The Tier-4 Centipede Beast struck the blade with its hind legs. Jeremy felt the powerful recoil effect. The next second, his body darted backward before hitting the ground.

There was a chance that Jeremy Night had booked a hotel in the city. He must have been going back and forth from the hotel. It would be convenient.
Then they decided to target him once he returned.

Soon, he reached the City Gate. He then showed his ID to the guards before entering the city. He thought he was safe. A smile appeared on his face.
But he felt killing intent the next second. The smile on his face disappeared. His heart raced. He was standing near the City Gate, unsure of how soone dared to release killing intent towards him.
Jeremy didn't show any reaction but continued to move forward and ca to the street.
Then he saw soone looking at him from a distance. The person was hiding behind the restaurant and taking peeks at him.
For safety, he took out his black sword and held it in his hand. He wanted to book an air cab, but he didn't know why he was standing alert. He had a feeling that the suspicious person might attack him.
Bang!
The suspicious person took out his sniper rifle and shot at the target. He was one of Javier's n. He didn't even seem afraid of the City Guards.
At the sa ti, Jeremy's heart tightened. When he heard the booming sound, he brought his sword up to block the attack.
He thought death was closer. It was going to be over for him.

Suddenly, he felt his mind beco clear. The world in front of him slowed down. Then he raised his head and saw a bullet coming toward him.
He moved his sword and showed the flat face to deflect the bullet. It all happened within a second.

The bullet hit the katana blade before dropping to the ground.

Taking advantage of the situation, Jeremy retreated and headed back to the City Guards. The City Guards, who were checking the IDs of the Beast Tars, were shocked upon hearing the gunfire.
Then they saw soone rushing toward them.
At the sa ti, the sniper left the area. He knew it was impossible to continue the attack.

The City Guard ca outside, hearing the shot. Then he and his team rushed to his side.
The Beast Tars and others imdiately scattered from the area. They weren't going to stick around while danger was present.
