Jeremy Night sighed in relief. The staff told him about the mission. It was they who posted the mission.
"What's your na?" the staff asked.
"I'm Jeremy Night," Jeremy said before showing him his digital ID.
The staff checked the ID before opening the blue virtual screen to verify. Soon, the information appeared on the screen. He saw that the patrolling mission was accepted by the person in front of him.
"Alright, I'll inform the Patrol Team Captain. His na is Gordon," the staff said.
Then he requested soone in his office to guide to one of their Patrol Team Captains.
A middle-aged man appeared. He started leading toward the area outside the huge city wall. After leaving the office, he followed the middle-aged man.

We exited the gate and stepped outside. There was a vast open land in front of . Jeremy could sll the wilderness all around. There were no other big cities ahead, except for human settlents.
Then he continued following the middle-aged man. He led him to a small building, which resembled a small outpost office of the patrol team.
When we got there, people who were inside the building spotted us. A burly middle-aged man walked outside.
"Gordon, this is the kid who accepted the mission," the middle-aged man said.
"Oh," the burly man raised his eyebrows. He had black hair and eyes and was wearing the patrol uniform. His gaze fell on the kid.
When he saw that the kid was just Tier-1, Rank 2 Early Stage, his eyes flashed with disdain.
"I was expecting at least a Tier-2 Beast Tar to co. What am I going to do with this Tier-1 Beast Tar?" Gordon said in a dejected tone.
Jeremy's eyes narrowed hearing that. It was their own office that posted the mission in their task hall in the first place.
Now this person is speaking like that?
"Captain Gordon, we posted the mission on the first year's task hall," the middle-aged man said with a bitter smile.
"What?" Gordon was shocked.
Then he imdiately understood it was their fault.
"If that's the case, nothing can be done now. You can leave. I'll introduce the kid to my team," Gordon said.
Hearing that, the middle-aged man smiled before leaving.
Gordon's gaze fell on the kid again.
"Hey, kid. What's your na?" Gordon asked.
"My na is Jeremy Night," Jeremy replied.
"Good, follow into the room. The team has gone to take rounds. They will co back later. Until then, you can sit and relax here," Gordon said.
"Okay," Jeremy said.
He then walked into the room and sat on one of the chairs.
Then he saw that Captain Gordon was leaving the place. He thought this person would sit and talk to him, but nothing like that happened.
Jeremy closed his eyes to take a rest.
About 20 minutes later,
A corrupted beast appeared near the city wall. It was moving directly toward the small outer post building where Jeremy Night was staying.
The Corrupted Beast was four-legged and had a tail. When it appeared under the sunlight, the beast's identity beca clear. It was the Tier-3 Dog Corrupted Beast.
The current appearance of the dog was related to different species. Before the mutation era, this type of dog was considered to be the best hunter. Now it has beco corrupted. Its nature had beco violent and bloodthirsty as well.
The Corrupted Beast carefully inspected the surrounding area. After seeing that there was no movent, it moved towards the small building in search of prey.
Inside the building, Jeremy Night was resting. Suddenly, his senses scread at him of danger. It was one of the benefits of the Supre Combat Body Talent.
Jeremy stood up abruptly, took out the black katana from his storage ring, and held it in his right hand. He then slowly walked toward the exit.
His gaze was directed at the outside scene. His senses were still warning him of danger. After walking out of the building, he spotted sothing moving behind the building.
The speed was so fast that he failed to catch its appearance. No doubt Jeremy thought that it was a Corrupted Beast.
Instead of panicking, he channeled the starlight energy and imbued it into the katana blade. In the blink of an eye, the katana blade shone with white light.
The Corrupted Dog Beast slled the scent of prey, which was weaker than it. It got excited and started rushing toward the spot.
Jeremy, who was cautiously moving forward, felt a sudden heart palpitation. Then he saw a Tier-3 Dog Corrupted Beast charging toward him.
He had prepared ntally before coming here. He knew that the corrupted beasts outside the city were mostly above Tier-1.
So he quickly cald down his nerves and tried to face the situation. As the corrupted beast got closer, Jeremy waited for it to approach even more.
Tier-3 Beasts are fast and agile, especially the dog-type ones. He didn't want it to escape his attack. In the blink of an eye, the beast was a step away from biting his neck.
Then he drew the katana to attack.

He imdiately swung it from the side. The starlight blade ca in contact with the beast's body.
Pfff!
The blade went easily into the flesh like butter. The next second, blood poured out like water. The Corrupted Beast scread.
Jeremy's eyes flickered. He felt an increase in the power of the starlight energy. It must be the effect of a small breakthrough.
The Tier-3 Corrupted Beast felt that it had underestimated the prey's strength. Half of its body was injured, and now it was feeling a burning sensation inside.
The beast tried to flee, but its movents were slowed down. Jeremy saw the opportunity and imdiately charged forward to attack.

He swung the blade again. After making a few more slashes, Jeremy saw that the corrupted beast had lost its strength.
He then drew the sword to sever. The blade ca down vertically before separating the corrupted beast's head from its body.
Jeremy realized that the Tier-3 Dog Corrupted Beast was weaker than other Tier-3 Corrupted Beasts he had faced so far.
