Class:
"Don't think too much about it. I don't see other first years going in large numbers to do missions in the wilderness. If you guys want, then you can do missions near the city gate."
"But I'm personally against it," Jeremy said to them.
Hearing that, both of them were stunned. They didn't expect Jeremy to say this. Before they could speak, he said, "I suspect the senior students might do sothing."
"Here, they are obstructing us. Yet they can't go ahead with their plans because of the rules. But the wilderness is a place without rules."
"Many beast tars die each year. But it's hard to tell whether everyone ended up dead because of the corrupted beasts," Jeremy said in a stern tone.
Gasp!
Daniel snatched a breath of icy air. He forgot about the dangers. Now he only realizes that he has overlooked a major problem.
A fear flashed in his eyes as he thought about it.
"You did it right!"
"If not for your tily warning now, maybe we would have gone for the mission," Betsy said with relief.
"Just be patient for the ti being. I'll take you guys on the mission once I'm clear about the enemy," I said to them.
Hearing that, both of them felt at ease. But they also knew they had to improve their strength as well.
"Alright, I'm going to the joint training facility. If you need anything, you guys can call ," Jeremy said.
"Brother Jeremy, wait!"
"I'm coming," Daniel said.
"You guys can go. I have so other matters to attend to," Betsy said.
Jeremy nodded to her. Then everyone exited the departnt building and parted ways, with Jeremy and Daniel striding toward the facility.
Whereas Betsy went to the library. She is studying about the queen bee lifeline beast these days.
Soon, Jeremy and Daniel arrived at the facility. Their appearance caused a small commotion. The students were facing pressure because of the senior students.
Most of the students were aware of Jeremy's prowess and track records. They were unwilling to offend him. Yet so people were harboring malicious intentions.
They couldn't fight against Jeremy Night. It didn't an that they couldn't trouble Daniel Stone.
Daniel felt many eyes pricking him with malicious gazes. Because of brother Jeremy's presence, he felt safe.
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, they entered the training room separately. In the spacious training room, they could run around to test their movent techniques.
They could even test their abilities and techniques on the dummies. Jeremy was aware of those malicious gazes, but he didn't take them seriously.
anwhile,
The other students looked at each other's faces, especially those who showed malicious intentions.
A heavy-set student from the Field Departnt said, "A 3rd-year senior made a generous offer to . All he wanted was for the mbers of the STRIKER Departnt to suffer."
"We can't target Jeremy Night. But we can do sothing against other mbers. Even if sothing happens, the senior has assured he will save ."
Hearing that, the other students expressed the sa sentint. Seniors from various departnts approached their juniors to make deals.
All they wanted was for the new STRIKER Departnt to disappear. It's a big thing. They are just Tier-1 Beast Tars. At least they can hinder the other two mbers of the STRIKER Departnt.
"Wait for Jeremy Night to leave. We will teach Daniel Stone a lesson," the heavy-set student said.
"But what if Daniel leaves first?" another student from the Control Departnt asked.
"Then we will hit him before he cries for help," the heavy-set student cracked a wide grin.
Others showed similar expressions. The other students heard their conversation, but none raised any questions against them.
They didn't mind teaming up against a single beast tar.
Ti went by.
Daniel Stone exited the room post-noon. He only did the morning session. He was not going to spend all day there.
He walked past another room, seeing that Brother Jeremy was still training. Daniel shook his head before leaving. But just then, a few people blocked his path.
Daniel's chest tightened. He slled trouble. Earlier, these people had looked at him with unkind gazes. Now they had decided to act against him.
"What do you guys want?" Daniel asked.
"I would like to learn one or two things from you," the heavy-set student said.
Daniel Stone's mouth twitched. He knew they were planning to hit him. Instead of running away from them, he decided to confront them.
Because he knew he couldn't go to the wilderness for the ti being. At least he could fight against them. But still, he didn't know whether it was good to take on everyone.
"Let's hit him," the heavy-set student said.
Swoosh!
The next mont, six students tead up to attack Daniel Stone. They knew the university rules—they couldn't use their lifeline beasts on campus to fight.
So they were simply using their brute strength.
Whack!
Daniel struck his fist at the nearest student's jaw. Then he turned around to fight the others.
Minutes went by.
He managed to strike a few people with his fists. But as ti passed, Daniel, who was giving the first few blows, was quickly forced to the receiving end.
The students tead up to land kicks on his body.
At the sa ti, so students who were on the sidelines started to take pictures. They began to post them online.
anwhile,
Betsy, who was at the library, heard the commotion from the students. She was taken aback because the library was a quiet place. No one dared to make noise here; it was against the rules.
But then she heard Daniel Stone's na.
She quickly turned around and asked, "What happened to Daniel?"
Her voice was low, but it reached everyone's ears.
"Daniel Stone is getting beaten by fellow students. Look at the pictures online," soone said.
Hearing that, Betsy quickly began to look at the online posts. Then she saw the horrific pictures. She knew Daniel and Jeremy had gone to train.
So she made a call to Instructor Jacob.
