Worm Beast Territory:
A minute earlier,
The appearance of humans had alard the worm beast sleeping underground. One by one, the worm beasts woke up from their crawling positions.
The size of the worm beasts varies. There is a huge worm beast over 50 ft that is still in a deep sleep. Those under 50 ft woke up after sensing the changes on the surface.
Among them, there is also a Tier-5 worm beast that went to City A earlier. The worm beast, with little intelligence, felt hatred towards the humans above.
But then it was currently lying in a yellow fluid pool. Unlike water, the yellow liquid has high viscosity. But it is the result of mutation. It's one of the natural energy treasures.
This high-viscosity natural energy was like a lake when it first appeared in the area. Later, a mutated worm beast started living in it.
As ti passed, more worm beasts gradually appeared. The whole place beca their territory. Eventually, the lake-sized yellow liquid treasure was reduced to a small pool.
It can't accommodate that many beasts at one ti. The size of the Tier-5 worm beast has occupied most of it.

At this ti, several worm beasts were enraged. They wanted to eat the humans who disturbed their sleep. The Tier-5 worm beast chose to act.

It began to move upward from the treasured yellow pool. It started to create pathways using its mouth. It drilled all the way to the top.
The surface of the area is not an open field but is occupied by dead trees. Coincidentally, Jeremy was standing behind one of the trees, unaware of the danger below.
The leader walked up to the tree.
Jeremy retreated backward. He didn't know why his sense of crisis was tenfold right now. He was also looking at other beast tars, who were looking at him.
They were sure that he was going to die here.
"What's wrong with the worm beasts?"
"Don't tell the Governor has wiped out the whole beast," Jeremy thought before bringing his katana forward.
"Don't try; you are going to die anyway," the leader said as he walked past the dead tree.

The next second, the ground split open with a booming sound.
The middle-aged man who was the leader of the rcenary Team was caught off guard by the sudden changes. Just as he was about to do sothing, he saw a wide mouth swallowing him before death.

The whole body of the Tier-5 worm beast erged from the surface at full speed. Jeremy was in its blind spot. It failed to see him.
Instead, the worm beast darted toward the four Tier-4 Beast Tars. Seeing the number of beast tars, the worm beast felt greed.
"Our leader is gone!"
"It's a Tier-5 worm beast; run!"
"Let's go separately if you don't want to die."
"The kid is alive!"
"But he will die anyway. Let's escape."
The rest of the beast tars discussed in low tones before fleeing.
Swoosh!
The Tier-5 worm beast was chasing after them.
anwhile, Jeremy sighed in relief. He had once again co close to death. He then decided to leave. But before he could do that...
Boom!
The land split open a few hundred ters behind him.
Jeremy's expression changed drastically upon seeing that. He didn't want to be chased down by a worm beast again.
This ti, if multiple worm beasts attacked the city foundation, the consequences would be disastrous. He was not going to do sothing foolish again.
So, he chose to flee in a different direction. Yet the ground beneath split open. Out of instinct, Jeremy used the movent technique to escape.
Tud!
Just as his balance crumbled, he tripped over and fell into the underground hole dug open by the worm beast earlier.
Jeremy felt a sense of death hovering over his head. His whole body was falling down inside the hole.
Thud!
Jeremy thought he was going to die. But he ended up falling into sothing sticky and dense.
There was no light whatsoever—only a dim light coming from the surface, which shed small illumination.
Jeremy tried to move his body. He wasn't able to do it. He thought his body was stuck in the mucous liquid of the worm beasts.
He didn't know whether it was dangerous or not. So he wanted to escape from this place.
Buzz!
The unknown egg lifeline beast reacted. For the first ti, it felt like a powerful natural treasure. It reacted and started to absorb the high-viscosity liquid around its contractor.
Jeremy, who was trying to move, paused his movents upon sensing the unknown egg lifeline beast's reaction.
"What's going on?" Jeremy muttered to himself.
Then he saw the natural energy begin coming from the mucous substance. He was left speechless. He didn't understand why natural energy was coming from this thing.
He knew his lifeline beast was picky. It only chose high-quality substances. Seeing that the unknown egg was absorbing the energy from this thing made his heart stir.
He cald down his turbulent heart. He started to think logically. If this thing was helpful to the unknown beast egg, then it was useful to him as well.
So he cast aside negative thoughts and began to practice the inner healing thod in this pitch-black darkness.
Right after, he confird that the mucous substance was actually a natural treasure. He beca excited. He then focused on practicing this thod.
Buzz!
The changes in the yellow liquid treasure were felt by the sleeping worm beasts. They had just gone back to their sleep while one of their mbers went after the enemy.
Now another disturbance had made them even crazier.
The worm beasts began to move toward their treasure pool.
Just as they got closer to the place, they bumped into a barrier placed around the treasure pool by the unknown beast egg.
