all over his body. The next second, he warned the others not to take a step forward.

The old man was aware of Jeremy Night's report because Dean Carolyn had asked him to read the report completely. At that ti, he was amused by the Tier-1 Beast Tar's report. He felt that so of the things ntioned were exaggerated.

But right now, he felt foolish. He realized that the things ntioned in that report were true.

"That kid is not joking at all," the old man said to himself.

He did feel ominous upon looking at the Black Lake. When it ca to the Hybrid Crocodile, there were no Corrupted Beasts in the vicinity.

The old man was cautious. He ordered the others to investigate this place but not to get close to the Black Lake. They were not sure whether any beasts above Tier-5 lived in this lake.

...

Central University 14:

The news of Jeremy Night's decline of the challenge spread across the University. Everyone knew about it. The First Year Attack Departnt Beast Tars were spreading it enthusiastically.

Their Departnt Representative, Roo Barrett, was on cloud nine. He had expected a tough challenge, but it turned out Jeremy Night didn't want to fight him in the first place.

If the news reached the Seniors, they wouldn't dare to make fun of him and his departnt. Hereafter, they could wander around with their heads held high.

...

Elental Departnt:

When May Lindsay heard the news, she was left speechless. Though she didn't care about the duel, sowhere in her heart she was interested in the duel results.

But to her surprise, Jeremy Night declined the challenge. Worse, he had admitted defeat in front of everyone. She sensed sothing was wrong.

According to her family's intel, Jeremy Night could really kill a Tier-3 Beast. Roo Barrett was no match for him, so she didn't understand the reason behind Jeremy Night's decision.

Suddenly, she thought of sothing.

"Does he want to be low-key?" she asked herself.

This explained many things to her. If this was true, then she had no idea of how to expose this as well.

Similarly, the other departnts were shocked by the news as well. Jeremy Night was commonly acknowledged as the Strongest Beast Tar among their First Year.

Yet he didn't accept the challenge from Roo Barrett. Was he afraid? This incident caused many people to raise questions about Jeremy Night's strength.

They could only discuss among themselves, but no one dared to go and confront Jeremy Night about this incident. This incident not only left the students speechless.

Even the Departnt Instructors were stunned. Unlike the students, the Departnt Instructors knew for a fact that Jeremy Night was strong, comparable to average Tier-3 Beast Tars.

They had seen him slaying many Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts during the beast invasion. So they thought Jeremy Night was not at all interested in fighting against other students.

They were not a match for him at all. Those who knew the truth didn't underestimate Jeremy Night. Rather, they beca more cautious.

The following day,

Jeremy woke up as usual and started his daily routine. After an hour, he sat cross-legged on the ground to practice the Inner Healing thod.

At the sa ti, he noticed that his unknown egg lifeline beast was absorbing the natural energy from the surroundings.

Seeing that, he started running the Inner Healing thod as well. The practice lasted about a few hours. When he was done, he stood up and went to take a bath.

About 30 minutes later,

Jeremy wore the uniform and began to get ready. He had already thought about his schedule for today. He was going to ask Instructor Jacob whether any suitable footwork thod was available for him to learn.

All the thods were left behind by predecessors. They developed the thods based on their own talent and the natural energy in the surroundings.

Jeremy thought that his Supre Combat Body Talent encompassed anything related to physique, such as strength, speed, and other aspects.

After getting ready, he left the residence and strode towards the Departnt Building. While walking, he couldn't help but think about Roo Barrett and others.

He had declined their challenge and accepted defeat in front of everyone, but he doubted whether people would let him go just like that.

Sigh!

With a sigh, he resud walking towards the Departnt Building.

Shortly afterwards,

He arrived at the building to et the curious gazes of the Beast Tars from the dicine and Machinery Departnt.

He imdiately knew what this was about. People cared more about others' lives than their own.
