Dry Lake
Jeremy Night was using his x-ray vision to survey the dry lake. There were others who were digging to look for the relic.
But they didn't know their thods were futile.
Jeremy spent half an hour finishing his survey. He didn't find anything. He didn't wait any longer and left the place.
His departure was noticed by other Beast Tars. They had thought the young Beast Tar had co there to try his luck.
They didn't mind him. Jeremy was going to the next location. He was alone on the way.
Swoosh!
A massive four-legged corrupted beast blocked his path. The size of the beast was 4 ters. It was a terrifying corrupted beast.
It opened its razor-sharp mouth to bite him.
Jeremy saw sharp rows of teeth. The beast was a Tier-4 Corrupted Beast. It thought of humans as easy prey.
Swoosh!
The beast made a sudden leap towards him. The massive mouth of the beast was close. If he made a mistake, the beast would bite his neck.
Jeremy's eyes followed the trajectory of the beast. He avoided the deadly mouth. He withdrew his sword and swept the blade at the beast.
Puchak!
The blade sliced through the side of the beast's body. A deep red line appeared.
Roar!
The four-legged beast let out a huge roar, wailing in pain. Enormous pressure radiated from its body.
Jeremy wasn't affected. He withdrew the blade and created distance between the beast and himself.
The beast turned around and charged forward to attack.
Slash!
He did not use his starlight power. Instead, he used a sword move. The blade in his hand danced before coming into contact with the beast again.
Puchak!
The blade left behind slash wounds. A torrent of blood gushed forth.
Already, a lot of blood was pouring out from the injury on its side. Now, even more blood was streaming from other injuries.
Due to the loss of blood, the body collapsed on the ground. Seeing that, Jeremy didn't show much reaction. He did not plan to perform a finishing move.
He decisively left the place and started heading toward the next location.
The ti was already close to evening. He had only checked two places. The third place was not flat land or a lake. It was a small mountain hill.
The height of the mountain hill was over 50 ters above the surrounding land.
When he got closer to the bottom of the hill, he ca across other Beast Tars. They were there as well. His arrival drew attention.
But after taking a glance at him, they minded their own business. Jeremy saw that the Beast Tars were using their earth-type lifeline beasts to dig in the area.
He saw lizards and other ground-type lifeline beasts. Seeing that, Jeremy didn't say anything.
He started using his x-ray vision. His gaze passed through the hard rocks and earth. He saw nothing but soil.
He didn't see any objects. He continued his work. His actions were noticed by other Beast Tars.
They thought he was observing the mountain hill.
As ti passed, they saw the young Beast Tar didn't take his eyes off the mountain hill.
They felt it was weird, but none of them stopped the young man because they themselves were busy with their work.
Jeremy didn't find anything. He planned to leave, but nightti had started. He needed a safe place to hide and rest.
He didn't stay there. He left the mountain hill area and started going towards the next destination.
Along the way, he ca across a cave opening. He rested inside and decided to spend the night there.
The Following Day
Jeremy woke up early. He didn't leave imdiately. Instead, he decided to practice for a few hours.
He closed his eyes and started his breathing thod. The inner healing thod drew natural energy into his body.
Once the healing energy entered his body, he started channeling it through the route. As the energy passed through, his cells greedily absorbed it.
His fatigue was gone. He slowly recovered his energy.
Two hours later, he walked out of the secluded cave. He observed the area. After confirming that no threats were nearby, he resud his journey.
He was on his way to the fourth location. He didn't know whether he would find anything there.
The fourth location was a small river. A small river passed through the wilderness. The river's start and end were outside the wilderness.
After going through the exposed barren land, he got closer to the area. The river was in sight. So were a number of Beast Tars.
He was surprised by the number of Beast Tars. There were more than 20 teams here compared to the previous location.
The teams were using their own thods to search. So were digging manually, and others were using their lifeline beasts directly.
Jeremy Night first observed the situation. He didn't know where to start. Even if he found sothing, he wouldn't take it in front of them.
A few minutes later,
He found a good spot to look from. Then he started using his x-ray vision again. He scanned the riverbed. But he doubted whether he could scan the whole river stretch.
It was almost impossible. From the conversation there, he heard that the river stretched for miles. They had gathered there because the river was not deep at that spot.
It was an ideal place for them to search the riverbed.
What's more, there was no accurate spot. These people were searching randomly. Even if he didn't find anything here, he could go to the other shore to test.
Ti passed.
He found nothing. Eventually, he left this place and decided to go further down. He left the group of Beast Tars.
He was walking alone. He drew attention, but no one disturbed him. Everyone was busy with their work.
Jeremy used the power of his eye ability along the way. He did find broken items washed down from river floods, but none of them were useful.
