City A (10th Zone):
Ti passed,
After completing the practice of the breathing thod, he started practicing the new sword move.
From the basic stances to footwork, Jeremy started paying attention to everything.
As ti passed, he swung the blade to improve the timing. At close range, he could strike the target faster than anyone else.
A few hours later,
He started practicing the distance and control. It was the interdiate stage of the sword skill.
Unfortunately, there was no puppet inside the room. If there were practice puppets, it would be good. So he continued practicing on his own.
As long as he could master this level of skill, there would be no opponent for him in close combat.
By that ti, evening had co. He exited the practice room. Then he went to the bathroom to take a shower.
The bath lasted for 20 minutes. After coming out, he changed into new clothes. Then he took the digital device to check out so online stuff.
But then he noticed that he had a call from Leader Gisela and Captain Sinag. Then he realized they must have known about his return.
But he couldn’t help but think of his parents and City C again. He had no other way to get updates. He should talk to Leader Gisela. Only she could find so way out.
Then he viewed news about the 14th Zone online. But those were not real-ti news. Only the trending stuff was appearing online.
So he decided to et her. He then called back. The call was connected. He learned that Team Leader Gisela was in her office.
He quickly got ready and left his room. He started heading towards Team Leader Gisela’s office. On the way, he ca across other mbers in the corridor.
They glanced at him. Their eyes were filled with surprise.
"Jeremy Night, when did you return?" one of the middle-aged n asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy paused his footsteps. He looked at them. He was surprised. Because he had not seen these four people before.
The middle-aged man who spoke earlier had tanned skin and brown eyes. He saw through Jeremy Night’s thoughts.
He said, "We are mbers of the 9th Team. We belong to the 3rd Squad as well."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night’s eyes flickered with understanding. He looked at the other three middle-aged n as well. They were slightly older than him.
So he smiled and greeted them.
"It’s nice to et you guys. But I have sowhere to go. We will et next ti." After saying that, Jeremy Night turned around to leave.
But the four Beast Tars had so plans in their minds. They looked at each other’s faces and smiled.
Seeing the disappearing back of Jeremy Night, they left the place as well.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night reached the Leader’s office. The door opened. He walked inside the room.
He saw Leader Gisela sitting behind her desk. Upon seeing him, she smiled and asked him to take a seat.
Jeremy sat in the chair. Leader Gisela decided to tell him about the events that had happened here. But before that, she decided to ask about him.
"How was your trip?" she asked.
Hearing that, Jeremy imdiately thought of City C. His expression turned serious. He started to talk about it.
As ti passed, Gisela’s expression changed as well. She didn’t expect the situation in City C to beco this serious.
"A small city is threatened by a Tier-6 Corrupted Beast," Gisela thought. She knew this news was serious.
What’s more? It was happening in Jeremy Night’s hotown. She was aware that Jeremy’s father was one of the City Governors there.
On the other hand, Jeremy Night took a few minutes to finish saying everything.
Gisela understood everything. She thought Jeremy Night must be waiting for updates.
She said, "I’ll talk to Head Neil about this matter. He must have a way to find out what’s going on there."
Hearing that, Jeremy sighed in relief. He knew Team Leader Gisela had taken this matter seriously. Especially since he had ntioned the wilderness. It was news that concerned other zones as well.
The vast wilderness stretched across everywhere. One part of the wilderness touched their 10th Zone. If sothing happened there, then it could reach their wilderness as well.
Gisela then collected her thoughts and began to talk about the things which had happened here.
Jeremy didn’t take it seriously. But when he heard that others were interested in knowing his strength and lifeline beast, he beca serious.
He didn’t expect people to notice him after the Beast Invasion.
"You must be careful. The other hostile organizations might be paying attention to this matter," she said.
Hearing that, Jeremy realized the seriousness of the matter.
He said, "I will pay attention to it."
Then they spoke about a few other things before ending the discussion. Jeremy Night left the place. He headed straight back towards his ho.
But not long after going inside his room, he received a call from Captain Sinag. Seeing that, he smiled and attended the call.
Sinag started speaking to him. Then he heard so interesting news from her. It was about news that had started spreading a few minutes earlier.
It was caused by the Beast Tars of the 9th Team’s 3rd Squad. Hearing that, Jeremy’s eyes flickered. Because he had just t them.
"They are spreading news that you are not that great. They say you killed Tier-4 Beasts out of luck. But these are only a handful of people."
"They weren’t present there during the battle," Sinag said.
"Alright, I’ll take care of this matter," Jeremy said.
Then they spoke about a few things before ending the call. Jeremy put his device aside. He decided to rest first.
He didn’t put the mbers of the other team’s 3rd Squad in his eyes. He didn’t think there were others who could kill a Tier-4 Beast apart from him.
So he closed his eyes and began to sleep.
anwhile,
This small disturbance was caused by the four Beast Tars who had t Jeremy Night in the corridor earlier. They were doing it for fun, to gain personal attention.
Because they disliked the surrounding attention towards Jeremy Night these days.
