Wilderness:
Jeremy's speed was fast. He couldn't believe the speed at which he was moving. Yet he knew the danger following him. He realized that a terrifying worm beast was chasing after him.
Last ti, it was the Tier-5 Worm Beast. Now, he had caught a glimpse of the beast while running. The humongous size of the beast sent chills down his spine.
Swoosh!
He continued to flee without turning back. He had led those killers to the worm beast's territory earlier. Now that the killers were gone, the worm beast was after him.
Jeremy was moving in the direction of the forbidden area. He could have led it towards the City Gate so that City Governor Elton could slay the worm beast again.
But he didn't want to do that. If it happened once, it could be called coincidence, but if the worm beast ca again, the city administration would definitely launch an investigation.
Last ti, he had escaped sohow, but he knew it wouldn't happen again. Besides, he didn't want to put the lives of others in danger.
If his assumption was right, then the beast following him from behind could be above Tier-5. If such a beast appeared near the City Gate, it could imdiately attack the city.
Before the rescue arrived, the loss of life could be great. So Jeremy didn't plan on going to the city. The only thing that could kill the beast behind him was the black lake of the forbidden area.
He had been using that place to his advantage, but he was careful not to explore the black lake. This ti, however, he didn't have a choice. He had to face the death crisis.

On the other hand, the surface was calm without disturbance, but the Tier-6 Worm beast was moving underground without hindrance.
It could sll the scent of its treasure. The beast was not going to let the human thief escape. The Tier-6 Beast had considerable intelligence.
It was aware that the disappearance of its treasure had to do with the beast tar thief.

Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone left their cave hiding and started going back to the City Gate. Betsy was clever. She had marked their journey route.
Thanks to this, their return journey would be smooth. She was just worried about Jeremy Night. She didn't know who was after him and why.
She could only go back to the university and inform the higher-ups.
Daniel Stone was worried as well, but he was not showing it. After a long ti, they had entered the wilderness as a team, yet Jeremy Night had t with danger again.
Last ti, it was against the Tier-4 corrupted rat beast; this ti, it was against beast tars. Daniel was aware that among the rcenary Team, there were bad groups as well. They did plunder and kill.
He thought that Jeremy had offended one such group.
"Let's go; only the higher-ups can help Jeremy Night," Betsy uttered. She could tell what was on Daniel's mind.
"Okay," Daniel replied.
Ti passed.
At dusk, the duo reached the City Gate. After entering the city, they didn't waste any ti. They quickly entered a flying taxi to go to the university.
They had tried contacting Jeremy Night a couple of minutes ago, but there was no signal. This indicated that Jeremy Night was still in the wilderness; he had yet to co outside.
It made them anxious. It was clear to both of them that Jeremy Night was hiding from the killers.
About 20 minutes later,
They returned to the university. Upon returning, they didn't even go to the Departnt Building; rather, they waited near the administration building before calling Instructor Jacob.
Jacob Henry answered the call. Knowing that the duo had sothing to discuss in person, he felt uneasy. He knew sothing was up.
Otherwise, he knew Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe wouldn't react like that.
Swoosh!
He quickly left his office and went to et the duo. Upon arrival, he imdiately asked, "What now?"
Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe looked at each other. They were speechless. They wondered how he knew.
"Don't be surprised!"
"Ever since I beca your instructor, I'm used to your troubles. It would be sothing if you guys didn't encounter any problems," Jacob said with a sigh.
His furrowed eyebrows showed that he was tense as well.
Betsy stepped forward and told him the details.
A few minutes later,
"Jeremy Night is facing a life-or-death crisis?"
"A killer group?" Jacob's expression changed drastically.
He knew who was after Jeremy's life. Last ti, two Senior Students had attempted kidnapping. If their families were involved in this plan, it would be troubleso.
Jacob didn't show any clue on his face. The matter of senior students' actions was hidden. Otherwise, it could cause panic and distrust among the first years.
"You guys don't tell anyone. I'll go and et the departnt head." After saying that, Jacob left the place.
Daniel Stone and Betsy Lowe felt relieved. They were just Tier-1 Beast Tars; they couldn't help in this matter, which made them anxious and helpless.
They didn't know who was targeting Jeremy Night.
"Betsy, do you know the enemies of Brother Jeremy?" Daniel asked.
Betsy frowned. As far as she knew, Jeremy Night had two rivals before joining the university, but their status was the sa as Jeremy's.
So she thought it was soone else.
"Let's part ways. We can only improve ourselves and help him when he needs it," she said before parting ways.
Daniel sighed. He could tell that she was hiding sothing.
He clenched his fists in helplessness, but her last words echoed in his ears. He chose to put in more ti and effort into his practice.
At the sa ti, Jacob recognized the urgency. Compared to the things happening in the city, the wilderness was more dangerous. If soone wanted to eliminate Jeremy Night, it would be the perfect place.
On the way, Jacob Henry sighed. He knew that Jeremy Night's appearance had stirred a lot of people. Despite his identity, there were people who were not afraid of targeting him.
Soon, he reached the departnt head's office.
