"Maybe so creature passing by?" Hua Ci tilted her head and responded. It must have been fairly large, she thought; otherwise, it wouldn't make such a commotion. Likely it was a venomous python. Hua Ci had encountered many of these creatures in the Ten Thousand Poisons Forest recently; most had ended up in her soup pot.
"What's wrong with the array?" Yiyi asked again.
Just then, the array in front of her had so activity—the space enveloped by the array beca extrely distorted, and imdiately after, the spirit force within the array beca chaotic and completely collapsed.
"Yiyi, did you hear soone shouting for help?" Hua Ci asked while listening intently.
"Did I?"
"Listen carefully!"
Yiyi also strained her ears to listen, her expression quickly turning peculiar, "It seems to be Lu Ye's voice?"
The two won exchanged glances, quickly stood up, and headed towards the source of the sound. Monts later, on a large tree a few dozen zhang from the cabin, they found a figure hanging like a rag doll.
"Lu Ye!" Yiyi exclaid in shock, quickly leaping up to him, and brought Lu Ye down. Upon closer inspection, his clothes were tattered, streaked with blood; so cuts were so deep that bones were visible, he was completely drenched in blood.
