Arena,
No one spoke. Jeremy Night and others remained silent. But he was observing the people around him. He was curious about the identity of these individuals.
Each one of them seed to be higher-tier Beast Tars. Their talent must be above B-Grade. It could be said that people from so of the top forces had gathered here.
Just as he was observing the crowd, he heard a commotion.
A masked person wearing a tuxedo entered the arena. The audience started clapping before the noise quieted down slowly.
The masked person then gave a speech. He introduced the challenger and the Corrupted Tier-4 Beast that the opponent was going to face.
Hearing the na of the Corrupted Tier-4 Beast, Jeremy's eyes flickered. He was eager to witness the power of this beast.
Betsy Lowe was at ease after seeing the presenter. There was no nervousness within her now. Her eyes were focused on the arena.
Instructor Jacob looked at both of his students. He couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Then his gaze turned toward the arena.
The Corrupted Tier-4 Beasts were not ordinary Corrupted Beasts. Their bloodthirstiness and cunningness were greater than those of other Corrupted Beasts.
In the arena, the presenter called out the challenger first.
The next mont, a tall masked man wearing a combat suit appeared. No one could see his face, making it difficult to guess his age.
Cheer!
His appearance caused the audience to cheer. They started clapping again in support. Jeremy joined others and clapped as well.
He guessed that the challenger was a famous beast tar. He must have faced similar challenges before.
Boom!
On the other end of the arena, a platform rose from the ground. There was a huge cage on the platform. The appearance of the cage caused the audience to shift their attention toward it.
"Watch carefully," Jacob's voice sounded.
Hearing that, Jeremy and Betsy exchanged glances. The audience had suddenly beco quiet. Jeremy then looked at the cage.
The presenter did sothing before leaving the arena through the glass door. Right at that mont, he stepped out.
Creak!
The cage door opened all of a sudden.
The challenger beca serious as well. He imdiately called out his lifeline beast.
Roar!
A 20ft tall Golden Lion lifeline beast appeared next to him. Its majestic appearance made everyone gasp for breath. But the audience, being higher-tier Beast Tars, quickly recovered.
The Lion Beast directly locked its gaze on the cage. The Beast Tar was looking at the cage as well.
"The Lifeline Beast is actually a Tier-5 Beast. Don't focus solely on its size. It has hidden strength," Jacob said.
Hearing that, Jeremy felt excited. He didn't know why, but he sensed that the Beast Tar and the Lifeline Beast were nervous. If the Lifeline Beast was Tier-5, then what about the Beast Tar?
He must be a Tier-5 Beast Tar as well.
In the arena, the cage door was unlocked. The Corrupted Tier-4 Beast made its entrance. It walked out of the cage on its four limbs.
The Beast's identity was visible to everyone. It was a 15 ft tall Dotted Hyena. Its eyes were blood red. White foam was coming from its mouth as it made low crying sounds.
But Jeremy noticed everyone was on the edge of their seats. If it were a normal person, he would have thought that a Tier-5 Beast Tar and his lifeline beast could deal with the Corrupted Tier-4 Beast easily since the Corrupted Beast's tier was lower than theirs.
But that wasn't the case in reality. A corrupted beast's danger lies in its bloodthirsty nature. The Beast Tars couldn't afford to relax. The sa situation was unfolding in the arena.
Even the Golden Lion Beast looked serious as it observed the opponent. Jeremy's eyes were glued to the arena, as were Betsy's. It was going to be a wonderful experience for her as well.
Jacob was thinking about sothing else. He noticed that the Corrupted Hyena's eyes were redder than usual. He seed to be contemplating sothing.
His heart sank. He knew the arena was involved in illegal activities, one of which included the use of banned drugs on the Corrupted Beasts. This practice made the Corrupted Beasts more violent.
He suspected it was the sa with the Corrupted Hyena in front of them. He thought the challenger had noticed it as well, which was why he was cautious. But this was not sothing he could share with his two students.
They were still young. Even though they ca from the Governor Family, he doubted whether their family had shared any secrets with them.
Cry!
The Dotted Hyena let out another cry. It was extrely hungry. The people behind the arena had purposefully kept it hungry so that it would perform well inside.
The Golden Lion Beast moved in front of the Beast Tar to protect him. This was the job of all lifeline beasts; they put their lives on the front line to fight.
Jeremy noticed this scene as well. His eyes flickered. If it were him, the situation would be different. He could only confront the Corrupted Beasts directly.
Then he realized soone else was sitting beside him. He didn't know about Betsy's lifeline beast, and curiosity rose in his heart. Then he dismissed it the next mont.
It was her privacy; he couldn't ask her. He knew his own situation as well. The body-type talent required harsh conditions to bond with the lifeline beast.
He didn't know whether Betsy had bonded with a lifeline beast or not.
Roar!
Boom!
The fight began between the two beasts. The Challenger Beast Tar stood at the edge of the platform behind their lifeline beasts.
He would only take action at the right mont.
The Golden Lion Beast struck the Hyena with its large right claw. The Hyena sensed the danger and dodged it easily. It then swiftly dashed toward the Challenger Beast Tar to attack.
The Golden Lion Beast was startled. The Hyena began to show its cunningness. The Challenger Beast Tar was ready for this kind of situation.
