Red Moon Chamber
That night, Jeremy received the ssage to leave in 10 minutes. He began to get ready. He put on his uniform.
Since it was an official mission, he couldn’t wear comfortable clothes. After getting ready, he left the room. It didn’t take long for him to reach the lobby.
He then saw a group of people. Senior linda was present among them as well. She was talking to them.
"It must be her team," Jeremy thought.
To be honest, he was not interested in eting them. Joining the team was a formality, should the opportunity arise. He preferred to do missions alone.
He then collected his thoughts and walked up to them with confidence.
Gasp!
"Is he the one?"
"He is a newcor. He is already a Tier-3 Beast Tar. So the team leader was right."
"I don’t know what the Head is thinking."
The mbers didn’t hide their thoughts. They were openly discussing whether the newcor would be a burden for them or not.
linda’s eyes sharpened. She said, "Enough!"
"It’s Head Harold’s decision. If you guys have any problem, I can arrange for a eting," she added in a cold tone.
Hearing that, the mbers beca quiet.
"Follow ," linda said, turning toward Jeremy.
He nodded to her. Then the group left the building. It was not the right place to discuss the mission.
After stepping out, everyone entered the flying cars.
Jeremy entered one and found two more people entering the car with him. They didn’t make any comnts.
Shortly afterward, the four flying cars flew over the city. They were heading toward the City Lord’s office. The mbers then received a ssage from linda.
Jeremy Night was shocked when he read it. He found out that the city office had asked them to gather as soon as possible.
Five minutes later...
They reached the city office. The cars landed on the pad one after another.
They stepped out of the cars under the leadership of linda and entered the facility. The next second, they saw Beast Tars from other organizations standing in line.
linda quickly found the city official and led the team toward him. The other Beast Tars saw them as well. They were scrutinizing the strength of the team.
Jeremy felt their gazes, but he didn’t react. As a Tier-3 Beast Tar, he felt their gazes were filled with probing curiosity rather than hatred or malice.
The team arrived in front of the official, a middle-aged man. linda showed her badge and began speaking to him.
The official took out his device and checked the database. The nas matched the people who had arrived. He then told them to pick a spot and stand quietly. The city office was surrounded by empty land.
linda and the team mbers quickly found a place to stand in line. Jeremy swept his gaze across the other teams.
He estimated there were at least 30 teams. It ant every Beast Taming organization in the city had sent at least one team.
All the other teams looked tense and nervous. Their expressions didn’t go unnoticed by him.
"It appears everyone has the sa fear," Jeremy thought.
None of the forces in the city were ready to offend the criminal organization. Jeremy sighed inwardly. He had seen other cities; they had problems with corrupted beasts and a polluted environnt.
But here, criminals were a greater threat than the corrupted beasts, even though the beasts attacked the city gates frequently.
He shook his head and began to wait quietly.
linda told her team mbers to stay calm. She then noticed Jeremy Night. She wanted to introduce her team to him, but the timing and place weren’t right.
In her team, there were three Tier-5 Beast Tars, including herself. Then there were four Tier-4 Beast Tars and three Tier-3 Beast Tars, including Jeremy.
She had heard about Jeremy Night’s prowess from Head Harold, so she believed his strength was greater than the other two Tier-3 mbers.
linda walked up to the two Tier-3 Beast Tars.
"Theo and Freya, you guys have to stay near Jeremy Night and give him assistance," linda said in a calm tone.
"What?" Freya was taken aback.
Freya was a Tier-3, 8th Rank Beast Tar. She was a middle-aged woman with thick black hair and eyes.
Her skin tone was fair, and she stood 6 feet tall. At the mont, she was confused as to why they needed to provide assistance to the newcor. Shouldn’t it be the other way around?
Theo was doubtful as well. He was a Tier-3, 7th Rank Beast Tar, the strongest next to Freya. He was a middle-aged man with a heavy-built physique, tan skin, and brown eyes and hair.
linda saw that they were unconvinced and noticed that others were watching them.
"I’m the leader here. Follow my orders," linda said coldly.
She then turned toward Jeremy Night.
She said, "Jeremy, if they face a problem, lend them a hand."
"Alright," Jeremy replied.
Theo and Freya exchanged looks. Both of them were angry, feeling that the team leader had insulted them.
The seniors in the group didn’t know what was going on with the leader. They didn’t say anything, but their gazes toward the newcor turned cold.
From their reactions, it was evident they were not going to help him. However, they didn’t know that Jeremy Night didn’t need their help at all.
Only he could save them in tis of crisis, including Team Leader linda.
Jeremy was used to their gazes. He had been watching the conversation and felt no threat from the Tier-3 Beast Tars.
Since Sister linda had spoken, he would help them.
Similar conversations were happening everywhere. The teams of the major forces had decided to carry out the mission.
They couldn’t fool the eyes of the city governors. The higher-ups knew that the governors wanted the involvent of everyone.
So they told their team to do the mission. No one should back away from the mission. If they do, then the governors could take action against them.
